That extra step gave me real peace of mind that the job was done right the first time. He was professional, courteous, and respectful of my home. One thing I especially appreciated was that he put on boot covers before coming inside. I don't allow outside shoes on the upstairs carpet, and without me even having to ask, he took the initiative to protect my home. It's becoming harder to find contractors who genuinely care about doing quality work and treating a customer's home with respect. The plumber looked in my shower and saw gaps in the grout. I also had him cut a hole in the wall to check behind the handle. No problem there. The trim handle wasn't damaged. But the old cartridge was for sure damaged with the stem sticking out. Sure, the cartridge would need to be replaced anyways, but taking it out in the first place while not familiar with the fixture could damage the valve itself which could be a much worse problem.

The problem is if you have a dehumidifier like most people in Texas, they don't check that even if it right in their face and they also don't tell you up front that isn't part of the maintenance. So, when your dehumidifier breaks it's obviously not their problem. And when you cancel the maintenance plan they won't give you a partial refund even if you have only had it for one month. Weeks is another example of a company with shady business practices.

He was very good at explaining what is included in the service call and gave me a ballpark price for what I needed done. I received a phone call this morning saying our technician was on his way and would be arriving in 20 minutes. Walker arrived right on time and addressed the issues we had. Our first issue was that the outlets in the garage sometimes trip for no reason. The service call charge is $84 and that gets applied to the bill in terms of covering your first issue. We had an outlet replaced and that should take care of the tripping problem. Our second issue was a request to add an outdoor outlet in the front of the house. I can't believe when the house was built they never thought to install one. We have 2 indoor outlets right on the other side of the brick and windows. Walker was very professional and knowledgeable and added the outlet outside and it has a protective box around it so moisture won't get into the electrical outlet. Walker did a wonderful job and I highly recommend Selectric Services for any electrical work you may need.
