We drove all the way to Tacoma for some shopping at Seattle premium outlet and decided to stop here on the way home. This location is located inside the H-Mart supermarket building. It's like a food court area, not the ordinary BBq Chicken locations that we've seen. Services was good and fast. I did purchase a whole chicken and they were doing a raffle for it, luckily I saw that I was qualified but the cashier forgot to give me a ticket so I asked, she apologized and gave me one... hopefully I'll be a winner lol! Overall we love this chicken and just great flavors.

Boneless Cheesey and soy garlic fried chicken

This was absolutely horrible. We ordered Medium size boneless soy garlic and Medium size boneless cheesy fried chicken. When paying the automatic choices for tipping was $20, $35 and $45. For a $75 Take out order? The cashier was on the phone the whole time. Couldn't tell if she was talking to me or her telephone friend. Our order took 40+ minutes. To obtain our order. Located in the H Mart asian food hall. Decent amount of seating, floor staff bus trays and turn over the seats quickly. This was the dryest toughest saltiest Korean fried chicken I have ever had. Seems like they tried to mask the dryness by drowning the pieces in the sauces. I have had several Korean fried chicken over the years and I have never had such horrible chicken. I feel bad for the chicken to be treated so poorly. I wished I would've eaten there so I could go back and return and ask for my money back. If I could contest my charge I would.

I was looking forward to trying this chain but was sadly disappointed. I ordered the more Korean style golden fried chicken that has more thicker flakey crunch. The customer service was pleasant enough answering my questions. The first couple bites confused me about the flavor and wondering if it was intentional. Something felt off so I tried to find a different piece. The taste was still off. It tasted like it was cooked in burnt old oil. The pieces they used didn't have much meat, I would get through the skin only to find bone. I tried a different piece and could not finish it due to the off putting oil sour taste. This was unfortunate experience and hope they can figure out what to improve in freshness and quality.

Love the flavors amazing chicken. Dude ok-booki is delicious. Wait time is a bit long but what do you expect it's fresh.

Korean fried chicken wings

Came here for a bite and I wasn't feeling like getting something too heavy. I got myself an order of fried chicken wings and ended up getting a couple pieces of fried chicken ribs as part of the 10 pieces. So it was basically 8 pieces. Chicken was fine. Not the best Korean fried chicken I've ever had or even regular fried chicken. The pieces are tiny as other reviewers had mentioned about this place. Honestly could've been a lot better. Recommend eating at the other vendors at this food court, but if you're really craving fried chicken... then I guess be a bit disappointed. Service was maybe the highlight of the place. They seem to know who to look for when calling out the number. So I can respect the service at least.

Ate lunch here at the HMart food court. Seems quality as a whole has gone down since Covid. I swear it seems Covid is like the real life version of the Marvel movies "the blip" cause ever since nothings been the same with a lot of restaurants. This place like so many others now is super overpriced. Cost me 30 bucks for 9 wings and a side of fries. THIRTY DOLLARS! The wing quality was alright, not small tiny overcooked things like at Buffalo Wild Wings. The sauce looked good but flavor was slightly lacking. But for thirty dollars the flavor could have been gilded in gold leaf with a happy ending and I'd still feel cheated. When my wife found out how much I paid she gave me the look as if I set the price. You guys know the look. The "everything's fine!" Look when you know dang well she pissed. So yeah, I'll pass next time

The boneless chicken is HUGE! $20 for 8 Wings will definitely fill you up after the third wing for sure! The ddeok-bokki was also very big for $15 and we added on cheese for an extra $1. They bring the food over to you and ask where you'll be sitting so they can find you quickly. It's set in the H-Mart food court so don't expect continuous service. However, there are water stations that are set up so you can self service when you need to. Would definitely come and eat here again just for the sheer portion size to take leftovers home!

Cold, rock-hard, mostly rib meat or sandpaper.

