She is honest about what will best suit your face and won't let you walk out of her office looking crazy. She's also great at working with my needs combined with my budget and will recommend the best products/procedures for my desired results. I've recently been using fillers on my cheeks and I feel so pretty. A slight lift on my cheeks gave my jawline some definition, who knew! Aetna Insurance denied several of the tests you ordered, because it turns out that they are not routine preventive care. The way your office has handled this billing debacle is, quite frankly, unacceptable. Not once in trying to get this situation corrected did I feel supported by your office, encouraged by your staff, or secure in your ability to do what needed to be done. I should not feel any of these things, or have any of these doubts, when it comes to an organization I have entrusted with my healthcare. It is not my job to be at war over billing. It is not my job to know more about preventive CPT codes than my primary care physician. And it certainly is NOT my job to pay almost $200.00 for a yearly physical, with health insurance that I also pay for. Yesterday, I had a representative from Aetna literally ON THE LINE with Paula at your office. The representative told her exactly what needed to be done to appeal the denial of the test you ordered (the test ordered is NOT covered for women under the age of 34) and to get it covered. I wrote it down: Submit a formal appeal to the insurance with a letter of medical necessity, following clinical guidelines. When you called me personally, today, to let me know it had all been taken care of, I hate to say it but I knew better. What did you send, according to Aetna? A simple letter stating that the test you ordered--that is NOT covered--is a normal test that "should be covered" for a girl my age. This is NOT what we discussed. Specifically, NOT what the Aetna representative instructed your office to do. I am still trying to work through this situation and have been dealing with it since March. I have been your patient since age 9. Bottom line: you ordered the wrong test, therefore it's your responsibility to appeal, according to the insurance. I refuse to debate you. I am currently shopping for a new PCP and would recommend you run far away from Dr. Mian.
