Shoutout to Val for providing wonderful service. We walked in and we're given a choice of eating inside or outside. There is limited seating available in both areas. Our server, Val, brought us a round of waters and menus, and we ordered some appetizers. We started off enjoying the peel & eat shrimp and coconut shrimp appetizers. Both were delicious. The peel and eat were large "reds" and coconut shrimp was nicely breaded, and crispy. For our entrées, we enjoyed two portions of grouper. We only ate here bc of proximity to coming right off the beach. The food is bland. The grouper grilled shrimp and oyster. Bland. They had a nice side salad and broccoli and corn which made it healthy at least. The service. Oh my. Linda. She is not friendly. I tried to order drinks and apps and she pushed getting dinner. She was rushing me that I almost forgot to order the bland oysters and gross BBQ barely cooked bacon wrapped scallops. When I tried to back up to order the apps. She literally yelled. Are you not going to order your kids entrees? Like accusing me of child abuse. The table next to us looked up. Then when I tried to order my son's dish w sides. She kept insisting / yelling w wide eyes. It only comes w fries. And I explained I'm not ordering the basket of shrimp. I'm ordering the entree. When she finally listened. She apologized and realized how rude she was coming across. Probably bc both my husband and kids as well as the other table had awkward shocked looks on our faces. She was much more pleasant after that. I tried not to take offense. Maybe the fan was distracting her from listening as it was blowing us out of the restaurant. The fan was on so high w the AC that everyone was freezing bc we came from the beach w wet bathing suits under our clothes. The kids kept going outside to warm up while we dove for our napkins and other items that flew off the table every min from the hurricane winds. I mean fan. We asked if they could turn it down or off and they said the other table wouldn't approve which was funny bc their child was wearing a hoodie and had to also go outside to warm up complaining loudly he didn't want to eat his chicken. He was too cold. Clearly they would have not wanted that fam off. They also are child abusers like us. I'm leaving detailed of a review bc I want a reminder that $160 later for a family of 4 isn't worth this and to not repeat this mistake bc we visit this beach often. Stayed in IRB for the week and wanted a fried seafood platter. Stopped by here. Parking on front for free, which was limited, and then on the side there is paid street parking. We were seated immediately. Due to the size of the place we were right next to the kitchen window and the aisle where everyone walks. Didn't love that but there weren't many options for seating. They only offer Pepsi products. There appeared to be only two waitresses for the restaurant this night and they were very busy so service was not great. Basically order was taken and food delivered and no check in for refills or anything else. I ordered a cup of the crab and corn chowder. The flavor was good but this was definitely a corn chowder. I did not taste or see any crab. I'm from Maryland so this was disappointing. For my entree I ordered the shrimp and scallop platter from the entrees. Basic fried food with no seasoning. Fries were very basic, also no seasoning. Would not come back or recommend unfortunately. read more

This place is located on the side of a strip location with other businesses. There is Outdoor seating with no view, but has a cute area with fans and misters. A fun little place in IRB on Gulf Blvd. We stopped in for an early dinner and were able to be seating right away in the back bar. Even though we're in our early 60's it seemed like we were the youngest people there. The server was awesome and waited on us immediately. They have a decent selection of beers and a full bar. They state that all of their drinks are made: "with a wine base liquor is a fermented beverage flavored to mimic the taste of a traditional distilled spirit". Sounded intereting but wasn't willing to spend the money to just try it. I did try the Grouper Philly sandwich which was very good. I'm always on a quest to try Grouper served a different way and they did a great job. My wife ordered the Grouper Rueben and also liked it very much. We both ordered hush puppies and would agree with a another reviewer that they had good flavor but were very dense. All in all not a bad place and my only reason for not doing 5 stars is the back bar was super small and I felt like our neighbors were sitting super close. Delightful local gem. They told us to call when we were 20 minutes away to be put on top of the waitlist. Worked fine. Meeting visitors who wanted to see the sunset over the gulf. Wow, the food was fantastic--from the grouper and Maui tacos to the kids' chicken tenders. The chicken was obviously homemade and tasted great. Everything we ordered was fresh and really well prepared. Linda was our server and she was excellent--friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. The entire restaurant feels very well run, and it's clear they truly care about the food they serve and the customer experience. Whoever owns and manages this place clearly knows what they're doing. Two people in our party had the smash burgers and said they were very tasty. My husband ordered the Cajun grouper sandwich and he said he would definitely order it again. I had the clam strip basket and it was good. The fries are crispy and they don't skimp on the quantity. I wasn't a fan of the hush puppies (too doughy and dense in the middle) and the slaw was vinegar based, which I don't personally like. We came here on a Tuesday night for dinner. They weren't too crowded. They have a pretty mural outside their building. All the tables are shaped like a surf board, which is unique. The chairs were really comfortable. The way they were shaped on the back part kind of hugs your back. It felt really good and comfortable, especially when your back is hurting. The service was good. Our server Linda was nice and friendly. We ordered Beachin Burger. It was really good. It was a good size, nice and juicy, and thick. Best restaurant burger I have had in a long time. Our favorite place to visit in Indian Rocks Beach! They have the BEST fried ice cream (in fact, this is where I discovered that there's such a thing) and I'm not even kidding, their lemonade is soo amazing!! My family and I had such a lovely dinner here. Although we weren't able to sit by the outdoor area, it was still close enough to the beach that we were able to step out and enjoy the sunset while waiting for the food. We split a bunch of stuff - ahi tuna was delicious, as well as the grouper cheeks and crab cakes. Our favorite was the royal red shrimp though. The best food we had on our vacation to Indian Rocks Beach. Nice casual vibe inside with big windows for lots of natural light. Friendly service: We sat down for dinner but our toddler had a meltdown while ordering, so they graciously switched our food to takeout with no fuss. We really enjoyed the seafood (why else do you travel to the ocean?!). The grouper cheek appetizer was a nice sized portion of fish; the bites were hardy and chewy, so they felt substantial. My wife got the shrimp & scallops dinner; smaller portion of course but still tasty. I got the mahi mahi, which was a larger piece of fish, well-seasoned, and filling. We got our fish either blackened or pan-seared (you can also get it friend). Both options tasted about the same: good flavor and not too salty. The other seafood we had or saw advertised at restaurants was either not as tasty or very expensive; this fish hit the spot for us! The sides were solid, though not as outstanding as the fish. Fries were very plentiful. The rice & beans side was large but I'd say could have had a few more beans (mostly white rice). The Mexican street corn had a lot of corn topped with a savory orange-ish sauce that we couldn't quite place (it looked like cheese but wasn't).
