Two years later and very glad this place is still here. The building is still an amazing piece of architecture with a great atmosphere. I did notice that there was a lot more pick up orders and the dining area was pretty empty. A few items I see were no longer on the menu and expect that was due to supply issues or current dining regulations. Staff was nice enough but it seems after a year of mostly take out that their personal skills may need to be refreshed. They were not rude or anything it just seemed like they had a lot less personality as my last visit. read more

Stopped for dinner and the location was pretty empty so able to be seated right away. We did have to flag the server over for everything - order, silverware, more drinks, etc. I don't expect to have people all over us, but the server never came over unless we flagged her over. I wanted to try the portobello burger. The mushroom was good fine, but I left off the ratatouille since I can't do peppers and I didn't want to risk getting something I could not eat. The kids had chicken tenders/fries and my oldest had steak tartar. The tenders were good and cooked well and my oldest loved the tartar. Location was close to where we were staying so it was easy. Burgers are apparently a hot item in Europe. Everywhere you go there are special dedicated burger restaurants, and we managed to avoid them until our last night in the area. Be Burger is a mere 5 minutes from Brussel airport, just outside Zaventem city centre.The restaurant is located in a cute old mill, and looks cozy on the inside. Menus are available in French and Dutch, only - so if you do not speak either language you have to ask the staff for assistance. The burgers are inspired by the travels of the owners, which is why some are made of chorizo, some are topped with a black olive tapenade and others are made with tuna, etc. The burger that comes closest to a "plain/normal" burger is the London; it comes with bacon, cheddar cheese and bbq sauce. I opted for the Brussels burger; topped with a beer-braised onion confit, pickles, mustard mayo and Belgian cheese. They say they cook the burgers medium, but they came out more well-done.. however, they were still very juicy and tasty, just no pink or red. Fries are a la carte, and since the burgers are quite large we shared one order of fries amongst the three of us- and still had some left uneaten when we finished our meals. read more

The renovated Mill is a Great Place, but the Burgers can't keep up with that. I had the Val Thorens Burger. The Pattie was made out of Black Angus Beef, but it was grilled to Death (Well Done). So it was dry. Putting tarragon in a Burger is a good idea, unfortunately this was all there is tastewiese. The fries never had seen any salt. And because of the little basket that they were served in, The fries cooled down quickly. As seen in the foto, the Burger was served in a little paper bag. It soaked the fluids from the Burger and little pieces of paper sticked to the Bun. Not the best way of serving it. Altogether it was overpriced for the food. read more

Hungry so I decided to have my lunch there. Little bit afraid, because a) I'm a difficult eater b) normal/standard meat is impossible for me I started with an Aperol Spritz (7 euro) and I ordered the Tokyo burger (asked to separate the bread from the burger - 17.50 euro) and a portion of fries (3.50 euro). It was delicious ! The coffee Machiato was also VERY good (3 euro). It's good. They apologized for not having English on their menu but that is not such an obstacle for a burger restaurant. The burger is good but the menu misses my rule about meat to bun to topping ratio. Five Guys! They have a burger and you choose the toppings. So many places try to create this "experience" around the toppings and fill the menu with 40 choices of clever names. I suppose that people get paid to think of these clever choices but I wish they would stop and find other gainful employment.... Overall I would come back. read more

Interesting variety in burgers, but they are a little heavy and greasy, the flavors are to much and far from subtle, which resulted in both my friend and I couldn't finish our burger. (This might be personal taste, it wasn't super bad) Unfortunately only 1 vegetarian burger and no vegan burger.. I expected a wider variety of beers, but they only serve mass production beers (most of the same brand). It would have been nice to discover a small brewery beer on the menu. Interior has a simple vintage look which fits the concept perfectly. Service is very nice and caring. Besides the negative points, I must say I'm glad to have a fresh initiative in the neighborhood, I hope they keep improving, so they could become really amazing! ;) read more

These burgers were huge and I'm American. But really they could easily feed two. A little pricey for the type of food but it is near a lot of hotels and the airport which probably contribute a bit. The building itself is cool, it's an old mill of sorts. read more

Super nice building and great location, very good interior design and spacious garden for times whenever the weather permits. Burgers are biiiiiiggg and wouldn't complain about the taste. Now the bad: waiting time 1 hr (!!!) for a single burger order! Place during the lunch time was semi busy, defenitely nothing to justify the delay. I have heard this is unfortunately common issue. Second the price. With soft drink and French fries (tiny ones) don't expect to pay less than 20€. If you get a single small burger, no drinks or fries it will still set you back 12-14€... The setting is beautiful, that is the only positive thing I can mention. We booked for 24 people, burger orders communicated day up front. Drinks were served plentiful. The starters were of poor quality and personnel apparently found it hard to serve for all 24 at the same time. We arrived at 18.30 and first burgers were served at 21.10. By the time the first person was finished eating, the last person was finally served. (and they did not get the same serving - i.e. fries & side salad - as the first person) My hamburger was undercooked and not warm anymore. The fries were greasy. We also had to ask for cutlery for the salad, which the waitress found surprising! When one of the waitress asked whether all was okay during clearing, my friend commented that we did have to wait a long time. The waitress's response was "well, you are a big group"! No apology, no recognition. Don't accept a large group, if you're incapable of serving them properly. The desserts were also disappointing. I will not be returning, not even with a smaller party. Surprising a "Top chef" has his name associated to this restaurant. read more

The other reviews don't do this place justice. While not the best beef burger I've ever had it was DAMN good. The chicken burger (Colombo) was the best non-beef burger I have ever had. It was flavorful and came with a side salad option if you are trying to escape frites for one meal while here. The restaurant itself is well done and the ambiance, with both indoor and terrace seating was quite lovely. The waiters were friendly and spoke English well. If you happen to end up near the airport I'd say this is a must eat! read more
