I went in due to pain on my upper left molar and turns out I needed 2 crowns! I've had crowns done before so I wasn't nervous but Dr Tara, dental assistants Susie, Jessie and Alize were so nice during the whole appointment! They communicated everything that they were doing, made sure I was numb and comfortable and even brought me a blanket! I left with both my crowns done same day :) The office even has a cool machine that does a 3D scan of all your teeth! Which was fun to look at! Would definitely recommend read more

First time back to beachside smiles in a few years. It was a great experience. Everyone there was very friendly and informative. They have a lot of new technology now for scanning and X-rays and it was interesting to see how easily they could show me visually what we were discussing. Overall it was a pleasant checkup and cleaning and I'm already booked for my next appointment and I'm not dreading it at all! read more

Best Dental office ever! From the receptionist to the Dr, everyone had a great vibe!! I loved everything about this office, thank you for explaining and being thorough .I will be recommending all my family and friends here. read more

The Ladies at Beachside Smiles are fantastic! Very engaged in the journey of improving my dental health. I received a cleaning and laser gum treatment and left happy with the results. Priyam (hygienist) was quick and effective and has since also checked up on me to ensure the work has been continued at home. Dr. Mavadat laid out all my options clearly and was extremely supportive with whatever decision i wanted to make. Their practice's environment was fun (shocking!), comfortable, and professional! read more

This practice is no longer run by Dr. Neihoff which is clear from the moment you talk to the receptionist. Most importantly, the office is lying to patients. They sent a letter out saying Dr. Ana is out temporarily, now months later, a receptionist leaves a message to set up your appointment and makes no mention of the fact she isn't there. So, I set one up only to find it is with some new doctor that I did not consent to. When the receptionist called to confirm the appointment, I asked if I would see her. She said I would be with the other doctor. She did not tell me she sold the practice. I asked if she was there. She said "yes." I then asked if Dr. Ana was still AT THE PRACTCE, and she said, "Yes." So, all of this leads me to believe that this doctor is not confident on his own and the misrepresentation seems illegal in someway to me. Not to mention, the receptionist has called three different times for the same thing -- after confirming an appointment, she left another message to set up an appointment and then called again to confirm an appointment. read more

Terrible. Just a racket. It's sad because the former dentist at Beachside Smiles was awesome. Then she moved and somehow these clowns took it over. All about money and trying to make you pay more despite insurance. I had an awful experience. Despite that my husband and kids went back. Then they had the same terrible month grab experience so now they have lost 4 patients. Loved Dr. Ana and Kathy. Sad they are gone. We have to find a new dentist now. read more

I highly recommend this dental office!!! Went in and the receptionist was the most loveliest person in the world. She was so sweet with the many things I had to ask and was very helpful. The doctor/dentist was the best. I went in for a cleaning and had a wonderful time. 10/10 recommend. read more

I had been going to Beachside Smiles for years prior to Covid. I worked in Manhattan Beach and it was conveniently located near my office. During the pandemic, I changed jobs, started working from home, and no longer felt like it made sense to drive to MB for dental care. But you know what they say, a good dentist is like a good mechanic, never let them go. So I decided to make the trek for my teeth. However, the practice was taken over by two younger dentists, and I was a little hesitant at first. One session with Dr. Castillo quickly dispelled my concerns. The office has been updated, they use state-of-the-art tech to assess your dental health and Dr. Castillo is one of those rare dentists who doesn't judge, but truly cares about your dental health and wants your teeth to be the best they can be. The entire staff is friendly and pleasant and the office has a really nice energy. I drive all the way from the Hollywood Hills because it's worth it! If you're local, it's even more so, check it out. read more

