This was our 2nd year returning and wow has the place has gone downhill. Our room was dirty upon arrival, sticky floors that quickly turned the bottoms of my feet black and my childrens socks. I always bring cleaning supplies/Clorox wipes along and I wiped down all areas the best that I could, but its not like I travel with a mop. I couldn't exactly clean the floors. The bathroom cleanup I did turned my wipes brown, when was the last time this room was actually cleaned? TV in the room was breaking, which management was aware of. FYI its not hard to replace a cheap tv with a new tv, not sure if management has ever heard of a site called Amazon, they sell tvs and cleaning supplies , just saying. On top of it there was a large group who took over the communal spaces , with lots of small children who they were too busy drinking to parent. The tiny bathtub sized "resort" pool was overtaken by the unsupervised children with giant floats. By a miracle these kids survived their pool takeover, it takes a moment for a child to drown. On top of it these people were slobs leaving garbage, toys, fishing poles, crab traps all over. We mentioned it to the woman working who did nothing about any of it. We left the resort and spent most of the time at the beach to avoid drama and stress , we made the best of it because we couldn't find another hotel with availability to pack up and leave to go to. Overall the place is dirty, obviously mismanaged or management is in over their heads who can know, and there are many other much cleaner places in the area to stay for the prices they are charging. This little gem was such a happy surprise. The premises is neat as a pin and the location, right on the bay, is beautiful. Brian, at the front desk, was welcoming and helpful. The room had a microwave, coffee maker, small refrigerator, hairdryer, shampoo/conditioner/body wash dispensers in the bathroom (great water pressure in the shower BTW), WiFi, and a large flat screen TV. Stayed here for Palm Tree Festival and had the most amazing experience. The room was larger than expected and very clean. The amenities were great! The pool was the perfect temperature and the dock was amazing for late night hang outs. Brian and the rest of the staff were very attentive and welcoming. This is a DISGUSTING "RESORT". This is a Broken down motel with ZERO amenities; No hair dryer, No Iron, Filthy Place. The from desk is SO NICE when you check in but when Your car is hit in their Parking lot due to very short spots, they become rude and tell you to call YOUIR INSURANCE COMPANY. Myself and 2 other cars were hit in 2 days. They refused to tell me, even though they knew who the person was who hit and left the scene of the accident; A CRIME. My insurance is now going through the roof. They idea of Breakfast, BRING YOUR Plates, silverware and coffee cups for the horrible pancakes, stale muffins and they run out of sugar and cream for coffee. Is this a Section 8 Motel? I think it is!! As for the photos, Don't know where they were then but certainly not here. STAY AWAY or at the least Park down the street somewhere; NOT SAFE HERE. I needed a place near family for one night. My husband couldn't stay at family's house, due to cats. So I saw this place, on a travel site. Booked it. Never really read the yelp reviews. BIG mistake. First, I am not used to Motel style rooms. With outdoor rooms. Never really liked them. So I figured I'd deal. Checking in, the room looked clean. I later read the reviews. And wasn't happy with what I was reading. Then come bed time, I couldn't sleep, because the door, didn't have a great lock on it, and I was nervous. Also, because I seen in the reviews about bugs. So I had a fear that one would crawl on me while I was sleeping. So I finally slept a little. Wake up, use the bathroom, go to get back in bed, but someone beat me to it! A bug! Looked like a roach. Right where I had been laying all night. Not cool, at all. I washed up quickly, put my bathing suit on, and waited outside in the heat. My husband packed up. As he was in the bathroom, one, a little bigger ran across the vanity in the bathroom. Then he ran into the club house to get some sugar packets for his coffee(purchased outside) and on the table of food, some one had just caught a "bug" in a cup, and got rid of it. Upon checking out, we let the man behind the counter know he has "bug problem". I show him my pic and he tells me they are tree roaches. They come out when it's humid, and where there are a lot of trees! I personally didn't think there were many trees over the property. He explained that he called an exterminator, and they would be here in 4 days. So he started to fix the problem on his own, with traps, behind the refrigerator. My wife and I recently stayed at the Bay View Resort for 5-nights. We had a wonderful time. The resort is a little laid back, and morning breakfasts were not available we were told due to Covid. Our Balcony Queen #6 room was very clean, and had an end of balcony location providing spectacular views of the resort property, and surrounding Tiana Bay. A small refrigerator, coffee maker, and microwave were also provided. Kayaks, canoes, and bicycles were available upon request, and a nice salt water pool provided welcome relief from the sun's hot rays. The resort's location is conveniently located to the Hampton's, ocean beaches, and within an hours drive to Montauk Point and Lighthouse, as well as the whaling town of Sag Harbor. The staff is very friendly, and will offer many suggestions for local sightseeing, as well as dining options. We Highly Recommend the Bay View Resort for your next vacation! read more

