My wife and I had a craving for a banana split and found this gem on the web. The owners were very nice and we had an old fashioned original banana split. It was perfect!! They also serve ice cream by the scoop and sundaes snow cones and tropical ice. A lot of families here enjoying ice cream. Will be back!! read more

Good t-shirt prices (some as low as a $1.99) and adult bathing suit prices too. Kids bathing suit prices seem a bit high, and you'd be better looking off the beach for those. But for inexpensive gift options, this is a very good choice. read more

This store is pretty much a downsized version of Beach Mart. Prices are high.$30 for a beach umbrella available at Wings or Pirates Cove for $20. And I can't see paying $40 for a off brand Hawaiian shirt. Another reviewer complained about off-brand masks and snorkels. I didn't see the off brands. What I saw was Speedo brand. I don't know much about this sort of item but it seemed to be a little better than toy quality and was priced at $40 for the set. read more

Just went in there today and the lady at the front desk with pig tails was SO NICE! I asked about the Sunbum display and if they sold stickers as I have been looking for some ALL OVER FLORIDA and she just gave me some! RIPS TOURISTS OFF! Went to St. Pete Beach for vacation, and stopped in here to buy snorkeling gear. Paid $50 for two snorkeling sets. I was suspicious when I bought them because the sets looked like they could have been found in a dollar store. In the end I decided that I was probably just not familiar with the local brands and packaging, so I bought them. Got to the beach, and BOTH goggles leaked. Mine leaked so badly I could not use them. My son's also leaked, but he was ok with emptying them every 30 seconds. I headed back to the store to return mine. It was our last afternoon at St. Pete Beach, and I had to take 45 minutes out of my vacation - I was not happy at all. When I got to the store and told the clerk that the goggles leaked, she first accused me of not knowing how to adjust straps, and then accused me of dropping the goggles! I was floored! Drop them where, on the sand?! She said that no refunds are given under any circumstances. As a business owner myself, I knew that something wasn't right. I think they KNOW that their goggles leak... and I told her so. She let me exchange them for the same kind. She opened the "new" goggles, looked at them and said "these work fine". I guess she can test for leaks in the air somehow, so that's pretty amazing. Back at beach, guess what? Of course they leaked just like the others. This business should be investigated. They are selling dollarstore-quality items for a premium and refusing all refunds. I think they are targeting tourists that don't know any better and who aren't going to be repeat customers anyway. Both times I've come here to buy a swimsuit, the sales associates have been very on-task. They are a little concerned with making the sale more than helping, though, which is reasonable but sometimes frustrating. It's very expensive, too. Upsides are the close location to pretty much every resort and hotel in the area and the pure variety of stuff they have. The swimsuits are really good quality, too! Two girls stood at the counter chatting about a guy while i waited in clear view to ask if they had larger size shirts. One girl snapped a quick "No" at me at the time time the other girl told me where they were located. I had already been put off when we first came into the store because as i was looking at the necklaces one the non snappy one stood right beside me (not 6 foot away) and watched me look through them without saying a word, which was super awkward. After the second situation we left without over $100 in souvenirs. I do not recommend. There are plenty of other shops. read more

Horrible customer service and a bunch of rude teens!! I was over charged by 28.00 on a item I never bought. When I called after seeing this when I got home and hour away she told me I'd have to come back or to bad for me I should have looked sooner at my slip!! Mind you I'd have to pay tolls both ways and a hour drive. He do not care and told me it was my own fault. She dropped the phone 3 times and told me she owned the store. Right across the street from Tradewinds which made this very convenient. They have a range of products from nicer sandals to generic cover ups. There are beach toys and souvenirs as well as Ray Ban glasses. Everyone was helpful and attentive in the store. Wish there was better signage for the beaded clothes - store is pretty huge and there was a lot of cheesy tourist stuff sprinkled throughout. read more

