Typical used car guy tactics ('we have the cheapest cars around' etc) but the vehicles here are below average condition (including easy to fix, child easy to fix, interior defects). The guy that served me showed a real lack of interest and enthusiasm and when he told me he was the owner, the lack of care shown to the vehicles made sense. This is what Robert Kopec sold me a car completely rusted. He had the audacity to say it was cosmetic. It didn't pass inspection, and he doesn't want to return they money I paid cash. I wish I had read the reviews here and not on the marketplace on Facebook. I gave him almost 10k for a car that failed an inspection, and it'sunsafe to drive. Stay away from this place. I purchased a car from Beachside Motors about 6 months ago. After pointing out a few issues with the car before purchasing, they assured me they would fix these issues. Upon arriving to pick the car up, I still smelled burning oil and the breaks squeaked. Robert assured me that in his 20+ years of selling cars, these were normal things and the smell would go away, the breaks just needed to be broken in. Two weeks later the breaks still squeaked and the car still smelled. I took it back to Robert within the 60 day fix period and he claimed that he didn't see, smell or hear any of the issues I was referring to. He literally said, no I do not hear that break squeaking. My girlfriend was in the car with me and we were staring at each other in amazement. I asked, you really can't hear that? That noise, right there? Nope! he said. He did not do one ounce of work on the car after it was purchased. He also lied and said he would have sold the car to someone else for a lot more, but he liked me and couldn't believe he was selling it for so little! A classic snake oil salesman move. It has been 6 months and I have poured over $3000 into this car. Just this morning, the car wouldn't start. Do not buy your car from here, plain and simple. Avoid avoid avoid. read more

Robert is a classic POS car salesmen. I was interested in a truck and took it for a test drive. It drove well but the windshield was cracked and he said didn't notice. Also, the frame and hitch appeared to be spray painted black, covering rust. I looked at other vehicles on his lot and noticed the same black paint on numerous other vehicles. I still decided to make him an offer but we did not come to an agreement. He said he would consider it and call me. That night he called me and said he found my drivers license in the lot and that he would keep it safe for me until I could pick it up. I'm not sure if he never gave me it back after he made a copy of it for the test drive, or if I genuinely dropped it, but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. I had a bad gut feeling that night and decided that it would be a smart move to let my mechanic look at the truck before we went any further. I called Robert the next morning as soon as he opened and asked him if he would be ok with me bringing it to my mechanic who is 9 miles away. I told him that at the same time, he could take my car out for a drive because he was interested in me trading it in. He immediately asked who my mechanic was and said that he had never heard of him. Robert told me that he was getting the windshield fixed that day so I couldn't show it to my mechanic. I asked what time the glass was being replaced because I would be willing to pick the truck up before or after the new windshield was in. He got upset and said "it's my truck, it's not leaving the lot" and also "I'm not going around in circles, what was your offer" I explained to him that I wasn't going around in circles, and that I was interested in the truck. I just wanted to have somebody else look at it first. I said that he was raising some red flags for me because he would not let my mechanic look at the vehicle. Robert got even more upset and said he was done with me and told me to come get my ID and hung up as I was talking. The conversation we had was extremely unprofessional and exactly what you don't want to deal with as a young first time car buyer. I maintained a professional tone the entire time, yet Robert felt that being rude and aggressive was an appropriate response. I stopped by his lot later that day to get my license and I was nervous to even step foot in this office. I figured that I would be yelled at even more. However I was met with a totally different Robert. One that was nice and professional as he handed me my license. It's all an act. He was dealing with a customer at the time. I'm sure the interaction would have been different if we were alone. Don't buy from here, do your research. Thanks for the lesson that I learned from you Robert. read more

Took this 'business' and its owner to the Small Claims Court due to 'errors' made on the sales agreement. Initially the owner Robert Kopek admitted to a 'mistake' and agreed to repay me but after much effort he refused. The court clearly found he was dishonest, since they found against him. Do not do business with this charlatan. read more

