Still waiting after 4.5 hours , no messages, had to call their number over again but they just put you on hold indefinitely. Their AI does not understand the simplest request even if you use the exact same words as the AI??? This is insane, use to be good, now just terrible. Thinking of trying a new program which is a shame been with them for over 20 years. I would give no stars if I could read more

Worst service ever experience with BCAA service today. We called them at 12 noon and it's after 5 pm and we are still sitting here waiting after numerous calls. THEY SENT THE WRONG TRUCK AT 5 PM Now we continue to wait for Cloverdale Towing the second contractor. Its been over 1 hour since they were dispatched. Will this towing nightmare ever end! When this experience is over I will cancel BCAA and after 17 years as a customer say goodbye to them for ever!! Definitely don't use them. Find an alternative company as we will now. BCAA YOU SUCK BIG TIME!!!!! TELL EVERYONE about this experience so they don't buy BCAA coverage. read more

Extremely Disappointed - Poor Communication and Unprofessional Service On Monday, March 24th, I had an incredibly frustrating and time-wasting experience with BCAA and their contracted towing service, Aria Towing. I contacted BCAA to arrange a tow for our 2012 Mazda 3 to the Wolfe Mazda dealership in Langley at 8:37 AM and was told the driver had received the call by 9:03 AM with an estimated arrival time of 10:03 AM. I left work early to be home by 9:30 AM, only to sit around and wait... and wait. I called BCAA at 10:34 AM to check in and was repeatedly told the driver was "30 minutes out." That same excuse was given MULTIPLE times throughout the day. I had to call again at 11:23 AM, where I was told there was a delay but the truck would arrive around 12 PM. That came and went. Another call at 12:04 PM and I was told it would now be 1 PM. Still, no show. After calling again at 1:11 PM and 1:22 PM, I was told yet again to wait another 30 minutes. The driver finally showed up at 1:45 PM, nearly four hours after the original ETA. Not only was this a huge waste of my time, but my father also had to spend much of his day monitoring and managing the situation. To make matters worse, the driver was rude, unapologetic, and unprofessional. Despite it being clearly communicated that the car needed to go to the Wolfe Mazda dealership in Langley, the driver diverted to another job instead of going straight there. This was never agreed upon and completely unacceptable. For a service that prides itself on reliability and peace of mind, this experience was anything but. Poor communication, endless delays, lack of accountability, and outright rudeness from the tow truck driver made this an exhausting and disappointing ordeal. If I could give them negative stars I would. Would not recommend it based on this experience. read more

We purchased travel insurance through BCAA. My husband severely hurt his back and was unable to fly back on our scheduled return date. (He can't stand/sit) We wasted hours and hours calling being sent back and forward between BCAA and Gobal Excel. Each agent seems to know absolutely nothing, despite everything being under 1 claim number. In an email we shared his CT scan results as well as a form from a physician that states he's unfit to fly. We were told by an agent on the phone we'd have an automatic extension of our insurance, only to get an email two days afterwards that they consider my husband fit to fly. So right now we're still stuck abroad, uninsured and left with zero answers. We'll NEVER use this company again. read more

Shout out to Jaxon for his prompt service and knowledge! Thanks a lot for making a potentially bad situation better!! Shelley L :)

Came to their office at 5:15pm to do a vehicle transfer. The hours on the door said they closed at 5:30pm. Was told they could not help me because the transaction would take more time, running past 5:30pm. Whatever happened to customer service? I've been a BCAA customer for more than 25 years with two of their products, and I am turned away?!? I am not impressed. read more

I have always been a huge fan of the Auto Club, both in Canada and the US. They have always fulfilled what they promise. It is an incredible deal to be a member, even if it is only for peace of mind. I have my auto, home and travel insurance with them. I recently needed to submit a claim after a medical incident while on vacation. The chats I had to determine the process and to ask questions were very helpful. The process to enter the information on-line was easy and quick. Less than two weeks later I had the outcome and my costs were covered. A happy (continuing) customer! Great job! read more

