I have to say that this is indeed a FUN, CASUAL JOINT. The food is always great and the service is superb. I had a smoking hot waitress who did a great job making my visit the best possible. I've always been able to find ample seating here. The servers are nice and relatively attentive. The food is OK. The wings are bigger and meatier than your average place but not always evenly sauced. I came here last night with a couple of friends around 9:20. We sat down and our waitress was at our table with-in 2 minutes to greet us and get us drinks. She was a nice woman but never officially introduced her name. I feel like it's not my responsibility to ask. All 4 of us ( myself and my friends) ordered boneless wings. First off, it took our food 40 minutes to come out. I don't know whether that was the kitchen or our waitress. When the food came out I was underwhelmed. My wings were frankly dry and gross. It didn't look like there was sauce on it but I could taste it. I bit into my wing and I could tell its low quality meat. I still tipped my waitress well because I've worked at a restaurant before. My two daughters and I stopped in for a quick dinner before going to the Springdale Deluxe Cinema next door. The greeters stand was unattended, so we straightened out a table and seated ourselves. We were intrigued by the fact that two of the three menus at our table had been pen and ink vandalized with rather obscene pictures and graffiti, but I understand that this is not something the restaurant has a great amount of control over on any given day. What they do have control over is the unfriendly, off putting and inappropriate waitress that ended up serving us. Although my daughters are both obviously underage teenagers, and I was the only adult, she started off by reciting the days "specials". One was a "bucket of beer special", the other was a "pitcher of beer and wings" special. While I am far from being a teetotaler, I was stunned to be offered enough beer to get drunk on, as I was obviously the only adult in the group. She then proceeded to cut us off when we spoke, and glare at us when we asked questions. We finally ordered. Coke products for my daughters, a nasty look for me (I only wanted water). We got the "Dumpster Fries", "Rooster Feathers", a marinated chicken sandwich, a chicken parmesan sandwich and a burger. The Dumpster fries were just curly fries with cheese, tomatoes, jalapenos, bacon and green onions. These came with "Dumpster" sauce for dipping. Sauce - OK, fries - nothing special. The "Rooster Onion Feather" onion petals were excellent. They were perfectly cooked, with a nice horseradish dipping sauce. My daughter liked her parmesan chicken sandwich; although she said it was ordinary. Fast food sauce, fast food breaded chicken, a little cheese and a pickle spear, but done well. My other daughter also liked her chicken. It was nothing more than a piece of grilled chicken, a bun, a piece of lettuce and a couple of tomato slices. Not even a pickle spear on this one. Both sandwiches were pretty small and served open face in a basket that kind of swallowed up the lone sandwich. Considering they were almost $6.00 each, they were of minimal value. The burger was better than I would have expected. It was char grilled and pretty darn tasty. Value wise, it was OK. A meal of the burger and onion petals wouldn't be too bad. The disturbingly haughty blonde waitress we had made a so-so experience a pretty poor one. My daughters both jokingly asked if we could sit in "The nice waitresses section". The other waitress was smiling, joking and really enjoying her patrons. Regardless of the restaurant policy, it is a bad idea to offer a five-pack or pitcher of beer to a "lone" adult patron. This isn't a "stay for three hours and watch the game" kind of place. Based upon the customer service, I don't believe I will be returning here, wouldn't bring someone here, nor would I recommend coming here. This sounds pretty harsh, but it was one of the more uncomfortable staff experiences I have ever had, anywhere. read more

Official review from my almost 10 year old... Rooster's has the most kickin' chicken wings in town. 'Gladiator' sized drums... And I have to agree. If you are looking for a casual place to grab a pitcher of cheap beer and some good fried chicken slathered in tasty sauce, then head to Roosters. TV's a-plenty.. so good place to see the game as well, and the service is always friendly. Of course, if you are want something other than chicken... well... bring it with you. Meh. That's the best way to describe this place. We went, I got boneless wings, fiancé got traditional.. I personally thought there wasn't enough sauce on the wings. And the sauce was very oily. Also, the fries come separately? So you have to pay extra, they were unseasoned as well, no salt either. People seem to like it, I don't see the appeal. read more