Best Resort! I just stayed 2 nights in a Balcony Bay View Room and it was so fun and relaxing. Dan the manager is the Man and he goes out of his way with hospitality. The rooms are renovated modern and comfortable with windows galore and a beautiful view. They have a great bathroom and mini refrigerator and coffee machine and ice bucket. Also there is a big screen TV but you will probably be doing other stuff. It's very private and safe and I felt more than comfortable during COVID 19. It's right on the bay with a gorgeous view and a beautiful dock to sit on plus chairs on a little sandy beach. You might prefer the salt water pool on the bay. There's tons of comfortable lounge chairs and tables everywhere. Although it was fully booked everyone was following rules and social distancing and wearing masks when they should. It really has a homey feel. There was lots of nature, swans, birds, fish but I didn't see any bugs. It's super close to the best Ponquoge beach plus they have beach passes. And did I mention bikes for adults and kids. There is also a club house with a very equipped gym. Parking was right there it was so easy to find right off the freeway. Also there are tons of great restaurants and supermarkets 5 minutes away plus great antique and specialty shops. I love Hampton Bays it's the less pretentious Hampton and so beautiful and fun. I already booked for next month and am counting the days till I return and will book every year now! Their prices are very reasonable for the great quality. My wife and I stayed at Bayview Resorts last week. All I can say is we had such an amazing time that we stayed an extra night. Dan, Peggy, Heather and Daren couldn't have been more accommodating. From check in to greeting us every time they saw us. This place is a must stay if your going to stay in the Hamptons. The rooms were perfect and clean. The grounds were kept beautiful. We had booked this place for the weekend on the first day of fall. It's a gorgeous spot right on the Bay! The staff were friendly upon check in and even let us check in a little before our reservation. We have a young boy, and he was all about the salt water swimming pool and of course the TV, lol! We loved being able to take out the boats they have on the property on to the Bay, and it was included in our stay at no extra charge! They have a medium sized row boat, a canoe and two kayaks! We used the rowboat once and then I used the kayak solo the following morning! There's a small cardio gym in the clubhouse that was open to use as well! Also, there was a free fire pit that we used and just bought some wood at the local Stop and Shop to end our night with a bit of country! Luis and and all the staff were friendly and helpful, and not at bad price either. Talk with him also if you want to get some local ideas of where to go or visit, and also be sure to rent or try paddle boarding with him as well, he knows all the spots in the area! We personally felt that we got way more than our money's worth. I can imagine it gets busy during the summer and peak times including weekends, so just keep that in mind. We we're lucky enough to have a window in time that escaped the crowds and almost felt like we had the place to ourselves! read more