I do not think I have ever given a 5 star review before. They are awesome. Our daughter's friends (a brother and sister) bought matching snow globes from Beach Zone. When our 5 year old daughter accidentally broke the snow globe, her friend was devastated. There are few things worse than your daughter coming home crying saying she lost a friend. Luckily, we called Beach Zone and they were able to locate the globe and now, my daughter will be able to return the item she accidentally broke. The store is full of options for men and women and the sales associates are very helpful and polite. When I bought a pair of men's trunks on vacation, however, things went downhill. The trunks tore on the back left thigh after an hour of laying at the pool with no horsing around or athletic activity. The manager was rude and supremely unhelpful when I went to return them, repeatedly telling me I didn't buy them torn and that I must have done something to tear them. I concurred I did not buy them torn but expected more than an hours use from them. She offered neither exchange nor refund and kept repeating herself. The manager is terrible. A middle aged man who got mad at my parents for taking the second shirt instead of the top one. He complained at them not once but twice. They put the top shirt back but it was not to his liking apparently. He shook his head a lot at them while they weren't looking. Which as their daughter makes me angry. If they were messing the store up and being rude about it then I would understand but they were not. Then he got mad at me for not reading the price tag correctly. I accidentally grabbed a 2 for $12 shirt instead of 3-$24 so I had to go back and find another 3-$24. He was VERY rude and condescending and shook his head at me while I was trying to find a shirt. We were the only ones in the store so we were not holding up the line. I haven't had this type of outright disrespectful customer service. If we were not in a hurry we would have left but we were just trying to stop in a place to bring home shirts for family members. We spent over $100 and regret giving them our business. My boyfriend tried to return an umbrella that we purchased that did not come with a stake. The person handling the return actually accused him of stealing the umbrella since we used Apple Pay and did not have a receipt. He finally accepted the return but we shouldn't be accused of stealing a $20 umbrella that came with no stake. I went to Beach Zone today and I went to buy a cute bathing suit but then looked at the price tag and saw it was $100 ,I could buy it off Amazon for less than half the price and cuter. Soo if you are tight on money of can not control yourself I don't suggest going. For you rich folks though their souvenirs are very cute and festive so I suggest you go. The staff is very busy and occupied and cold not help much. I had to go and try a bathing suit on so I asked for someone to open the door and she dropped what she was doing to help me. I went in to find a cover up to wear around the house as I was on my way to the flight to end my Florida vacation for my birthday. I picked up s m and l in 2 dresses and one dress that only had one small left and a medium in another. I always try on more than one size if I don't know what size I wear at the time. The lady in charge of the dressing room only allowed me to try on what size that she thought I would wear in each of the 2 dresses that I wanted to try on a s m and large in. I was annoyed by this but I tried the sizes on that she thought but I didn't like how they fit. I did not feel like going to get the other sizes to try those on as it takes more time to get them and go in the dressing room a 2nd time. Or maybe 3rd time since she felt like giving me one size at a time probably. So therefore she may had cost the store a sale. After I had found the dress I wanted out of the other items I had tried on, I headed to the check out. There I was checked out and not thanked for my purchase. I don't know what happened to customer service which includes to always thank the customer. This was like not dealing with an actual human. It was very unfriendly and very insincere. Looks like this place could use a more recent review. Last month I went to look for some shorts. Found some and a dress on sale and got them both. I didn't pay a lot of attention to the credit card receipt I signed and trusted the salesperson. When I got home(out of state), I discovered I had a charge on my card of $75.00 and my receipt in the bag and total spent was $22.I called and spoke w/ Michelle, I guess she is the manager, who says there is nothing she can do about this even though I faxed her my receipt which clearly shows my total. Guess I should not have trusted the salesperson. She says that there is no proof that I was there at the time of the $22 purchase. She said she will look on the camera video to see what/who is shown but has yet to get back with me. I guess that if I return the 2 items which have not yet been worn, she will reimburse me the &75.00? Likely NOT!! Not a good experience! read more