I'm going to give this place two reviews-one for service and another for food. Let's start with the positive one-food. I have always liked this place's food. I had a ceasar salad with grilled chicken and 4 grilled chicken tenders and the food was good-real good and healthy for bar food. The portions are big, the food is served hot and unlike some of the other reviews we got our food fairly quick. I have been coming to this place for a long time and have yet to have a bad meal-which says a lot about bar food. Now the downside. The place was packed last night and while I was waiting at my table for my guest, some kid asked to have a TV changed so he could watch his hockey game. The waitress tried to change it and couldn't get it done so the manager changed it-but failed to take into account the four tables that were watching the show he just changed! When one of the guys at a table complained, the manager said "well he wanted it changed to watch his show" totally ignoring the 4 tables that were watching the TV. That guy got pissed, stood up and tried to grab the channel changer from the manager. Now this may seem petty, but if your at a sports bar watching your team play, your food just arrived and the TV is changed on you-your pretty pissed. That's what happened. I will admit I jumped on over the manager (verbally) and his excuse for changing the channel was lame-but he did change it back. He never apologized to me or any of the other patrons. If fact, we never saw him again. I think he hid in the kitchen. It didn't end there though. This little pudgy waitress named Katie B wanted to run her mouth to me and others about how this wasn't a big deal, were adults, its only a TV show ya ya ya. What she forgot was the basic rule of service-the customer is always right. And if she would have asked the 4 tables she was serving what they were watching on the TV's-this would have never happened. So while little (big?) Katie B wanted to act like she was some kind of important-she ultimately was responsible for the problem. The kid who wanted to watch his hockey game had his choice of 25 other TV's in the place. And he didn't stay very long. I felt bad for the guy who objected to the TV channel being changed and I have been there before (Hooters-Tampa, for the Bengals game). The guy was pissed, his dinner ruined and he wanted to go home. Against his objection, I bought his dinner for him-his bill was $49.42 and I tipped chubby little Katie B 20% so she could scratch her head trying to figure that one out. I then tipped my waitress 40% because "Sommara" was really good and she got caught in the crossfire in a situation out of her control. I left the incident at the door when I walked out. The moral of the post is this. This is a good spot with decent food, don't sit in Katie B's section, and make sure you let your server know what your watching on TV so they don't change your show on you. read more

I got some good hype about this place from friends for a while and did not get around to trying it until a few months ago.. and I gotta say, I was pretty impressed by their wings! Instead of having 50+ different sauces, they have 5-6 that you can mix together or have alone. The wings themselves were bigger than you would get at B-Dub's and they had a nice, light crispiness to them that did not get soggy despite the sauce. The environment is your usual, loud sports bar with your usual beer selection.. which was mehh. But the wings were definitely good enough to get me to come back. read more

This was till today my favorite wing place in Cincinnati. So today was Monday 69 cent wings. I like a variety of wings so I ordered 30 wings 3 different flavors. I'm not a big guy, but I can put away some wings. I probably would have eaten about 20 wings that day. I had been there several times and that was about my average. The server after taking my order said "Do you know these are dine in only." They had never said that to me before. I replied so does that mean I can't take home the ones I don't finish? She then said well I can't give you 3 boxes to take home. I said I'm not going to need 3 boxes. She said let me ask my manager. The manager then comes to my table and says that people have been taking advantage of the wing special. Not that you have, but I can give you 15 wings at special price and give you 15 wings at regular price to take out. I was shocked and insulted at this proposition. Who was she to tell me how many wings to order. If I would have been big and obese it wouldn't have been an issue. It's discrimination against average and small guys and probably women too. I had had a bad day and I didn't want to argue with her. Even if I would have gotten the wings at this point I was already to annoyed and upset to enjoy them. Up until today's stupidity I always liked this place. I always tipped a minimum of at least 20% on the regular price of the order and almost always more. I'm really disappointed with the way I was treated today. There are other wing places. In fact this review is being written at Buffalo Wings And Rings at 8377 Winton Rd. At the Ronald Reagan exit. We went there after my nephew's basketball game to have some wings, and for the adults, beer. The food was pretty good. I had their wings before a couple years ago and they are better than I remembered. They are large wings and had some good sauces, juicy, not dry. They were swamped but the staff seemed to keep a level head. Everyone looked to have a good time. The food came out a little delayed which understandable. The food was still hot and very good. Found out there is new management there to help get this place more organized and efficient. The food is already good, can't wait to see what happens with the new management!!! read more

Roosters is one of my go to places to start a Friday night! The long islands are the best and they will definitely catch up to you. The happy hour prices for drinks are great. The service is always good. It can get extremely packed if you decide to come around 6-7, especially on game night. Always a great time with friends. I've tried many different things on the menu, just typical bad food. But it seems like this store especially has a very local feel. I love it! read more