My husband and I stayed here last weekend as we wanted to visit the Hamptons for our Anniversary and it seemed like the best deal we could find. We arrived early, so didn't expect we would be able to check in, but they were kind enough to look after our bags until we returned later in the day. Once we checked in, our experience was quite mixed. Some things were ok, and others weren't. Pro's - *Lovely view over the bay *Rocking chairs on the deck *Kayaks for guests use, free of charge *Complimentary breakfast Con's - *Room was not cleaned sufficiently Upon arrival I noticed it wasn't entirely clean. The surfaces had sticky marks on them from drinks or sweets or something & the floor was sticky *Complimentary toiletries/toilet roll was not replenished *No info at check-in of Wifi code, breakfast times, check-out time, etc (and no info in the room) *Noise (we were on the ground floor with another room above us, a family were staying in the room and it sounded like they were running races up there, so we were up at 6am on the first morning of our vacation *Breakfast - toaster not working (main option was bagels, so couldn't toast. Breakfast entailed of bagels, muffins, bananas & 1 type of cereal) *No glasses or cups supplied in the rooms kitchen, just 3 expresso size paper cups and they were not refilled for our second night I mentioned to the man on reception about the cleanliness issues in our room. I made very light of it and asked if when housekeeping visited the house if they could just give the surfaces a quick wipe and the floor as it was sticky and I had to wear flip flops to prevent myself sticking. He checked the cleaning rota and said he would advise the cleaner and thanked me for bringing it to their attention. We returned to the 'resort' after being out for the day and noticed the cleaner knocking on our door at 4:45pm to clean the room. We went to the pool area so the room could be cleaned and 5 minutes later she had left. The bed was made and the bin emptied. The surfaces still had the same sticky marks on and we weren't given any new towels, toiletries, toilet roll or paper cups. I could have said something to the man at reception again, but I thought there wasn't much point. I understand this is more of a motel/B&B and when I stay at similar places I do adjust my expectations, but for nearly $700 for 2 nights, I expected cleanliness at the very least. As everyone keeps telling me, 'it is the Hamptons', so it is expensive, but I only paid $45 more per night to stay at the Ritz-Carlton in Hawaii! and they are worlds apart. I feel like the resort is making a huge mark up on the rooms and not even meeting basic standards that you could expect. Cleanliness is a priority no matter what the cost. It just made me worried what else they hadn't cleaned, doesn't bare thinking about. read more

It's a perfect getaway from NYC. Take the LIRR to Hampton Bays and a quick Uber to the place. The reception was super welcoming and thoughtful with their suggestions. The room was clean. The view is beautiful. The free kayaking and cycling were appreciated. The firepit is a great touch and the deck on the water is perfect. The breakfast had great muffins and good coffee. Everyone has just been very kind and relaxed. For us it was a perfect way to getaway from the city with some good books and every now and then go check out the city only to come back to our nice spot. Oh and even though you don't have a direct view of the sunset. You still see all the colors from your room looking out. read more

I love the Bayveiw Resort In the Hamptons! I've come here every summer the last four years, and will continue to make this my home away from home. The rooms are great...always clean, has a fridge, microwave, comfy bed, free WiFi and many other amenities. The view of Tiana bay, the waterfront deck, salt water pool, kayaks, and free breakfast every morning make for a great vacation in a beautiful spot. This is not a resort! This is a MOTEL at best! Very overpriced for what it is. As we arrived, my room was not ready, which is totally acceptable. But the day after, they called and to see why I hadn't checked out yet... I had 2 more days there. Even then, no big deal. But when I got to my room after a long day, they had left my door open and didn't even make the bed. This is a huge breach of trust. ANYONE could have walked in taken all my stuff that was there. My wife and I just returned from a two night getaway here. Darren at the front desk couldnt have been more pleasant and accommodating. The room was immaculate. There are many activities to keep you busy-a pool, kayaking, canoeing, yardzee, cornhole, biking or just relaxing on the beautiful deck. It's a hidden gem. BEWARE, This place is old, dirty, and not at all as the pictures seem. The manager first tried stating she was overbooked and didn't have my room, after we start to complain, then magically found a room but gave me the option to look at it first, just "to make sure it works". Travel quite often and I have NEVER been given the option at a hotel to scope out my room before check in (this was clearly done because she knew the room was not up to par and would not work for us), went down and checked out the room and then understood why she offered, room was extremely run down, dirty sheets (when mentioned this the manager told me they are not dirty just stained, LOL cause that makes it better). I also mentioned to the manager that the lobby was grossly dirty and the grounds looked terrible, her excuse was she "has had a busy day and hadn't got to cleaning up'. OKAY, how is that my issue as a paying customer? The manager working was quite dirty herself, had dirt under her nails and dirty hands, not professional or a good impression at all! I eventually said I would rather not stay here and left, two other customers who witnessed this came out to the parking lot after I walked out to tell me I did the right thing by avoiding this place as they were also unhappy with their room and the grounds. Weeks later after I returned home, Bayview attempted to charge me for the one night that we never even brought our bags into the room because of the cleanliness. This was disputed by my bank. The manager then sent a letter to my CC with a completely false account of how this incident occurred, stated she showed us the room herself, LIE! She also states that she informed me she would still charge me, another LIE, when we left she did not apologize, did not mention that I would be charged, NOTHING like she states in a letter, This was disputed by my bank. Do not trust this management or this MOTEL BEWARE THESE ROOMS AS WELL AS THE STAFF ARE DIRTY!!!!! Want to risk bed bugs? Give this place a shot! read more

