Not bad, good service, a decent environment but nothing really special. The food wasn't bad, but it didn't taste amazing, some of it was fried so nice and crispy some of it felt like soggy. Hidden Gem Amazing food & atmosphere. Service very friendly explained menu was very nice. We tried boneless wings 2 different flavors. Bulgogi Rice Bowl highly recommend trying very unique flavor. We really love the chicken here! Super crispy and we find the original has just the right amount of spice for us. There is a lot of parking nearby as it is shared with the strip mall. Service is usually fast if you order online ahead of time. There is a TV inside playing Korean Pop music which is fun. Only complaint is that we couldn't find a non-spicy chicken for our kids to have. Would be nice if there was a separate frier for kids chicken or for those that don't want spice on their chicken. read more

As a huge fan of Korean fried chicken, I was super excited to find bb.q in Eden Prairie! My first experience with Korean fried chicken was in the bb.q in Midtown Manhattan on 32nd St! This MN location is tucked next to Turn Styles just east of Lund's and Byerly's. It could be a little confusing as it's next to a chiropractic office? Anyways, walking in the dining hall is bright and spacious. You order your food at the counter, and they bring it out. I suppose it's a lot like Famous Dave's in that way. First impressions were: "Holy cow, that's a lot of sauces! Sweet!" Look at my menu shots. Pro tip: use the printed menus with the pictures, as the menu sign does not have pictures! (boo...) I ordered the Spicy Galbi wings. Yes it's expensive. But Korean fried chicken has never and never will be cheap eats. You should google it and see the insane amount of work that goes into making these gooey crunchy yummy food of the Gods! To be fair to the other reviewers, if you come for dinner, come with a group as all sides are ala carte, and they're mostly more than $6. Meal deals with sides are lunch only. Pickled radish are complementary with chicken purchase. I got them plus a side of Kimchi, because Korean meal!! The chicken was insane. Like I said, gooey, crunchy, juicy chicken. The sauce was sweet and spicey. Yumm. Here's the kicker though. I believe there was MSG in the seasoning, as I did have a reaction right afterwards. Bummer. (-1 star.) The younger version of myself could have cared less, as I used to consume copious amounts of the neurotoxin, but no more. Well I will come back though to try the Kimchi ramen. I hope they don't put MSG in the ramen. Oh and they have Ddeok (spicy rice noodles) and Japchae (think cold lo mein with clear rice noodles). I will have to try all that out. There are several locations of this Korean fried chicken chain in the Twin Cities now, and it is similar to several other spots like Bonchon. The inside is pretty basic, but it bright and clean. We tried the Honey Garlic and the Gangnam Style boneless wings as well as the Bulgogi Rice Bowl. The bulgogi was solid but nothing special. The chicken though was VERY good. BIGGEST gripe is the price. Two baskets of boneless wings, dumplings, chicken fried rice, and three fountain drinks = $80+!!!!? $25+ a person seems steep for what it was, and the third was a child. However, the original chicken was good. Fresh and breading was flaky and just right in all the ways. Dumplings were packed full and the rice was different enough to call it good. The place seemed clean enough BUT be prepared to wait - we happened to just get there before a big rush in a Friday night and easily a 20 minute wait for your food.... and in sure it got longer the bigger the line got. Is it my newest favorite place? Not without a coupon or discount for next time and during a special occasion. My wallet is too sensitive to be a frequent customer. Also, she tried to encourage me to order the chicken strips, 'boneless' : I do not know why. 2. Do not take a liking to one of the 'available' sauces for the chicken until you see if it is available for the style of chicken you are ordering. 3. I came across bbq completely by accident and it was a happy one. I truly enjoyed my lunch combo with boneless wings in their special sauce which was a bit more sweet than heat and the fries were perfectly crisp. Everything was hot and obviously made to order. The restaurant is very spacious, new and clean. The service was as expected, but shined when another customer had problems emptying their tray into the trash. They accidentally dropped their silverware into the trash and felt horrible about it and a bit flummoxed which started to create a back up that the employee mitigated kindly and professionally. Sauces are not really my thing, I prefer dry spice, so I don't see this as a regular stop for me, but I may make a trip back in the future to check out their ramen. read more

I'll start by saying I ordered through Uber Eats and that's my fault. I bet if it were fresh it would be much better. I ordered a small wing and it said it came with 8. I got 7. They are big wings and even after a slow delivery, still had some crunch. Taste was fine. I don't think the picture is accurate for the wings I ordered. These were very dark in color. The dumplings were very large and well filled. The wrapper is very thick and chewy. The sauce with it is extremely salty but I'm guessing that's from the soy sauce. The ddoek-bokki was fine. I didn't know what to expect. I could have had a few pieces and been fine with it but it's a sizable ordered. The japchae did not look like the pictures. It was very dark in color and had very little veggies. The ones that were in there were very over cooked and indistinguishable from the noodles. Again, the slow delivery prevented them from even being warm so they turned into one big clump. They were ok. Would not get again. read more

Decided to try this place in search of something that would appeal to our group of three. Overall, everything was just simply too sweet and very expensive - $70 lunch for 3 people. The one stand out was the beef bulgogi rice bowl. We also ordered the Galbi wings - no real heat to the sauce, and the basic brined boneless chicken with no sauce. The person taking our order was very helpful in explaining the various dishes, and mentioned that the basic brined chicken had all kinds of seasoning and was quite flavorful. While the chicken was well cooked, it really lacked any flavor. We also ordered the "Cheeseling" fries. We took one bite and tossed the entire bowl. Honestly, a disgusting mix of cheese powder and sugar. The hot sauce condiment noted "spicy", but it, too, was sweet. We should have ventured over to the Asian Mall nearby. In addition - none of our meals came out at the same time. My meal came out first, and I was half way through my meal before my son received his, then my husband's came at the very end. read more

Both taste amazing, and both were also served on a hot skillet to give that extra crunch on the bottom of the pan. Service is always great, friendly host and server. The chicken is amazing and satisfies our craving for flavorful fried chicken. If you eat in the restaurant, the fries are crispier. When we get it to go, they get a little softer but are still delicious, especially when dipped in the extra sauce. I love getting the complimentary picked radishes with each chicken order! There was only one guy working the till, taking orders and running food. Because of the short staff, most tables were dirty.
