What an amazing trip courtesy of Beach Helicopter! From the moment we walked through the door we felt appreciated. Kim was very helpful and prepped us for the flight. We were undecided on which tour to purchase, but ultimately we opted for the full length tour and it was worth every penny! Mike, our pilot, guided us through an extremely informative tour of the beaches & landmarks. We spotted schools of dolphins, a few sharks and other various sea creatures. Awesome experience from start to finish. My wife and I came to Destin for our honeymoon and wanted to do a helicopter ride (neither of us had ever been on one before). Super friendly staff from when I called until the very end. Pilot was awesome at giving a tour and pointing out sea life as well as landmarks around the area. I live in the Silver Shells condominiums and the helicopter going back and forth every 15 minutes is very annoying to say the least. It gets very old hearing and seeing the helicopter go by all throughout the day, multiple times within each half hour. Very noisy and aggravating every single day! read more

Ton of fun!! Went with the daughters never been in a helicopter but it was great. Flew down the beach saw a ton of sharks to my surprise and yes the sharks were close to the beaches. Pilot was really good and informative. They don't do reservations just show up pay and they will give you eta so you don't have to wait in Office. Office staff was very nice as well. This was our family's first helicopter flight. I have flown (fixed wing) for business for over 20 years and this was by far the smoothest flight I have ever taken. My 14 year old some loved it so much he talked my wife into going so he could get a second trip. This time he got to ride up front with the pilot. Everyone had a great time. After being on the beach and watching the dark colored helicopters flying up and down all day, it was time to figure out the fuss. I drafted my daughter and made some calls. Our first option was Timberwolf at the airport. They had a longer flight, with slightly higher prices. We arrived to learn that our flight time was rescheduled due to a large party's upgrade to a longer flight. We cancelled, and called Beach Helicopter, which is "walk in" traffic...sort of. You get added to a list, and get a call when it's time for your ride. They can approximate times. The flight we picked was 18 minutes. The pilot was accommodating, and asked us which way (north or south) we wanted to go. He explained that there was a better chance to see sea life southward, so we opted for south toward the jetties. It's incredible to see the beach from the air. It's fun to see sharks swimming among the beach-goers. The pilot was quick to point out sea life as he spotted it, and make an effort to circle around to give everyone a chance to view it. I recommend this tour over Timberwolf's option for the customer service alone. read more

Beach helicopter tour was definitely a blast! The couple who runs the place were very friendly and professional. Making sure we were comfortable and feeling safe. Mike, the pilot, was really knowledgeable of the area we flew over. Lots of amazing sights from up about. Sharks, dolphins, rays, tarpon, and redfish were all spotted with clear visibility. I highly recommend you knowing what the tide is doing so that you'll have beautiful water color. Things to know about this place is its first come first serve so just show up when you're ready. We went the first week of May so there was no line but I can only imagine there's people waiting during peak season. Well I hope you all will enjoy your tour as we did! read more

After contemplating for weeks about going on a flight, my girlfriend and I took the plunge. Mind you I am freakishly Afraid of heights. After speaking with the front desk woman she was kind and explained what the flight would consist of. After being walked out to the helicopter and getting in the front seat it started to sink in. As I was about to get out the pilot started making small talk to calm me down. He gave me some facts about helicopters and spoke with me about exactly what it will feel like to take off. The ride was amazing! Suffering from claustrophobia and fear of heights this was a huge step for me. I will do the many times again, these people are professional and just good people. I manage a business in Mary Esther and have told many people about my experience! 12/10!!!! read more

Daughter and I had a blast. Pilot was extremely nice. Would do it again. I highly recommend this place but know there is a weight limit.

They were very accommodating of our 6 and 2 year olds. We loved our tour and the memories with our kids.

I have no idea how you can trust these people to fly a helicopter when you can't even trust what they say on the phone. We called 5 hours in advance, right as they opened up and the told us between 1-2pm the helicopter would be back because it had FAA inspections. So we get there around 1:30pm and they tell us it'll be an hour because of maintenance now and they'd call us back. Instead, we don't get a call so we went back to see what was going out. Come to find out the helicopter was completely taken apart and we wouldn't be able to fly at all. It's beyond frustrating having driven all the way from Navarre Beach and disappointing since this was the last day of our trip. I wouldn't be nearly as mad if they didn't blatantly lie to us. read more

Our family visited Destin last week, and despite some iffy weather we were able to treat our kids to a helicopter ride. My oldest daughter has dreams of being a military helicopter pilot and it was truly a thrill. As a family of 4 and a 3 passenger limit, they were very accommodating it allowing our 2 kids to ride twice for price of 1 ride while my wife and I each had a turn as well. The staff were professional, and Christian the pilot was very nice, and despite a storm front coming in gave us a super smooth ride. We saw dolphins and sharks, really cool views of the beach as storm clouds approached. Only regret is we would love a longer ride! Always next year!
