However, given both our busy work schedules, we decided to spring for a planner to streamline the process. This was November 2019. With Jenny's help we were nearly done with planning our September 2020 wedding before the pandemic hit. Jenny made each step fun and efficient. I didn't have to research 40 photographers, email them to find out who was available, and then figure out if they were within our budget. Jenny did all that. Then, emailed us 3 excellent photographers within our budget and available on our date. She did the same for every component of our wedding. And created a design board to execute our vision and ensure all vendors were on the same page. She also made sure we had the best value for every tiny detail/aspect -- whether it was the napkins, dress alterations, florist, transportation, hair/make-up, or venue. True to form, all the vendors were prompt, fun, and professional. Without Jenny's wisdom, foresight, quick-thinking/response time, and organizational skills on our side -- we would not have been able to keep many of our vendors and get married in May 2021, despite our venue dropping us 2 months before the actual event as well as a host of other small disasters -- par for the course for most large events. Having an excellent wedding planner was the single best decision we made for our wedding. I am a Costco-shopper, and I love a good sale. But, what you don't know is a good wedding planner knows ALL the sales and inside tricks. They have every detail covered, and are 2 steps ahead. They are worth every penny. I have very high standards and Jenny exceeded all expectations. Our wedding was perfect, and very much stress free. I even took a specialty board exam 2 weeks before the date! We both are high strung individuals so having Nora there in the last month leading up to the big day was super helpful. We tend to leave things to the last minute but Nora stayed on us and made sure she got everything she needed from us. Nora attended our rehearsal and helped choreograph the ceremony. The day of the ceremony she coordinated with the DJ for all announcements and music cues. As a control freak myself, I wanted everything to be perfect. Because I didn't have to yell, scream, or even think on my big day, Nora MADE my day perfect. One of the other reviewers said they had the ceremony and reception in the same place and were worried about space. SAME HERE. I was ready to help move our rental furniture around in my wedding dress after the ceremony. I was worried I'd have to tell people "Alright we do! Now everyone pick up a chair and take it over to a table..." but no such thing happened. Nora coordinated the catering staff and her assistant/husband to get the ceremony broken down and dinner set up during cocktail hour while the bridal party took pictures. The biggest rave I have about Nora is that about a week before my wedding I sent her a three page email (single spaced) with every anxiety, fear, and wedding nightmare I've had in the past year and a half. It was definitely an unhinged email. Nora gave me the most valuable wedding gift I could have gotten then: Peace of Mind. She sent me a reply that both validated my feelings and helped me calm down a bit. If I ever need to plan another wedding or help a friend/sibling plan a wedding, I'm strongly recommending Nora's services. I just felt like I needed someone objective to keep me sane and help me with the little details. I met with the girls as they offered a "day of" package for a great price that was within my budget. It took about 5 minutes of hellos and small talk to know these ladies were THE BEST investment of my entire wedding! They reminded me of little details I forgot about and helped to handle those little details. I was immediately at ease and didn't worry about a thing from then on. They worked great with the on site coordinator and the day went as smoothly as it could have. If I started to think about something that may have been forgot, they just flashed me a smile to let me know they had already handled it. They were extremely professional but had fun as well because that is the only way I would have it! Even though it was a "day of" package, they took the time to meet with me a few times beforehand to go over things and offered to hold onto any decor I needed stored until the day. If i sent an email about something, they responded immediately. (And believe me, I sent quite a few emails haha). They truly were my little guardian angels that day and I can't thank them enough for all they did for me. I can say with 100% honesty that I had an absolute blast at my wedding and enjoyed every second of it and I truly believe that is because of Nora and Lorinda.

While the 18 months leading up to the wedding were marked by smooth communication and helpful guidance, the wedding day itself was marred by disorganization and a complete lack of coordination. The Breakdown: * Pre-Wedding: Love was attentive and helpful during the planning process, offering valuable insights and support. We met monthly in the beginning and twice a month as the wedding date got closer. Unfortunately, this positive experience did not translate to the actual wedding day. * Ceremony Disaster: Our ceremony started an hour late due to the late arrival of chairs. The vendor had their own internal issues but this was a direct result of Love failing to include setup in the contract, leaving the vendor understaffed. To make matters worse, guests received no guidance once doors were open, leading to confusion and a rushed entrance. The wedding party was also unable to sit. I instructed Love to reserve the first two rows for the wedding party so that they were seated during the ceremony rather than standing with the bride/groom. However that did not happen, which we had clearly communicated and rehearsed. Total confusion as they could not sit as rehearsed.  * Missing Items and Oversights: Throughout the day, we encountered a series of missing items and oversights: no lighter for the unity candle (had to ask someone from the audience for a lighter -- very embarrassing), no microphones for the ceremony (majority of the guests could not hear us), 15 missing uplights at the reception, chairs/place settings were missing from tables and guest were unable to sit, and even our bouquets were not readily available for photos. * Lack of Communication and Awareness: Love did not communicate with us that the chairs were late and ceremony time had shifted. I had to ask what was going on and why we had not begun, at this point we were 20 minutes past start time. Love demonstrated a concerning lack of awareness regarding the wedding day timeline. She started speeches during dinner service, creating a chaotic atmosphere with speeches competing with the clatter of dishes. * Poor Coordination and Execution: The reception "room flip" was handled poorly, with guests witnessing the transition instead of enjoying cocktail hour. Furthermore, meal cards were not placed at the bridal party table, causing confusion for the catering staff. The day was so chaotic that we forgot to do our welcome/thank you speech and Love did not even remind us.  * Unresponsive and Slow: Love was consistently difficult to locate the entire day and seemed to move at a slow pace, despite the numerous issues unfolding. She was missing the majority of the wedding but she did manage to get instagram content. A few of my guests were asking who/where is the planner. She was missing in action and when I initially voiced my concerns she was not apologetic at all.  * Lack of Leadership: Love was largely absent and unresponsive, and her team seemed completely unaware of the plans and timeline, despite prior discussions and rehearsals. In a post-wedding meeting, I expressed my dissatisfaction. To add insult to injury, Love offered a paltry $800 (only 10% of her total cost) refund in exchange for signing an NDA, preventing me from writing a review, which was a huge slap in the face. I politely declined as this is unacceptable considering the thousands of dollars spent on her services and the significant distress caused on what should have been a joyous occasion. While Love may excel at pre-wedding planning, her inability to execute on the actual day created a chaotic and disappointing experience. I urge other couples to seriously consider whether they are willing to risk a similar outcome despite the initial positive interactions. On one day that every woman dreams about, I was literally left in tears and filled with frustration. My dream wedding was literally robbed from me. While no wedding goes off unhitched with zero problems, no one should experience that many hiccups given the money and time that was spent. Also be aware as her instagram does not depict my disastrous wedding day. Granite the day was still beautiful and the pictures she has posted are gorgeous, thanks to our amazing photographer. But it should have been 100x better with the amount of money we put into it ($60K plus) and over a year of planning. She helped with every detail and was so caring during the event, most people thought she was a relative.
