I'm familiar with this location. Been here a ton of times. However, today I did not appreciate what happened. I came in to the salon with my own nail polish! At some point while my hands are being serviced. The man says something to a young lady. She took my bottle of polish behind me and kneels on the floor, where I can't see her even when I looked over my shoulder. And spends roughly a minute and a half doing whatever. After sitting there in full of confusion, I decided to ask the guy who's working on my nails. Why did she go over there with my polish? All of a sudden there is a language barrier, and he doesn't answer my question as if he did not understand. This is a very distasteful action. My nail polish should have never left my site. This would be the first time it was opened and used. There was no reason for the Lady, who was not servicing me to take it, especially when no one asked and I couldn't see what she was doing. Lastly, If I would walked out of there with one of their items the police would have been called. How dare they behave this way to a paying customer. And act as if it was normal. To Son: I don't care what machine you're speaking about when your staff did not ask! You don't get to make that decision for me. I'm 100% sure you do not mix every bottle of polish in your salon. Why would a brand new bottle need to be mixed. I never even seen you mix the bottles you have in the salon during service. The issue is that I wasn't asked and I'm left in the dark. Reassurance, therefore, after is irrelevant. And to the claim that it will apply better. Now , a week after getting my nails done, I see weak areas. read more

Peter does a good on my nails, I don't have any complaints. The salon is clean, there are plenty of spa chairs for pedicures. They accept cash or credit. I heard they are under new management. Terrible. Terrible. The owner was very rude and rushed my nails. I was visiting from LA and was looking for someplace quick so stopped here. He rushed my pedi and did not spend any time massaging or doing all the things that come with the pedicure. Then I asked for wax and he rushed and left wax all over my neck. I gave this two stars. 1 for it's convenient location and one for efficiency. This place is so impersonal and unwelcoming. I felt like I disturbed the four workers that were setting in the spa chairs read or on the mobile devices. When I walked none of them looked up. The guy at the register spoke to them in their language. They kinda looked up with disinterest some he pick one. The guy was cold and unfriendingly quiet. Just received a $36 dollar pedicure from this location, from Peter. It should have been $6 considering the lack of relaxation and treatment that you would think come with a pedicure. It was rushed, sloppy, polish slapped on my toes and nothing else that comes with a pedicure besides soaking your feet in some blue water. AWFUL! read more

I really wish I went to yelp before I stepped into this salon. I was in town for a wedding and needed a gel mani/pedi. I was shopping in the center nearby and saw this salon. Upon entering I noticed that there was not a long wait and that the salon looked clean with plenty of techs/seats. That's is where the 1 star comes from... a clean looking salon with plenty of seats. I received one of the male technicians and was seated to get my pedicure. It was the quickest pedicure I've ever received. When I was asking him to cut the nails a particular way he looked at me like he had no idea what I was saying and ignored my request. Throughout my pedicure him and another male technician were clearly making fun of another elderly customer and her aide. Blatantly stating, pointing and laughing when the elderly women needed help into her seat and then the aides choice of footwear. I had finally grew my nails long enough to have s nice gel manicure for the wedding and when I sat down this technician cut three of my nails down almost past the tip of the finger. Just. Three. So, visibly upset, I asked him to cut the other nails. Again, a look of confusion and ignored my request. I asked again for him to cut my other nails so they'd all be the same length. He cut them, almost sort of even. I have some crooked nails but I didn't even care at that point. I don't know what the standard is to sterilizing salon tools. He gave his tools a quick spray of alcohol and before it dried started working on me. Yay for possible nail fungus. Also throughout the manicure he kept turning away from me to watch the soccer game. The charge on the board was 26 for a pedicure and 20 for a gel manicure. I was charged 57 dollars. I don't know why and I didn't inquire because I just wanted out of this place in the worst way. My polish started peeling off 5 days later. I'm going to assume that it because the technician didn't wipe off the oil he slathered my nails in before he polished them. He sprayed them with alcohol and painted over them immediately. Save your sanity and go elsewhere. Some of the other girls went to California nails and had an excellent experience. read more