I'm so happy I'm not the only one who had the same experience as the other person who posted before me. Dr. Ana and Kathy were the best! I was used to their service as I had been going to Dr. Ana for over 10 years! Unfortunately the business was sold to some other Dentistry and their crew came and took over. To say I'm utterly disappointed is an understatement. First, they used this new wazoo tooth picture taker thing that shows all of your teeth, magnified. The tech taking the pictures said I had a stain on one of my rear molars. The x-rays showed no cavities, but somehow I was bamboozled into being told the stain could possibly be decay and I needed my filling redone. Confused I had never been told about this before, I had to pay $117 out of pocket to have the filling redone, and scheduled a future appointment. Oh, and this was right before I was told I needed Invisalign which cost $5000 but my $2000 co-pay (for the year) would cover part of it. Which meant any future appointment I would have to pay out of pocket because my yearly co-pay would be exhausted. I have had braces before, and my teeth are fine! This place gave me such a horrible vibe, I asked (three different times) to get my $117 refunded. They are money hungry and don't care about their patients. BYE!! Taking my business elsewhere. Avoid this place!! read more

Dental staff are very nice and very understandable. Very a knowledgeable staff . Would come here again ? Yes I would :)

Everyone in the office is great. And yes I am serious. Who likes going to the dentist? I hate it. They make it a great experience. Wow that is some skill. They are personable, accommodating, skilled, and all around a great team. Anything you need is "in house" which is a big deal. I really appreciate that. thank you thank you for taking care of my teeth!!! read more

Dr. Ana is honestly the best dentist anyone could ask for. After hearing my sister rave about how great her dentist was, I decided to make an appointment with Dr. Ana even though I absolutely hated going to the dentist and had not been in quite awhile. All I can say is my sister was absolutely correct! Dr. Ana is the best! It was such a pleasant experience that started as soon as I walked into the office and was greeted by Cathy (the receptionist) who is awesome and such a pleasure to talk to. I have gone back every six months for my routine cleaning and not one time have I had to sit in the waiting area because they are always on time with my appointments. For anyone who is hesitant to go to the dentist (like me), Dr. Ana is the absolute best to go to because she will make the experience quick, easy and quite enjoyable! read more

I hate going to the dentist but this place makes it enjoyable every time!! I love the staff. Katie was especially welcoming and patient when going over a breakdown of what was done in my appointment and helping me figure out the best course of action to have expensive but needed dental work done and paid for. Highly recommend!! read more

Dentistry at its best. My hubby starting seeing Dr. Ana Niehoff because her office was located close to his work and he found her five star online reviews. Skeptic by nature I was a bit hesitant to change dentist but did so at the urging of my hubby. I am soooo glad I did. I've been seeing Dr. Niehoff for about 1 1/2 years now for routine cleanings. She makes taking care of your teeth easy. She is doing a crown for me now. I was dreading the crown and felt like curling into a ball and start rocking at the first sound of the drill but my fear turned into a big bunch of nothing under Dr Niehoff's care.... the process has been PAIN FREE. I'm going out on a limb here revealing my secret. Dr. Neihoff also injects Botox and Juvederm with absolute precision. No more long trips to Beverly Hills (sorry Epione Cosmetic Laser Center). I'm uncertain if Dr. Neihoff provides this service for individuals who are not patients in her practice but her gem of an office manager, Kathy could provide that information. Go see Dr. Neihoff, you will be happy you did. There location is easy access and there is plenty of free parking. read more

Love this place! Dr Ana is so fun, sweet and (most importantly) a great dentist! I started here recently based on a recommendation from another friend and so glad I did! I have had a regular teeth cleaning and I also needed a filling fixed and she has done both wonderfully. What's also great about this place is Kathy at the front desk- so sweet and helpful! I couldn't be happier with my experiences there- the best! Highly recommended! read more

Let me start by saying, I LOVE going to the dentist. I have loved it ever since I was young. Leaving the dentist's office with a mouth full of awesomely clean teeth is one of the best feelings ever! So, keep in mind that the dentist is already a positive experience for me when I say that Dr. Ana is hands down the BEST dentist to whom I have been in my entire life. She takes dental care to the next level. The receptionist Kathy is about the sweetest woman you've ever met, the new hygenist is KICK-A*# and Dr. Ana is truly one of the best out there. The office manages to feel BOTH homey and welcoming and yet completely professional. It is always SPOTLESSLY clean and smells wonderful. Every single time I walk in the door and I'm greeted with the beautiful decor and Kathy's smiling face I remember why I keep coming back. To top it all off Dr. Ana is GORGEOUS and manages to make everyone feel at ease. If you aren't like me and you don't like going to the dentist, give this office a try, because it's practically like going on vacation! Haha! :) I recommend Dr. Ana to everyone I know and can't say enough positive things. If you are searching for a new dentist look NO further. You simply will NOT find a better dentist anywhere in the Beach Cities!!! Get your pearly whites over to Beachside Smile ASAP and your mouth will thank you! read more