Test drove a car that we liked. When I started the car, the belts were squealing. This happened several times before we picked up the car. Robert assured us that was from the Armorall they used when cleaning the vehicle and would dissipate. Several weeks later, went back because the belts were still squealing, He wanted to charge us to replace then even though he knew they were an issue before purchase. I have purchased a car here back in 2015 we are now in 2017!!! STILL to this day I'm STILL fighting back for my money. Gave me a car that didn't run the very first day I went to go pick it up. A Nissan Maxima 2006 really nice car but HORRIBLE condition. Kept bringing it back & forced me into signing up to buy a warranty didn't think anything of it and wondered why he would make me want to buy one? The first day I had it was about around October headed out to Hadley, MA. On my way home I was 18 at the time I had my parents buy me this car because come on... Who doesn't want a car that you finally spot on and want right away? Anyways, on my way home from Hadley was about around 10 pm and the car started slowing down on me. I didn't know why so my boyfriend and I pulled over to see what was wrong with the car which was dark so we couldn't see anything and tried our best to get home. I ended up bringing the car back to the dealer ship. The next morning Mr. Kopec had looked at the car and did something with a machine and then told me I was all set to go. Once again took the car back because I thought it wouldn't happen again next thing you know I see my check engine light turn on which caused the car more problems. He PROMISED me that he would take my car to a Nissan Dealer Ship and have everything fixed as soon as he can from his own pocket. He kept that car within the warranty until I got the car back I had no more warranty, I thought he had fixed the car like he had PROMISED my family and I so I took it back and ended up having more problems with it so I took it to a different dealer to get it looked at and they have told me he has NOT fixed a thing on that car and he had no proof of him bringing it to a dealer and that the car was in terrible shape. I had brought it to Mr. Kopec one last time to ask him what he had worked on and he couldn't answer any of my questions. My car broke down on me by Chicopee River and was towed there and now it just has been sitting somewhere where Mr. Kopec has told the judge that he's been out searching for where my car could be. We are now into 2017 I don't have a car and I STILL don't have my money back. read more

Bought a car here and several months later had to put in over $2,000 dollars and only kept it on the road as I still had monthly car payments. I also had to take it back several times to this dealership for up to two months after purchasing it and did not get even adequate service or respect. The owner there cares only about his profit and once you buy the car, he could not care less. Most of the cars in the lot are dinged up in some way, he patches them up enough only to have it driven from his lot and after that the problems yours.Seriously dishonest person. read more

Wow. The owner was so obnoxious to me pointing out the high mileage on all the vehicles I looked at. They're all near 100,000 miles. Honestly, the cars here seem to be junk yard material. If you buy here you must be desperate, lacking brain cells or, which is the only understandable reason, have a lack of finances. read more

In May 2013 I won a small claims against this business and its owner. Owner added what I believe were 2 fraudulent entries into a sales contract, and the case was found against him. He's still not paid about 1 month later. No integrity. Double check your paperwork with this guy, or better yet, take your business elsewhere. read more

I am not one for writing reviews on companies, but it would be immoral for me to not to inform the world of my experience with Beachside Motors. I have purchased many cars throughout my lifetime and never once had a disappointing purchase, until my experience with Beachside Motors. All-in-all, it was a nightmare that took years from my life. I felt an air of condescension when dealing with the staff which made me uneasy. Besides my better judgement; my wholesome and genuine nature which leaves me having trust and faith in the rest of humanity, I continued on with the transaction. To my regret, the vehicle that I purchased had a variety of issues, that should no way exist if an individual were attempting to sell the vehicle. Without diverging into dire details, I can confidently say that this is the worst company I have ever done business with. Neither myself, my family, friends nor any of my acquaintances will EVER do business with Beachside Motors. I would rather pay MSRP Sticker price on a brand new vehicle and take out a massive loan than step one foot on Beachside Motor's lot. read more