I started coming back to this salon in September. I was told it was under new management so I had high hopes. Every time I came in I was noticing the changes and upgrades. All the nail tech I have been to.. have been great. Except for this last one. Unfortunately I don't remember their names.. the lady that sits at the first chair on the left side is great! Great conversation and did a beautiful job, the chair next to her also did a great job. The second to last time I went in, I went to a lady that I think was the third chair on the right hand side. She basically told me my nails looked like crap (she knew her co worker did it because she asked me). I got dip all of these times. And her set was the worst, it was very thick.. and it looked like I had acrylic on. Which leads me to the last time I came in. It was the second to last chair on the left side. It was a man. I kept telling him I had dip on, I looked away for a second and he thought he could pop off my dip.. thinking it was acrylic. And I jerked my hand back because It hurt, and I repeated that it was dip. Then he cut my nail with a nail cutter with the dip still on!!!! That also hurt, I literally wanted to leave but he said sorry and I thought I should trust the process. Boy was I WRONG! I should have just left. I had square nails and wanted it almond shaped. I showed him the design I wanted. It was clear with pink tips like a French mani and has an additional line on it, he said no problem it would be done. Asked me to pick a color and I went with purple. He started covering my who nail with purple. I was confused but kept telling myself to trust the process. But then after someone I asked, and I said I wanted it like the picture. Then a girl and he were trying to convince me to flips the colors around. It didn't make sense to me because in the picture it was clear and pink, how would I flip those colors around? It would just be all pink. They told me to try it with white, so I said ok let's just see how it looks. It looked terrible. So they took the white off. Then he re did a finger twice because it was not coming out smooth. But later when I looked at my nails, multiple nails are NOT smooth. It has only been one week and my right hand, all the nails are lifting. I have never experience that with dip. Also, I usually pay $55 before tip. This time they charged me $70, apparently $5 to shape my nails?????!!!!! And $10 to soak my nails off! This guy is out of his mind, I was so mad that not only will I not come back to him, I won't go back to the salon. It's unfortunate because I liked 2 of the nail techs but this last visit was outrageous. And the fact that my nails look Terrible one week later sucks, I can't even put my hair in a ponytail because the hairs are getting caught between the dip and my real nail. read more

Kelly does good nails but after calling to see her availability I was constantly being told that she will be in the following day and when I would call they gave me another day. I talked to a man who claimed to be the manager and when I asked him when she would be in after calling for 3 weeks straight he told me he didn't know. How does a manager not know when their employees r coming in. that sounded shady. I went to Be nails yesterday to get an acrylic mani and pedi. I decided to go here again because I was happy with the service I got a few months ago when I went for a pedi. I didn't feel like the woman who did my nails was very friendly to begin with. She did my pedicure really nice which I was happy with. It went downhill when I went to get my manicure. When I sat down I literally showed the woman 2 pictures of how I wanted my nails short and round. As she started to put the acrylic on she shaped my nails straight and really long. I told her again I want them short and her response was why didn't you tell me. I told her that's why I showed her my picture smh. Once she was finished with my nails she charged me extra 3 bucks because I wanted them round. I didn't tip her and felt bad till after I left and looked at my nails. Since I was watching tv I didn't even notice that she had not done anything to my cuticles except for put that lotion on it. She didnt clip my hang nails either. I also noticed she didn't wipe off the previous nail polish on the tip thumb nail. While this place was clean and have good choices for polish I was highly disappointed at the lack in detail and unfriendliness. My nail tech Sara was PHENOMENAL! I got a fill w/shellac & some glitter on my hands and a polish change on my toes. Unfortunately, I had to leave with wet toes because they do not provide the foot dryers anymore. I was told due to Covid. My regular polish smeared as i exited my vehicle to get food. I returned the next day to get "touched up, only to be told by the "mgr/owner" Kelly, " We don't repair "regular" polish, you should've gotten shellac." I explained.. #1) I wasn't told that #2) I wasn't prepared to pay an additional $25 for shellac on my toes in addition to the $70 I had already paid. Long story short, she was very rude, curt and argumentative and proceeded to walk away while I was still talking. Wow these reviews are horrible and I really think they are due to the techs - the only two people who I will allow to touch my nails here is David who is always