I have been a member since 1984. I have my home insurance and always get my car insurance through BCCA. I go out of my way to drive to the Canada Way location to receive the personalized service I have come to expect. Well not today, I went to renew my auto insurance and had questions I was looking to get answered. I went in and was told (by the ?only employee) that they were short staffed, no walk-ins would be accepted. What has happened to BCAA? Where have all the staff gone? This will be my first time that BCAA fell very short. Yes, things are changing everywhere, but this was such a disappointing encounter. Never have I left the BCAA building not feeling good, like they cared and that I was valued. Not today.... read more

I want to compliment on your drivers/service men with BCAA. Don who helped me out last month is very friendly, fast, efficient. Give the gentleman a raise thank you and my compliments. read more

I bought a vehicle and needed to complete the transfer paperwork and buy car insurance. I was told nobody was available to complete the transfer papers but they could get my insurance? So we went up the street to Metrotown where we had this done immediately without an appointment. The same week I needed to renew car insurance for another vehicle . The Kerrisdale location apparently didn have anyone in their office at the time that could do this for me? Both times I was asked if I had an appointment. This doesn't seem to be required at other insurance providers? i was able to walk right in and received assistance right away elsewhere. read more

BCAA had to rescue me and my car yesterday. Over the years I've had to call on them to help me out a few times. Each time I received amazing service. The guys are always friendly and very helpful. They gave me great tips on how to keep my car up and running well to avoid costly (yet simple) trips to the dealership. Last night was no different. The guy went above and beyond to make sure I got my car home safely. Then while checking out the engine etc he noticed that my driver side door was squeaky so he sprayed it with some sort of lubricant to get rid of the noise. It made a long day more bearable. Thank you BCAA!! read more

What a great service, these guys bailed me out with quick and extremely professional service with my flat tire the other day. The tech, John, is first class! He was thorough, polite, calm, knowledgeable. Turned out I wasn't a member, my wife and 7 year old are, so I had to join on the spot for $26, what a deal! read more

I have to agree that BCAA shines at roadside assistance but I do have complaints about their business and home insurance. This is a new venture for them and they need way more training. At this point in time, it is not an Insurance company I could recommend. Trust me they will botch your policy. Yes they parade all the cues to get your business but in the end they cannot deliver the services of even the smallest Insurance firm After wasting your time. Give them a few years to learn the business. read more

Recently I had the pleasure of Gabrielle Gendron answering my phone call regarding travel insurance. I hadn't bought such insurance for years so I needed a refresher course. I'm not a spring-thinking-chicken anymore either, so I required someone who was patient to explain aspects of the insurance in sometimes three different ways. I needed someone who was capable of articulately conveying her knowledge to gently educate me in what everything meant. Gabrielle was indeed the perfect advisor. Cheerful. Bright. Warm. Funny. Knowledgeable. Friendly. Patient. I hope BCAA knows they have a very valuable staff member in Gabrielle, and that she is indeed a major asset to BCAA. It would be in BCAA's best interest to keep Gabrielle on staff for as long as possible. Thanks to BCAA for providing a very favourable experience while buying travel insurance. read more

11/100 wanted to review BCAA because I have been using them for 2 years. I am a new driver and having BCAA is like having a friend with a tow truck. I have never had to wait more than 30-60 minutes. The drivers are always friendly and professional. I never worry when I am on the road because I know I have BCAA. This is one of the wisest purchases you can make for you and your car. read more

Waited a long time on the call as on their site it said I need to speak with an agent to get a quote on landlord home insurance, left my number to receive a call back. Received an automated callback after 45 min that put me on another 10 min hold, couldn't stay on hold so I dropped off. I called in again after and left my phone number for another call back. A real agent called back this time after 30min, sounded pleasant, I told her I am looking to get a quote for a landlord insurance. She then asked me if I have my primary home insurance with BCAA. I said I do not at this time and right away she was like then sorry we can't give you a quote for landlord insurance and try to hang up on me. I had to catch her and asked if I can then also get a quote for my primary home insurance because if the the quotes is good then I'd consider switching to BCAA. Instead of listening to what I had to say and potentially get me to switch my existing insurance to BCAA and also get my landlord insurance, she cuts me off with "have a good day" and just hung up on me. The agent's name is Victoria. Rude and extremely unprofessional. read more

