My first time doing an escape room, so I have no basis for comparison. Located in a small strip mall. The person who helped us was very nice and she did a nice job of explaining how things worked. The escape room was pretty small for the 4 of us. I am not fond of confined spaces, but I managed. The clues were a little more cryptic than I would have expected for the Intermediate Level. This was my first time doing an escape room and we were a party of 4 seniors. I will say the room itself was smaller than I expected, and way darker than expected. The young woman working there was very friendly and helpful. She explained the rules and then left us on our own. We were totally helpless finding the first clue and had to ask for help. As we moved on we got stuck again and she gave us another clue. The locks are very small, and the lighting is poor, even with flashlights, so we struggled quite a bit. We were struggling more, and I think she felt sorry for us, so gave us another clue. LOL. That was a big help and stupid on our part for not recognizing it sooner. We thought we had completed the room and headed out the door, but she came and told us we weren't done. LOL. In the end, we ran out of time. I think we would do better next time as we are now more aware of some of the ins and outs. Definitely a fun time. read more

Found a deal with Groupon with my little family of 3. We have done several escape rooms in the past, so we let our son choose which room to do. You get 3 clues that are free & then any after that, they dock 2 mins from each extra clue. Even the medium one was a bit difficult & there are things that can throw you off, but we definitely had a blast & it is great team building activity. Makes us exercise our brain & communication skills. Check in process was easy, just need to sign a waiver when you get there. We were able to escape & get out of the room with 30 seconds left to spare! Talk about adrenaline! I'd definitely come back here to try the other rooms. Not sure if all rooms are the same size, but the one we got was a little. I wouldn't recommend anymore than 5 people in the group, unless you're ok with a crowded room. Might be spooking for little ones, but overall great experience & will plan to return. read more

Oh boy, where do I even begin with this "escape" room experience? Let's start with the broken puzzles, shall we? It was like trying to solve a Rubik's Cube that had been melted and reassembled by a toddler with no thumbs. Nothing made sense, and every time we thought we were onto something, it turned out to be broken or have missing pieces. It was like the designer of the room was actively trying to keep us from escaping. And then there was the customer service. I swear, I've never seen anyone so disinterested in their job. It was like they were secretly hoping we would fail so they could go home early. We had to practically beg for hints, and when we did finally get one, it was usually something like "have you tried solving the puzzle?" Oh, no, we hadn't thought of that! Genius. Honestly, the only reason I'm giving this place one star instead of zero is because it was so hilariously bad that it became entertaining. We spent more time laughing at the absurdity of it all than actually trying to escape. So if you're looking for a bad time, I guess this is the place for you. A year ago, we played Honky Tonk which was honestly one of the worst games I've played in over 100 different escape rooms. So much so my group still laughs about it. There was no real story, and the puzzles all felt like time sucks rather than us solving anything. About 45 min in you needed to use markers and a black light flashlight, the markers were dry and the battery dead on the light. We all raised our hands for assistance. No one came until our time ran out, we explained to the host what had happened and never even got an apology, we Might have finished if we had the appropriate gear needed. Very creative, well designed and thought out escape room! My husband and I did the murder investigation room (I don't remember the name of it). It's not the typical themed room which we loved. It was difficult, but that's the point! I can't express enough how absolutely creative this room was!! We had a great time and Gabby made the experience exceptional! A group of us that have gone to many escape rooms in the Tampa Bay and Orlando area decided to give this one a try. It was chaos. The puzzles were more random than clever and due to staffing issues, we ended up getting incorrect clues for the puzzles we were stuck on. No shade to the game master because they were handling what the company allowed to be booked, but it was a really disappointing experience that had the whole group giving up. Highly recommending trying some of the other escape room in Clearwater or Largo instead. read more

We came here on a family vacation looking for something fun to do as a group. We had 4 in our party and did the Dragon Saloon room, which their website currently lists as perfect for all ages. First i want to note, the front desk attendant/game master was delightful. Very sweet and did her job as expected throughout our time here. Once we signed our waivers and got into the actual game though, things went downhill. We were lost throughout most of the game to be honest. I won't list specifics on the room itself, but essentially there was very little story to follow and the clues were very difficult/confusing to piece together. Some of the puzzles we figured out just on pure guess work. At one point, we had solved one part of a puzzle and were waiting for something to happen. We kept trying to figure out what we did wrong for about 5 minutes before the game master came into the room and told us that there was a malfunction and had to help us through to the next part of the puzzle. There was no time added, which was a little disappointing, cause 5 minutes can really make a difference when you've got a time limit! But we just shrugged it off and continued on. We ended up running out of time before we could escape the room. The game master came in and told us we were only 2 puzzles away from getting out, but we looked around and saw there were 4-5 locks/puzzle we hadn't even touched yet. Not sure if she was just trying to make us feel better about not getting out, but it was certainly confusing. She said that this was actually their HARDEST room, it had just been converted from a different story and their website was incorrect. Such a bummer. We didn't try their other rooms, so they may of some fun options we didn't get to see. But the Dragon Saloon is definitely one to avoid. read more