my first choice and Ann. David is phenomenal I've never had a problem with him nor Ann. But I will admit the others in the salon are not good once I had another guy do my nails and the polish job was horrific. the polish was all over my skin and not perfect like techs should polish. Went there after receiving a gift card for a mani and pedi and despite it being a little busy for my liking- I had a great time and the service was wonderful. I didn't have any wait and there were plenty of staff to accommodate everyone which can be rough during a rush hour. My nail shape is great and the pedi was so relaxing. Looking for just a quick pedicure. Another woman came in at the same time I did and was requesting a nail Tech that was not available. She didn't ask the nail Tech that was going to do her pedicure if she could just get them buffed and clear polished. The nail Tech seemingly did not understand her Which does happen in nail salons because many of the people don't speak excellent English. Instead of the person asking for qualification he just seemed to be getting brutal and ruder with her and she realized it. Meanwhile my nail Tech was ignoring the whole thing and only commenting very few times to Help with the transaction that was right next to me. I asked if my nail tattoo was just basically running water for me Could switch and maybe I would get the other guy because I just needed a simple Polish. My nail Tech was indignant and refused to do so. I told the woman let's walk out and we both did. They seem very rude and they lost at least 80 to $90 from the both of us. Back story: Around 8 months ago I went to Be Nails and requested a shellac manicure. It was the middle of the day on a weekday so it was only me and two other customers. In the middle of my manicure, two individuals walked in and let the employees know they are with the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs and asked to see all the nail techs licenses. As soon as this happened, my nail tech as well as the nail tech who was working on the customers nails next to me DISAPPEARED. Myself and the customer next to me sat there for 45 MINUTES while the state employees waited around for them to reappear (which they never did). I asked the ONE employee who remained if the two who fled had a license and she pretended like she didn't hear me. Like a fool I stayed until the nail tech who remained was done with her customer so she could finish my nails. They didn't offer a discount off the price even though I was there for 2 hours and probably had a tech doing my nails who did not have a license. Fast forward to today. I stopped going to Be Nails after the above situation happened but my new nail salon was booked and couldn't get me in so I took a chance and went back for a shellac manicure. Upon arriving I was greeted by a nice man who proceeded to help me soak off my previous shellac. While I was soaking he went outside and smoked a cigarette and came back smelling like an ashtray (mind you I am also 9 months VERY pregnant). He then starts filing my nails which I start to inspect. My nails are all filed uneven and jagged so I kindly point out what I'd like him to fix. He spends 2 seconds pretending to fix it and moves on to removing my cuticles. On all ten of my fingers he spends around 20 seconds, again pretending, to remove my cuticles. Now I have a lot of cuticles (which nail techs love to point out to me) so it should have taken him much more than 20 seconds to complete this task. I then ask him for a nail file so I can fix my own nails, which he doesn't understand because he speaks no English. One of the other techs has to tell him to hand me a nail file which I then spend 3-4 minutes fixing my own nails as he sits there and stares at me. We move on to him painting my nails - he paints two nails before he demands I pick another color. I ask him why - he signals the paint color is out. He removed the color he placed on the two nails with a dry paper towel and I pick a new color. He paints my nails and when I look at them it looks like I got them painted 2 weeks ago because he was no where close to the cuticle. I tell him this and request he paint a third coat which clearly irritated him. He finishes polishing my nails and they do not look good but at this point I want to get out of there. I go up front to pay for the service and I ask him to break down why it is the price it is when the pricing board says something completely different. I end up paying what they say and then explain to him why I will not be tipping him. Once he hears I am not leaving him a tip he then tries to grab a nail file and fix what I previously requested he fix. I tell him no thank you I will fix what I can at home and leave. I am not the kind of the person who causes a scene at a place of business (and still did not here) but I wanted to express what happened and why I will not ever go back to Be Nails. I know this gentleman who did my nails and all the other nail techs there work hard for their money but SO DO I and I do not like throwing away my money. If I am paying for a service then I expect to receive an adequate job which has not been the case when I visit Be Nails. I will never go back and will tell anyone who asks to avoid this place. read more

