We arrived shortly before 1 PM on Friday, December 20, 2024, and left the next day after 5 PM. The first medical person who took her vitals confirmed she needed to be evaluated by a psychiatrist. However, in the 28 hours we were there, she wasn't seen by any psychiatric or neurological staff. She slept very little and was only fed once, requiring me to leave the hospital twice to buy her meals. They focused on a pre-existing lung condition, which was not the reason for her visit and was already known to her primary care physician. Initially, we thought a new opinion could be beneficial while waiting for the psychiatrist. However, after 20 hours, she was advised to consult her primary care physician about her lungs. Despite repeated promises that a psychiatrist would see her soon, we left without notice. This was the closest to third-world operations and service I have witnessed on US soil, and in some cases, perhaps worse. Among other anomalies, security guards played a significant role inside the emergency room, interacting more with us than medical personnel. I also noticed disparities in patient care, with some patients receiving more attention to their comfort than others. My sister received none; our concerns were promptly ignored without explanation. I am continuing with the formal complaint process through all available avenues, as I am sure invoices will be processed for essentially no treatment. In retrospect, despite our DIY crisis control, San Lucas Hospital Emergency Room resembled an entertaining incompetent spectacle.

Fatigue, extreme body pains, lethargy, ennui, malaise, anxiety, forgetfulness, facial ticks, I could go on with the symptoms. At the time, I asked them point-blank, different doctors, on different occasions if this could be due to mold toxicity. Pravan told me: - It was long COVID and nothing they could do. - Make sure I am hydrating myself and taking multivitamins (wow, great advice). - That this was due to pigeons defecating on my AC compressor outside the building (which, due to the physics of how AC works, air does not flow back from the compressor outside the building into the AC unit within the building, this is literally physically impossible and one of the dumbest things I have ever heard). - That toxic mold does not exist in Puerto Rico. And, of course, after months and months of extreme suffering, issues with my business, issues with my relationships all stemming from this, low and behold, I find a doc who confirms this is due to the presence of Aspergillus and the resulting mycotoxins within my apartment, as confirmed by tests on both myself and EMRIs on my apartment. Stay the heck away from Pravan.

The. Emergency room was so cold that patients came in with quilts, they had experienced this before. Urine drainage bag or catheter bags were being drained into 2 liter coke bottles. The hospital was not well equipped, and was truly understaffed. The entire 13 hours, I was not given a bed, just a chair. Being a territory of the United States receiving funding we expected everyone to be bilingual but most emergency employees did not speak English. Came back home to do all the workout again.

The best ER experience I've ever had place was very clean, and the personnel was very friendly. Third, the staff were not knowledgeable of how insurances work. Frankly, they either genuinely don't know how to bill insurances or they are lazy to bill insurances. Instead, they are very desperate to collect money first before seeing the patient in the emergency room, which should not even be the case because it is illegal to reject services to patients at the emergency room with or without insurance. Fourth, they did not prioritize our situation despite the urgency. It was almost like they were discriminating us because the patient is African American. Fifth, the staff were not helpful nor holistic. It seems like they see patients by color and money. Overall, this hospital has a lot of management and administrative things to work on. What a shame for an "exclusive-private" hospital. Do better!

It really was not worth going to the hospital for but would require antibiotics so I was looking for some sort of Telehealth option and came across this place. It's a bit pricey but obviously it's not through insurance and offered the convenience I was looking for and it's definitely cheaper and faster than an ER visit. Glad I did, I got a Telehealth appointment within 40 mins, did a quick video appt, and within a few minutes I got the prescription sent over to a pharmacy that's still open. It was easy and quick!

They don't inform you of anything that's happening. They do not pay attention to patients and they don't have compassion over any situation that's going on!