Dr.Ana is an amazing professional. I love her and her team! I always leave her office with a great feeling. Looking forward to my next visit! read more

Everyone in this office is lovely and professional. Service with a smile! Very knowledgeable dentist and orthodontist all in one place!

I've been seeing Dr. Ana for 3 years now. You're not supposed to looking forward to a enjoyable event when you go to the dentist, but when you know that Kathy in the reception will greet you in the nicest way, and that Dr. Ana will treat you using the best dentistry skills you've ever experienced, it does not sound so crazy anymore. (And if I'm crazy, at least I seem to be in good company based on what I read in the other reviews for this dentist office.) I also find that the conventional pain management is excellent on it's own, and since it's enhanced by Dr. Ana's great personality and sense of humor, you're in for a virtually pain free experience. read more

Outstanding dental practice. Dr. Ana is a conscientious, conservative and competent doctor and a wonderful person. I've been to a half-dozen dentists in the last 30 years in SoCal and no one holds a candle to Dr. A. read more

I referred a friend to this dentist, based on the reviews, and she loved the experience (she hates going to the dentist). It was finally time for my checkup and I called and spoke with Kathy who could NOT have been any more pleasant! She emailed me the required forms and followed up to make sure that I received them. I went into the office and immediately felt at home. Very welcoming atmosphere and Kathy was at the desk greeting me like an old friend. Dr. Ana performed all of the work and was so professional, likable, and entertaining. At one point we were laughing with tears running down our faces. I will definitely be back and will continue to refer friends to this practice. A very positive experience!! read more

Came here for the first time and had a great experience. The dentist (Ana) was great. Very warm and friendly person. She also acted as my hygenist for this visit (which I don't think is always the case, but was for this visit). It was a very thorough cleaning. The facility is clean and inviting, and conveniently located in the Bristol Farms shopping center with plenty of parking. Glad to have found such a great dentist! read more

This is the best Dental Office I have experienced in the Southbay. Right when you walk in the door you feel welcomed. The staff there is wonderful and make you feel at home. The cleaning is so delicate you don't even feel like you are having your teeth scraped. They are informative and on top of any questions you may have. I have tried a few other dentists over the years and this office with their delightful "bedside manner" will be my go to place for teeth for years to come! Thanks so much- Michelle Wattles read more

I'm so glad I found Beachside Smiles. My husband and I both see Dr. Ana Niehoff. We have both had experiences with dentists who flit in and out without really getting to know you. These impersonal dentists are also the ones who tend to not care if what they do is hurting. Dr. Niehoff is not one of those dentists. She is outgoing and friendly and tries to get to know her patients. She is also a very thorough dentist. She does not simply look at your charts and your teeth and leave. Her office is clean and the staff is warm and professional. A major bonus is that we can make a 7:00a.m. appointment and not have to make up time off from work. read more

Beachside Smile is wonderful! Dr. Ana is great. The staff is helpful and friendly. Also, she makes great referrals to specialists, such as for a root canal I needed a couple of years ago. read more

Dr. Ana and her entire team are AMAZING!!! This is hands down the best Dental Office i have ever been to. It is so refreshing to walk in and be greeted by some of the friendliest people i have ever met. More importantly, Dr. Ana is INCREDIBLE at her work. I chipped my front tooth a while back, and Dr. Ana was able to completely fix the sharp edge of the tooth so that I didnt need a cap, and you cant tell it was ever chipped in the first place! I will not trust anyone else to take care of my teeth from now on. Also, Kathy will do whatever she can to schedule you for an appointment that works for you, even if you are super busy with work. :) read more

I've been entrusting my gnashers to Dr. Ana for five years and am happy to recommend her as an excellent dentist and a delightful person.
