Look for this sign along the highway!
    Maria R.

The last time we were headed home from Vancouver, we stopped for a bathroom break just up the road from the BCB Honey Farm. As we made our way back to the highway, we saw the sign and decided to stop. BEST. DECISION. EVER. Inside a tiny, impeccable cabin-esque storefront there stood a spritely older gentleman framed by posters and literature about raw honey. On a bench next to the window: a napping Pomeranian who happily awoke to flop over for stomach rubs. Everything inside was polished wood and immaculately clean and reminded me of the Pooh honey ride at Tokyo Disney. We were the only ones there, and it seemed as if we had stepped into a magically fairy land of honey. What had this man been doing before we came in? Did he exist before that? Did the dog?! One thing's for sure: we came away with the most delicious, unpasteurized, unprocessed raw honey I've ever had in my life. The man behind the counter was happy to talk to us about all things honey. His passion for the product and his knowledge were exemplary. (For instance, did you know that real royal jelly is virtually impossible to find and extremely expensive if you do? And it also means the queen had to be killed for the real thing, so don't buy it.) If you're in the neighborhood- or anywhere NEAR the neighborhood- and you need honey, stop here. You won't regret it. Pro tip: A stop here also saves you $60 in shipping to Washington! Even though they have an online store, the shipping is more expensive than stopping here on the way home after a lovely weekend in Canada.

The blueberries were huge and semi sweet. We were there for 20 mins and was able to fill $14 worth of blueberries. Before we go, we also bought $21 for 3 flats worth of blueberries home. The farm bought berries were sweet but way smaller than U-Pick. This is a much smaller farm than the once we have been before. No ice cream place or kids play area. They only have a farm market and farms. Overall, we had a great time. The kids were so happy to see huge blueberries.

These are seriously the best blueberries I've had all summer (I love blueberries and have been eating them weekly and have gotten some from farms in Richmond as well). They were huge and very sweet. I will most definitely be back to get more! I agree with previous reviews about customer service. They aren't the friendliest there and the woman working the cashier till was pretty standoffish. However, I can put up with it as the blueberries are that good.

This place is huge! You enter in the 1st produce area. On the right is all your pastas, salsas, pickles, dairy, non dairy, and everything in between. On the left is breads, meats, more produce, treats, and tons of local products (soups, Perogies, candies, etc.). Prices are very reasonable and they have amazing options specials. Currently, if you spend $25, you get a free bag of potatoes. Service is wonderful. They make it really easy to come back. Children carts (that are cleaned frequently), and plenty of hand sanitizers scattered around the store. Plenty of parking too. My favourite thing about this place is how wonderful they treat the little ones. Its Easter and they hid eggs around the store and had treats/prizes. Its very friendly focused! Thank you!

On May 4, 2019 the Canadian Food Inspection Agency issued a food recall warning for the GPM brand of pea shoots sold at this store, which were recalled due to listeria monocytogenes. The same day, after being alerted to the recall, I brought two packages of pea shoots that I'd purchased a few days prior back to the store for a refund. The refund was refused by both the cashier and the manager because I no longer had a receipt. I have had to return recalled food items several times before to different stores, and have always been provided with a full refund whether or not I had a receipt. This is standard retail protocol when the Canadian Food Inspection Agency reports foodborne illness associated with a product. Of course virtually every store these days will give you your money back with a receipt. But stores that value your business and are keen to keep you coming back as a customer will give you your money back if you return the product without one, especially when the product may contain gram-positive bacterium that causes severe illness and mortality rates. If the manager of this store had offered a smile and a refund, it would have cost them six dollars, the price of two packages of pea shoots. Instead, they have not only lost a loyal long-term customer who spent thousands of dollars per year in their store, but they have also lost the business of my entire family and four of my friends, all of whom were regular customers but have now also decided to no longer shop there after hearing about my experience. The lack of customer service is inexcusable and the customer care is reprehensible.