Seriously recommended if you are restoring a project car and taking it out for a test and tune. They've saved me twice in a year and I've never had to wait more than an hour. I talked to one of the drivers and they were ex mechanics! As Bridget mentioned, it's exactly like having a friend with a tow truck. I'd seriously recommend buying this service if you drive an older car. Even the basic membership is really cheap insurance against needing a tow! read more

BCAA Road side service is outstanding. But, I have had major issues with the insurance side of the business. I requested a quote on my house insurance. They had me do a bunch of work and then never got back to me with the quote or any explanation of what happened. Recently I renewed my travel insurance. I had a bunch of issues that included them again not getting back to me and a major increase in my premiums They are great at Road Side service but, are not in the insurance business. read more

I visit the Burnaby (Canada Way) location regularly and have recently renewed both my auto policies as well as my strata and condo policies with their team. I find their rates competitive and service excellent in all of my recent visits. On my last auto renewal, BCAA's coverage saved me over $150 vs. ICBC's optional coverage an the agent took the time to explain the differences in the two coverages to help me make an informed decision (BCAA's was better in every respect!). read more

I have had a membership for 10 years and have at least needed them once every year for various situations and they have always pulled through. If you're a member the rates are very reasonable and the service has always been friendly, especially in a stressful situation. I find that sometimes the guys know more than the mechanics themselves. Thanks for 10 years of consistent service in tough situations. read more

Locked keys and phone in car. 10 minutes to arrive after call and two minutes to unlock!

I've been a BCAA member for a long time now and I'm always very pleased with their service and the caliber of the people who man their roadside fleet. Today I received stellar service from carrier driver Dominic who pulled my old wreck onto his flat deck carrier in a very tight space and carted us off to a service provider. At the shop he rolled the van off his rig and popped it right into the shop bay. Slick! The alternator was dead confirming his diagnosis. I was back on the road in an hour and a half. If you're going to have a show stopping car problem you can only hope you can resolve it this easily. These guys saved my ass again making my membership worth every penny. read more

I went to Park Royal branch back in April 2014 and I wanted to get the course of construction insurance for my residential house which has been insured by BCAA for 8 years and I was intending to go back and live in it.After I talked to the agent I was promised back in April I would get the course of construction insurance and she looked at my plan and said I was qualified. She said after demolishing the house I have to notify them and the actual coverage starts when the pouring concrete is finished and the framing starts so the actual structure of the house can be seen. In October 2014 after demolishing the house I went to the Park Royal branch and talked to the same agent and said that my house had been demolished. She said it was still early and I had to come back when the basement framing is ready to start. My project stopped for a while due to weather conditions. In Jan when I went back to the branch to let them know that I the house is ready to be insured they said the agent was not working there any more , they had to stop the insurance and I was not eligible for the construction insurance because the construction has already started. They said that the agent left a note that i went to the branch and I was aware of as soon as the construction started I had to notify them. When I complained to the manager he said there was nothing he could do and I had to buy insurance from private companies and gave me a company name.I complained to the head office and mentioned my case is urgent due to the fact that I didn't have insurance in the middle of construction. After 48 hours someone called me and after listening to my story he said he would help me to have my insurance .He started interrogating me about my house and my intention to live in it after construction is finished. He asked me to get the photo and sent it to them and after so many time calling back and forth he said he would go ahead and help me with the coverage. He got all the information for the house and in the end it was the lase minutes of the business time of Friday he said that the value of the house was higher than their policy and he couldn't give me coverage. If they told me in the beginning without deceiving me I could have bought the insurance from other companies and because it was my residential house it would be half price of what I have to pay now if any company would give my construction insurance at this stage.Their agent was negligent and misleading and I feel being deceived and fooled around.Nobody in the company took responsibility of what they did to me and they easily kept my hopes up and left me in the middle of nowhere and walked away saying that if I had complains I could go to higher management.I don't think they would be any different. read more
