This store might be good, though i never got the chance to become a first time customer. I'm 21 so i'm always getting asked for ID. As im not Canadian, i was not fully aware that a passport isn't soley an acceptable form of ID, that a secondary piece is required.
Of course i was asked for my ID, so i handed over my passport and the cashier flat out said it wasn't me. Confused, i told him indeed it was me, only to be told to 'get out of the store'.
This pissed me off, so i asked to talk to a manager. The manager scrutinized me for a minute, then rattled off a series of questions trying to trick me into magically revealing that i'm lying. Then out of nowhere he told me 'we absolutely do not serve minors, now leave the store immediately and do not set foot in here again.'
If that's how they treat their potential customers then believe me i'll never be setting foot in there again.
They acted as if i was about to lose control and start guzzling down every alcoholic beverage in sight! I could possibly understand the situation if i had no identification on me, but since when is a government issued document not good enough? In that case, inform me in a decent manner that i need more proof. Take your booze and shove it where the sun don't shine. read more