Wow, that was probably the worst food I've ever been served in a long time. You can get better chicken in the grocery store deli - even the cold leftover wings packaged from the hot bar are better because you can at least get some edible meat on those. Came in over an hour before they closed, plenty of time for them to be taking orders and should be serving food. The lady at the counter, Dulce, didn't even see me standing right in front of her at the register because she was just assembling boxes and staring at the food court. I said hello a couple times and she finally registered I was there. I then had to order 3 times because she didn't hear me the first time and turned to talk to someone from the kitchen the second. The food came out pretty quickly. I ordered a half order of honey garlic chicken and cheese balls. The cheese balls were warm and tasty, hence the one star (though if I could give a zero, I would). But the chicken... was COLD. Literally cold. Not even warmed up, not even microwaved for goodness sakes. I got mostly rib meat, with one drumstick and a dried out breast that was so hard it could have been mistaken for a fossil. The meat was so stringy that it was like trying to chew hay, and I would be willing to bet money that those were 3+ day old pieces that sat under a warmer to dry and harden - then when served cold with cold sauce poured on top... yikes. Don't waste your money. $28 for a couple cold rocks and cheese balls is not worth the time and wait - you could get an entire feast at KFC or a deli or heck, go through the Chick-Fil-A drive through and get something that wouldn't be mistaken for a paperweight. Terrible, terrible, terrible. Ah let's not forget the pickled radish being served in a plastic bag.

Eleana S.

I always go to Hmart for groceries, but it's my first time trying the Korean BBQ chicken. I know it will be delicious with rice and pickled radish! My all-time favorite, though, is honey garlic crispy chicken. Just thinking about it always makes my mouth water!

The chicken had a chlorine smell, something is severely wrong here. Fries were the only edible thing.

Reviews are mixed. Many highlight the crispy chicken texture, variety of sauces, and friendly service. The convenient H Mart location is also appreciated.

Maybe the chef can find a way to achieve just enough tenderness while still being crunchy, which would be perfect. Another thing, my bowl looks burned on the edges. Kudos to all staff! My boyfriend and I stopped by here after a long drive from Kent as we are staying at a nearby hotel…read morefor a convention and it was pretty late so most places were closed. I had Dawa on my bookmarks for a long time ever since I saw videos about it and just the overall good reviews. We came in and saw that the place was pretty packed on a Thursday night but we were noticed quickly by a male employee and seated right away thankfully. Once we were seated, we were handed water and utensils as well as directions on how we can order as they have a small kiosk. We put in our order of galbi fried chicken, pork on the bone stew or gamjatang, and grilled pork belly. Once the order was entered, our waiter came back with rice, banchan, sauces and accompaniments for the pork belly, salad (think it comes with the grilled pork belly), pickled radish for the chicken and plates and bowls to share. It didn't take too long for food to come back but it didn't all come together which was odd but luckily the chicken was for sharing. The gamjatang was huge and pretty good, not as good as one of my favorite places in Federal Way but I will admit that they do give some huge pieces of meat and offer a one time refill of the soup. It could use more of a kick and more seasoning. The chicken as many others have mentioned was extremely well-fried, marinated and extremely huge. I do think they have the biggest Korean fried chicken pieces that I have ever seen in Washington. The meat was juicy, the outside was crunchy, and the sauce was heavenly. My boyfriend did say the grilled pork belly was some of the best he has ever had in his life, which is super high praise and I will admit that it is very good as well! They had an interesting playlist ranging from K-pop to regular pop (lots of Justin Bieber) and sometimes they would tone it down a bit then start blasting it. The two male servers working that day (7/16/26) were fantastic about checking in at perfect times, were courteous and refilled our waters. We never had to use to kiosk to call them once which I appreciated very much. My boyfriend and I look forward to coming back and definitely want to give a heads up that their portions are huge so come hungry!

The chicken was standard fried chicken size and came with 10 pieces. It came with 2 pieces of drumsticks and the rest were chicken thighs. The kimchi pancake was super crispy. We also ordered the beef tofu soup and the chicken bulgogi entree. The tofu soup was a lot - it did not come with an egg unlike other spots. The chicken entree was flavorful overall.

Kimchi soup tasted decent, some tofu, pork slices and a bunch of kimchi. Seafood pancake has visible and good amount of seafood and chives. Squid stir fry has the sweet-ish gochujang sauce.
