Service with a scowl! The blond manager is always rude and needs to change her attitude. I mean…read moreevery single time you have to have an interaction with her she is horrible!!!! When shopping I say hello, nothing in return. I say thank you, just looks away with zero acknowledgment and sour face. I provided two valid forms of ID to the cashier: a government-issued driver's license with a photo, and my MSP card. I fully understand that two pieces of ID are required, with at least one containing a photo -- and that's exactly what I provided. My driver's license fulfilled the photo requirement, and the MSP card was offered as the second piece. Still, I was told that the MSP card was not acceptable. What made the situation worse -- and frankly, unacceptable -- was the rude and dismissive attitude from the cashier. Instead of calmly explaining the reasoning behind the policy, he repeatedly said, "Give me a debit or credit card", as if that was the only valid option. I was simply trying to understand how a credit card, which has no photo or government affiliation, was considered acceptable -- but a government-issued health card was not. That makes no logical sense, and I was not arguing, just asking a basic, reasonable question. Rather than answering or attempting to explain, he shut me down, talked over me, and refused service. I wasn't being aggressive or confrontational -- I was being respectful, and just trying to understand the logic. I've worked in retail sales myself, and I know how hard the job is and how important it is to treat a fellow worker with respect. I would never speak to someone the way I was spoken to today. Unfortunately, both Tim and Jashan showed zero professionalism, no customer service skills, and no interest in resolving the situation respectfully. I even pointed out that I've been a regular customer here for a long time and offered to pull up my info. I even made a light-hearted comment about how much money I've spent here (I have coming to this place for the last 3 years). That, too, was ignored. I was treated as if I had no standing or value as a customer, and frankly, it felt humiliating. And to be clear -- I am not some drug addict from Whalley. I am a paying, respectful customer, and I expect to be treated accordingly. Today, I was not. One final note to management: Tim should absolutely not be in a customer-facing role. He clearly lacks the communication skills and attitude required to deal with people respectfully. Perhaps he's better suited to stocking coolers in the back where he won't be pushing long-time customers away. I would genuinely appreciate the opportunity to speak directly with the owner about this. The service I received today was not just disappointing -- it was offensive and completely avoidable.

I tried it at the Hopscotch Festival, it was deliciousness personified and I desperately want to spread it through my family. Unfortunately, it also seems like something that is difficult to find (not a huge demand yet). It was here, in a 6-pack or a case. And they have a 4-pack of Somersby's Blackberry cider! It's like a little liquor heaven! But really, product blah blah blah. I'm going to recommend you go to this place because of the amazing service I received. The clerk actually said "hello" cheerfully when I walked in. I KNOW. Outside of Japanese restaurants, a cheerful "hello" seems to be dying out. Not only that but when I asked her about the Taiwan Beer (I wish I knew her name; she didn't have a tag on), she was pure helpfulness. When I decided on the case (I mentioned that I want to infect my family with its deliciousness, right?), she picked up the case for me and brought it to the counter. I've NEVER had a clerk do that for me. They're usually standing there, watching me fumble clumsily with it, juggling everything plus my purse. The transaction itself was quick and friendly and then she carried the case to my car. I had added a tip to the cup but at that point, I wish I had added much more. Liquor stores are a dime a dozen; good service is worth its weight in gold. Definitely recommend.

Then I met one of workers who helped me out and gave me a wealth of knowledge about everything from whiskey to sake. I wish I would've grabbed his name, but unfortunately I didn't. Although it is a bit pricier than the states, there were some pretty good sales going on. Plus the store is super organized and offers everything from local Canadian Staples like Molson Canadian beer, craft beer from local breweries, whiskey's and sake's and everything in between. Only downside is a bit lacking on the mixers. Highly recommend coming here.