He told me $79. In a rush I signed my receipt and left. When I got home I checked my receipt and he charged me $80! I went for the first time on Dec 21, 2020. I had Sara and she was really good. She's quick, she's thorough, she's not rough like some nail techs I've had and she's really sweet but quiet :-). My nails looked exactly like I wanted them to look and they lasted a long time, despite how quickly my nails grow. It's now Jan 15, 2021 & they still aren't lifting (even though I need a fill-in bad lol). I will definitely be going back to Sara, hopefully today! Also, you can set appointments online with the nail tech of your choice, which I like. The only thing that I think they should do differently is, when they decline your appointment, send a message as to why (tech not there, shop closed, etc). I'm wondering how long this will last. As for the pedi - it was ok. Nice message. A bit streaky tbh. Won't return. For $80 (45 for dip and 35 for streaky toe polish) it's not worth it. Facility is nice and clean, but the communication barrier between my nail tech, Tom and I was exhausting, and for some reason he could not comprehend that my nails were not consistently shaped. I got tired of trying to show him so I just gave up trying. He looked like a deer in headlights when I tried to show him the discrepancies in my nails. I had to come home and reshape them and smooth the top of each nail. Really, Tom? Oh well, won't be back, so the search for another salon continues. read more

Wish I could give 0 stars, this place is beyond horrible. The entire time I was there the nail tech continued a very loud conversation on the phone while doing my manicure. After sitting with another tech to do my pedicure he and another staff member yelled across the salon in an ongoing conversation for 90% of my service. The nail techs here are not licensed, just family that will claim to be in training. I also heard screaming noises from the back that made me wonder was this a salon used for human trafficking, it is a very unsettling environment with extremely negative energy. Please be advised this shop will damage your nails and speak to you very disrespectfully. I will also be reporting this shop to state board for continual use of metal callous scrapers that is now illegal in the state of Michigan, I did bleed slightly and left with scrapes. For the past year this place has went down. They are extremely rude to customers and it has gotten ghetto. Especially the nail tech who is the female and sits to the right in front of the shop. I think her name is Tina. More than often I seen her get cussed out by several customers on several different occasions. Yesterday I called to the shop about 4 asked for an appointment for Brian. Tina said come in at 5:30pm I got there at 4:45pm. When I walked in the shop I told Tina I am here for the 5:30pm for Brian. Tina was upset and really frantic asking why am I here so early. I said I was in the neighborhood it's okay I will sit and wait. Brian took along time on the customer ahead of me so he saw me at 6:10pm instead of 5:30pm. I asked for my fake nails to be taken off, shellac to be replaced and polish change. He said "no I'm going to give you fill in cuz I don't have time to do a soak off and shellac. I got a 6:00pm and they are here now" In my head I'm thinking I am the customer paying my money. I should be able to chose what I want and if you didn't have time to do it you should have said that at 4:45pm when I walked in the door inside of having me sit and wait an hour and fifteen minutes. Plus my appointment was at 5:30pm but you took long with the other customer but I did not complain but now you want to push some crap on me that I don't want to rush me out the door. So I did not get loud nor ghetto I politely said, well I will just have someone else do it who has time and I started looking around the shop for a different nail tech. Brian got upset told me no I need to come back tomorrow and he will do it. I told him no I already sat here for an hour and fifteen minutes someone else will do my nails. He was upset and started talking in his native language to Tina. Than I asked Tina can she find one of the other nail techs who is available to do my nails. She said no and told me to come back tomorrow. I still didn't get loud nor ghetto. I walked up to one of the nail techs who was not busy to do my nails. He did them and did a good job. While the nail tech was doing my nails Tina walks up to me out the blue confrontational and say "I know your not talking about it and I'm coming to you but..." at that point I stopped her mid sentence and told her to please get away from me, stop talking to me and leave me alone while I'm getting my service" than she said okay but can you not make anymore appointments. I told her don't worry after this incident I won't be back. Tina walked away. Also Brian switches up the prices often and charges me more money every other time I come. The prices always change and get more expensive for the same service and they get more rude over time. They do mediocre nails I won't be back. read more
