What a great burger place! Green mango has phenomenal customer service, which is not common in Brussels. The waiters were smiley, spoke English and French, and gave us a carafe of water when we asked for tap water. I had Le Green Mango burger with bacon, cheddar, pepper sauce and greens served with a huge side of fries. I also got the Copacabana smoothie with ginger and açai among other things (it's a tall glass), and it was as good as the burger. The burgers, fries, smoothie and complimentary olives are a lot for one person. So unless you wanna leave the restaurant feeling like you ate too much, i would suggest splitting it with a friend if you can. I definitely wanna go back and try all of their other healthy smoothies.

We went there on a Saturday, not knowing how fully booked the restaurant already was. Luckily, they still had space. I decided to have the BBQ chicken burger and it was really good! The bun was not soft but 'crunchy' (een hard broodje), the fries were really good and crispy and the chicken hamburger was also very tasty. I had a bite of a beef burger of my bf but I wasn't that impressed. However, I would definitely come back and try a whole beef burger. Service was friendly and they seemed to speak both English and French and a bit of Dutch. I also liked the the fact that the space while seated in the restaurant is quite spacious if you have a table for two. In contrast with other restaurants in the Flagey/St Boniface area where you often hear the entire conversation of your neighbors.

If you have seen my reviews i am detailed and travel alot and enjoy trying different burger places. So this place has been on my radar for some time. First i would start with the people were friendly there. I didnt like that we could not sit where we wanted specially when it wasnt that busy there. I am a tall man and wanted to sit in soft chairs but instead had to sit in high wooden chairs but ok i came for a burger. So, first i noticed there menu was colorful and the prices were pretty low compared to other burger places. Many nice looking cocktails and other drinks. I also wanted to know where there beef was from so i ask and its local Belgium beef. I also ask about the bun because i noticed in pictures that there were brown buns but apparently that was correct so I question some of these yelp reviews and pics. Next, question was about there fish burger only because my girlfriend was trying to decide between the fish sandwich and chicken. I was told the fish was not fresh but frozen so that was a big no for her and she decided to go with the chicken burger. I decided to go with there signature burger called the green mango, which had bacon, cheddar cheese, onions sauté/crunchy, fried egg, lettuce and tomato and there special sauce but ask for that on the side. So, the burger was presented well the bacon was real american style. The bun was ok for me to crunchy. The burger was cooked well i assume thats how they prepare it since they never ask us how we wanted it. I am not sure if beef was fresh. Over all it was a ok burger nothing special. The meal does come with potato wedges which is there specialty but for me they had no flavor/seasoning. But again for the price it was one of the cheapest burgers with fries. My girlfriend said her chicken burger was ok but nothing special. And her smoothie drink was good but warm not cold like a traditional smoothie but had great taste.

Fantasic place!! I would say these are the best burgers in Belgium. Hands down. The staff is super friendly, the place looks awesome and is located in an area full of other bars and terraces. Also, for the quality of the burgers, I believe the prices are more than fair. The picture is of a "Mega Triple Cheese" burger. Comes with fries (which taste amazing, by the way) and a free sauce (in my case, mayonnaise a la truffe) Enjoy!

    Le FAT BOY yummy!

But most importantly I root for a concept, a mission that makes it stand out. Now G. Spud has it all and it's impossible not to notice. To sum it up: Géraldine et Gaëtan (that what G. stands for) are living a dream of reinventing the potato (engl. for potato) or in their words: "make it's image more sexy" (pardon my poor translation into French) and provide the busy Brussels lunch crowd (location! location! location!). am told the place is very popular during the lunch time, you have to wait to get your fair share with a healthy and gluten free (sic!) options combined either with fish, meat or other vegetables. Neither of them exceeding €10 in addition to very generously sized portions. I tried the Tuna Spud and could barely finished it, although I was quite hungry. Now baked potato as I know it from Germany, is a huge bulb cut in the middle and topped with A LOT OF yogurt sauce and, if you are lucky, some salad and mushrooms. At G.Spud you not only get a nice compilation of fresh produce regional produce and funky dressings! It's also planed (so we were told) to introduce a different sort of potato every month, like local bars do with their choice of beers. To challenge our taste and expand our knowledge. Chapeau! While queuing up, pay attention at the way the spud is prepared and cut, even that is a part of the ultimate G.Spud experience. I really enjoyed every detail of the interior, especially how much attention was dedicated to the lighting and creating this breathy, sunlit, summery atmosphere. The team behind G.Spud (and behind the counter) is incredibly warm-hearted and welcoming, far-far above the Brussels standards. Now, although the ugly siblings Fries and Chips have totally ruined the potato family's reputation, the sexy Spud has all the chances of becoming the new sexy kid on the block. I wish the place would be opened after 5pm as I work pretty far away from Rue Jourdan. Well, it leaves me with Saturdays then. P.S. You can pick your Spud as a take-away, however the team is currently working on its packaging to find an ultimate transporting solution for their lovely spuds! Can't wait to be able order.

I went with the ham option, which included the following: --Coffee - I upgraded to a cappuccino, and it was excellent --Orange juice - Seemed to be freshly squeezed, another plus! --Basket of pastries - Truly awful croissant and pain au chocolat. These were probably the worst pastries I've had since I moved to Brussels. They were dry, bready, and bland, and they would have done better if they'd excluded them completely or gotten pastries from the grocery store. --Yogurt with honey - fine --Ham - fine --Cheese - fine --Bread and butter - fine --Boiled Egg - Perfectly hard boiled. As good as a plain boiled egg can get. So all in all, the brunch consisted of an excessive amount of mediocre, pre-prepared foods that are merely assembled in the restaurant. One brunch plate was easily enough to serve two people. I saw some salads at other tables, and they were easily large enough to feed 3-4 people. I would definitely come back for coffee, but I certainly would not return for a meal here.

I loved the burger and the accompanying fries, and even the side salad was good. Across our table, we must have gotten every dish on the brunch menu, and everyone was extremely happy with their food. The ingredients tasted very fresh, and the chef made some interesting and unexpected flavor combinations. So why only three stars? This place had the most horrendously rude service I've ever experienced in Brussels, and that's a high bar. We were yelled at collectively as a group, because we ended up having three extra people show up. Organizing big group events is hard enough without a server yelling at you, and they seemed very upset to have the extra business of three people. Several of us were yelled at separately, me for being in the server's way while waiting in line to pay, another for asking the status of the coffee she'd been waiting 20 minutes for, and several others for various things that should not have been issues at all. There were a few cases where the servers mixed up the orders or brought out dishes nobody had ordered, and they got mad at our table for that as well. Despite the inexcusable service, I would still consider going back, either by myself or maybe with one other person, in hopes that we would get better treatment. The food was that good.
