I would recommend Clever Inspections to my relatives and best friends. I am sure you will be satisfied with the service. I compared prices with three other providers and Clever Inspections, though not the lowest, provided the most thorough estimate and they more than lived up to their promise. He showed up as scheduled and without wasting any time, he went straight to work. He used this handheld machine and tested different random painted areas. There was no moving of furniture needed on my part, or at least he did not ask me to. It was done just about the length of time he had advised me of. I received the paperwork and the report afterward via email. It was very detail and exactly what I needed. He was easy to work with. I found him to be both knowledgeable, thorough and professional. His fee seemed reasonable which was of similar rate as other contractors I had talked to before. I would certainly recommend him for the lead paint inspection. Charles has been phenomenal in helping us decide if a house we are considering buying is safe for our health issues (and, if not, what we can do to make it safe. the tests aren't all back yet!). Tho he had to travel quite a way, his inspection was meticulous and beyond thorough. He spent nearly 8 hours going into every nook and cranny. He knows where to look, how to ensure the home is safe including the furnace and HVAC system. He was also very careful with making sure we would not overspend on unnecessary tests which we appreciate (altho we went for some more expensive ones at the get go anyway). And then after that full day, he hustled to make fedex to ensure the tests would be evaluated in a safe and expeditious timeline and THEN dropped off the cultures to the lab in person. Further, bc of the purchase timeline, he rescheduled other clients to be able to assess our house so we could get all tests back within our inspection timeline. He is also very well versed on newer technologies and proper remediation techniques for air handling and venting systems. Highly, highly ,highly recommend!

They listened to my concerns about the toxic mold growth on my walls following a water leak, and came out the next morning to do air and surface sample testing. The next day they had lab results and emailed me detailed PDFs with the lab report and their recommendation protocol for mold remediation. Ryan also called me to talk through their findings. Powers Environmental LLC is third-party and independent, so hiring them prevented a conflict of interest with the mold remediation company. My situation was particularly complicated, because I wound up having problems with one remediation company and switched to another, and everything had to involve the property managers. There was a lot of disagreement between the property managers and me, and Powers Environmental LLC went above and beyond in helping explain the dangerous mold situation and remediation process to the property management company. It was a multi tiered process, and I felt so protected knowing that Powers environmental 100% had my health and safety as their sole priority. I watched Ryan work when he came for the clearance testing, and I appreciate his methodical and detail oriented approach. I wish everyone was as conscientious about testing and following biosecurity as this company is. Bill and Ryan always replied to my messages within an hour or less and were very patient with my many questions. I give this company my highest praise, respect, and recommendation.

I would like to begin my review by sharing that this is the second time we have hired Abe Kurek as…read moreour home inspector. I left a glowing review during 2023. You can look it up under my name, Mary Savva. Although we decided against buying the home in 2023, we decided we would absolutely and unwaveringly use Abe as our inspector the next time. Fast forward 3 years later, we recently used Abe in June 2026. We had the pleasure of meeting his son Nick during our 2nd inspection. I really can't say enough about Abe. I find it difficult to top my 2023 review because it was so good. During our second experience with Abe, we had a different realtor. All I have to say is Abe is on your side. The jingle, "Nationwide is on your side" should be Abe's theme song except it would be, "Abe is on your side." I hate to sound cheesy, but when you are a first-time homebuyer, it's hard to relax and trust the process. Abe makes it easier to do that simply because he is loyal to you and only you. It's a huge relief to have someone with so much experience under their belt in your corner. It's also a relief to know you can have the same confidence in his son Nick. When you hire Abe, the relationship doesn't end with the home inspection. He fully prepares you to become a homeowner. He provides lists of referrals and lots of other useful information on his website such as what to look for during the final walk through. He assures you that you can reach out to him at any time- pre and post purchase. You feel like you are more than just a customer, you are now part of a family. Of course, the candy filled goody bag made especially for you helps a lot too during the inspection! Abe and Nick check every nook and cranny (crawlspaces, roofs, attics) They arrived on time and spent over 3 hours combing through the property. Abe uses his drone to check the roof. He even has a "back-up drone" just in case his high-tech drone fails for whatever reason. He is fully prepared for your inspection. He is able to explain complex issues clearly in layman's terms, or in our case, "first time home buyers" terms. He patiently answered our questions. His home inspection report is concise and easy to understand. This cannot be overstated. It includes a "Table of Contents" which makes everything easy to find. The report does not lack detail. It is well organized with very clear pictures. This helped us to negotiate repairs and buy in confidence. One of my best friends is currently house hunting. Her husband is a surgeon. She is worried that he might not be able to attend the home inspection. I immediately referred her to Abe and assured her that she would be in good hands. I explained she would have nothing to worry about if her husband could not attend. I highly recommend Abe & Nick Kurek to anyone buying a home in the area. They are professional, responsive and worth every penny! 5/5 stars.

But…read moreafter one phone call to Abe, I was pretty set and confident on Abe's Home Inspection Services. Over the phone, he was able to answer all of my queries and gave me a quick run-down of all the different services they provide and an accurate quote for an inspection on the house. He was also able to answer all of my "what-if" questions and ease my nerves by giving me a step-by-step on what to expect. Although my window for inspection was only 7 days, he was also able to squeeze me in for an inspection and got me my report within 3 days! I'm super grateful for that. On the day of the inspection, Abe and Nick let me join in on the process and even encouraged me to take my own notes. Every step of the way was a learning process for me and I gained a ton of new knowledge on structural info, safety, energy saving tips and more on the house. Abe gave me a packet and some goodie bags. The retractable tape measure with sticky notes and pen is really cool. He also put in some candy if you're feeling peckish, some hand sanitizer, flashlight and bandaids--all super useful stuff. Folder includes info packets, and even a final walk through checklist. He'd really thought of everything. Overall, I highly recommend Abe. His inspection gave me valuable insight on the house, and most importantly I gained a peace of mind. It's definitely worth the price!