Everyone is usually cool in here and they are really busy on Monday wing night but if you like chicken wings they are really good and there are always some cute girls running around which is a big bonus for a single man like myself. My husband thinks this place has the best chicken wings in the Greater Cincinnati area. I'm not a wings person so I'll have to take his word for it. Other than that it is a fairly typical sports bar with a ridiculously large menu. Large menus usually make me nervous because there's always those few things they don't make a lot or very well and somehow I end up ordering them. Well, I've tried many different things and haven't been disappointed. Above average, not amazing but never bad. If you are a fan of wings, go here. I don't like wings but my family does and these wings are radioactive big. It's your typical wing joint - lots of tv's with sports on. We probably eat here twice a month. They always have drink specials, the service is great and it's family friendly. The have a couple video games for the kiddos. I placed a call in order for 40 wings and spoke with Jordan. She was very pleasant and did an amazing job with helping me decide what order worked best for me. I wanted to get the Tuesday wings deal but it was only for dine in. When I told Jordan that I was ordering 50 wings she took the time to ask her manager if I could get the dine in deal or any other deal. The manager declined to give me the deal. When I arrived to pick up my order, Lindsay greeted me with a big smile and showed me everything in my order while Jordan rang me out. I was very happy with the checkout experience because of those 2 young ladies. I think Roosters should rethink the dine in only Tuesday deal especially if someone is looking to order 50 wings. We stopped in last weekend around 10 p.m. and ordered wings, fried pickles, cheese sticks, etc. The wings were DISGUSTING. They were absolutely swimming in grease and they were not good at all. The other items were warm to cold - not very appetizing appetizers! The service was dismal as well. What happened to this place? The last time I was at this Rooster's was about 9 months ago and it was GREAT. Not sure what has happened since then, but I will not return. Horrible service. I went in before going to a movie. My friend and I arrived at 5:30 before a 7:00pm show at the movie theatre next door. We did not get our drinks until 6:10 and the server ignored us up until then. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich at 6:20 but the food didn't show up at our table until 7:45. The server hid from us as I wanted to cancel my order so I could get to the movie. We were overcharged on our pitchers both being charged as 14 dollar angry orchard as one was a domestic beer. When confronted the server said that she didn't think the price was different but would check for "good measure". My onion petals came out after I finished my sandwich. Disappointed. read more

I was very disappointed when I visited last night. The boneless wings were dry and over cooked and no sauce at all and the fried pickles breaking seemed a little under cooked on some. Usually there is liquid in the bottom of the container that the boneless wings come out in, but nothing. The beer was good and cold and service was adequate. Stopped by for an early dinner with my husband and glad we did. The restaurant was packed and had a short wait which was quicker than what they quoted us at. We were immediately greeted by a cheerful server named Avery. She took good care of us, her timing was good and we never had to ask for anything. We ordered an appetizer and wings to share. Our nacho appetizer came out quick, it was a little lackluster in flavor but was a generous portion and came fully loaded. Our wings came out shortly after as we were finishing up the nachos. The wings were amazing! They were warm and the hot sauce was the right amount of heat. They are the large wings that are battered in flour so if you are a fan of that type you will love these. 15 was enough to split between the two of us. Celery was fresh and crispy. When I'm in the mood for wings I'll definitely be back. Also, the side salads are good too just didn't order one on this visit. It's nice when you get both good service and a good meal! read more

I've been to Roosters a handful of times and I believe they have some of the best wings. However the past two times I've visited roosters have been huge letdowns. A couple weeks ago me and a friend went and when we arrived I went in and they told us it would be a wait an they wrote our names down. We stepped out front and watched as several people walked in and were seated immediately I'm talking like 10 15 people. I go inside and the waitress apologizes but I'm already upset so we go somewhere else. Today I was feeling like some wings and football so I thought I'd give Roosters another shot. It quickly turned into a terrible idea. They were slow only a handful of people seated and eating so I thought it would be quick but it took over an hour for 10 wings a burger chili cheese fries and fried mushrooms. That's the kitchens fault not the waitresses. However the waitress did forgot the chili cheese fries I didn't get a bone bowl or napkins I had to ask for them. Asked for silverware didn't get any she filled our drinks so much they spilled on the table and she didn't wipe it up and she had zero personality. For this I have to say I will never eat at Roosters again because the kitchen and the waiters are terrible. I do like their wings a lot but that's the 1 out of 5 chance of them actually getting it right. read more

I grew up in Columbus going to Roosters all the time because it was my favorite place. I moved to Cincinnati and this is the closest one to me. I have gone here multiple times and this location continues to disappoint. The staff is very slow and unaccommodating. The TV's have a bad signal which causes them to lag and the audio cuts out at times. Their wings have minimal sauce on them and overall food quality is not up to standard to what I'm used to in Columbus. I will continue to go to Roosters because I love the environment and food but this location is very sub par. read more

I went with a couple of girlfriends after an early afternoon movie. I have been there several times.The food tastes like frozen food that is fried. Not fresh. I ordered tater tots with cheese & bacon & they came out cold and the cheese looked like cheese wiz. The potato skins we ordered were cold and hard. We sent them back as well as those tater tots & the tots came off of my bill. If you want a beer then this is the place. If you want decent food I would have to say this is not the place.
