The drinks were great and loved that the event space had its own bar. Food wise it was delicious! We had the brisket and pulled pork. And everyone was saying how tender and yummy the brisket was. I truly cannot recommend them enough not only for a nice event space but also the food is just delicious!

Always on the hunt for great BBQ, my search led me to Martin's on a Tuesday night last week. It was…read morea slow evening, with only a handful of other diners, but that worked in my favor--plenty of brisket left, and it was perfect. Tender, flavorful, and exactly what you hope for when you order brisket. For my side, I went with the mac n' cheese, which was better than average--satisfying without being overly heavy. I finished the meal with a slice of pecan pie that deserves its own spotlight: hands down the best I've ever had. The atmosphere is casual and fun, with plenty of high-top seating and tables. TVs are scattered throughout so you can keep up with your favorite game while you eat. I even spent some time admiring the walls--where else can you enjoy BBQ in the company of a Jaws poster and the Marlboro Man? Turns out, at Martin's. Bonus points for a large parking lot, making it easy to get in and out. If you're looking for great brisket and a laid-back vibe, Martin's BBQ is worth the stop.

visited City Barbecue for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. Was scared from the mixed…read morereviews but it was honeslty great for a chain barbecue restaurant. Ordering was straightforward, and the food came out quickly--about 10 minutes after placing the order. Its counter ordering/pickup service so keep that in mind, but there are tables to sit at and a self-serve sauce and drink station which was nice. There are five different sauces available and they're honestly all great. The meats are served without sauce, which allows you to customize each item individually which is nice. I tasted each meat and side without sauce for this review to get a sense of the flavor that most places cover up. I got the Judges platter for $40 and heres what it came with: Sides first: The mac and cheese was rich, clearly heavy on cheese flavor which was a suprise, and well-seasoned with a noticeable saltiness. It wasn't as saucy as the homemade stuff(which i do love) and it did not have any smoky character, but it was better than a typical restaurant mac and cheese. The corn pudding was sweet and soft in texture, similar to a cornbread casserole with corn mixed in. It was quite sweet overall and leans more toward a dessert-style side than a savory one. Would probably be great with ice cream on top. Texas toast was solid. It was a good size, well-toasted, buttery, with a soft interior similar to brioche and a crisp exterior. No complaints here. Meats: Pulled pork was tender. Smoke flavor was present but subtle. There was a small bone found in the portion, and some pieces were fattier than others but i honestly love the fatty parts. Above Average. Brisket was excellent in texture--very tender and easy to pull apart. It had a clear smoky flavor and stood out as one of the better meats. I love the fat to meat ratio. This was excellent melt in your mouth meat. Chicken thigh was very juicy, but had less smoke flavor compared to the other meats. Its hard to make chicken not boring so this was average. Ribs were very good. They looked a little dry but they were tender, falling off the bone while still holding a slight bite like they're supposed to have. The smoke flavor on the ribs was more noticeable and well developed than on some of the other meats. Above Average Overall impression: The food quality was consistently strong across the board. There were no major issues aside from a small bone in the pulled pork. The smoke profile across the menu is more subtle compared to traditional local barbecue spots, but it is also controlled and avoids the overly dry meat or overly smoky issue that can happen elsewhere. At around $40 for the meal, the value is decent rather than exceptional, especially for a chain restaurant. However, the food quality is high enough that it still feels justified. Final rating: Food quality: A Value: B

My mac & cheese was also tough, chewy & crunchy with no exciting flavor. Collard greens? Bland & about 30% stems. The pulled chicken acquired some flavor after I doused it real good with a couple sauces. The wife had a two meat dinner of pulled chicken & brisket. She said they were ok. Her sides were coleslaw & baked beans. She wouldn't eat the coleslaw saying it had an unappetizing texture & was way too salty. The baked beans? Just ok. At the counter, waiting to place our order, we were immediately treated rudely and with what seemed to be an attitude of "Why are you bothering me?" I had a couple questions because it was our first time in that restaurant. I felt like we were responded to & treated in a rude and condescending manner. I work a job that caters to customers needs and works with them on a one on one basis. Never ever could I allow myself to treat one of my customers as we were treated by the employee we encountered at City BBQ.

My husband enjoyed his hotdog with yum yum sauce it was half sausage and half cheese, though he said it was mainly cheese not sausage. His was warm to eat and held together. Mine on the other hand was scorching hot, the wooden dowel slipped right out and it appears all the cheese did as well. I ended up with a super fried outside full of hot grease and remnants of the cheese that was supposed to be in there. My guess is the frier was just up way too high. They also overlooked our order so we finally had to go ask about it. Also note in the middle of summer the food court area is very hot due to the skylights but it was stagnant in the sitting/dining area. Off this visit I don't know that I would be back for a Korean style hotdog anytime soon.

I tried the Korean boneless chicken "wings". I usually avoid Korean wings because they tend to be overly sweet, sticky and messy. But, they were heavy on the garlic which lasted all day long. The same kind owners are still serving great food. And shocker! I don't think they've raised prices! Even after asking for a manager to quickly resolve the situation- we were refused. Very poor customer service. We stopped here at 730 on a Thursday-we were seated within a few minutes. Place appeared clean and not overly crowded. Ordered drinks and waited 10 minutes for drinks and to begin the ordering of food. The host places a paper liner on the grill and oiled it - said we had to keep it on and she would change as needed- it started burning prior To getting food, we asked to change prior to eating and she never did. Our first set of food took 15 minutes, as other tables around got their food after being seated after us. Only 1/2 the order was received- we got shaved chicken, small shaved steak, pineapple, zucchini.- mind you we were a party of 3. Paper still burning and peeled off on food. Fried rice had a weird sweet corn flavor which did not pair well with the food. Over 20 more minutes host had yet to get another order as she helped tables all around us- we were out of drinks and missing food items. Dishes were also piled up as other tables had staff clearing theirs ours remained and space is tight as is. We had to ask for manager- some staff came out - we got some food out and then they started just bringing random food.