Just spent the weekend in the penthouse (6/5/15) it was BEAUTIFUL. Brand new, refinished. I was the first to stay in it :) it was worth every penny! Beautiful resort and very friendly staff. Chris was great and very accomedating! The penthouse includes 2 queen size beds, kitchen table, a full stove, lots of cabinet space and a mini fridge (only down fall) Beautiful views and perfect location, great for a mini getaway! There is a continental breakfast but don't come hungry it was really only coffee, muffins and bagels! I am satisfied with my stay and will definitely be returning! read more

This was the perfect spot to stay at for a wedding this weekend. They were very accommodating and let us check in early. Everything was clean and the prices were affordable. Good location near lots of food and shopping, while not being on a main road. They had bikes and kayaks you could borrow for free which is super fun. I definitely suggest staying here. read more

I recently produced a big photoshoot in Quogue, NY and booked a large amount of rooms with Danny at the Bayview Resort. From start to finish Danny could not of been more helpful and patient with all my demands. The hotel is adorable, super clean, nicely renovated and suited my crews needs perfectly. Spent a weekend here end of June for a decent price as it was booked very last minute. Rooms are clean and nicely renovated. Beds are what you expect. I like them for being super friendly, courteous, and clean. They serve free continental breakfast 8:30am to 10:30am. There's also pool access and a club house. I saw neither as the weather was beyond bad when i stayed. Nonetheless, it served the purpose and would return if i'm in area again! Thank you Chris for your hospitality! read more

What an amazing gem tucked away on Tiana Bay. The View is breathtaking. Surrounded by the water, wetland and easy drive to town. There is a pool, club house, gym by the waterfront. The Bayview Resort in Hampton Bays is definitely a hidden gem! Right off Montauk Hwy and is close to many surrounding restaurants and stores. When booking our 4 day /night reservation, spoke with the manager Danny and was concerned about the Covid protocol. He explained and reassured me that the rooms were sanitize with high grade disinfectant and kept my mind at ease! Upon our arrival went into the office to met Dan who was just a doll! He went over all the paperwork, handed me the keys and a brochure map of all the places surrounding the Hamptons. Very easy check in/out! He also told us about the free beach access pass to Ponquogue Beach. Our room was super clean!!! Had two full beds, microwave, mini refrigerator, sink, coffee maker, TV, blow dryer etc. The beds were super comfortable with a lot of pillows. Each room was renovated and looked really nice!! Dan and Peggy always came out to speak to us and always asked if we needed anything. They both were super friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay the best!! Anytime we had a question they were always there to answer anything!! Deirdre the young cleaning girl was the sweetest!! She always made sure we had enough towels and if we needed anything she was right there to assist!! On the grounds they have a beautiful pool, fire pit,new clubhouse with a gym and breakfast nook and lounge area. They offer FREE kayaks, canoes, to sail out on Tiana Bay or if u just want to take a bike and ride around! The resort sits right on Tiana Bay with a beautiful deck over looking the bay. There are a lot of rocking , lounges, Adirondack chairs to sun or just take in the breath taking and water views! I am rating this beach resort a 5/5 and would definitely be back again soon!! Infestation with roaches!! I ran across the Bayview Resort and it's great reviews. I believed it to be a credible account of what to expect, BOY was I WRONG! We arrived and found that our room had not been cleaned, so we were forced to wait outside for 30 minutes until they were able to place us in another location. When we finally entered the room we first notice that although it had new furniture it wasn't very clean and noticed residue throughout the furniture, we also noticed dead roaches in the bathroom. To be honest the place felt dirty and unclean, but we had no other choice so we decided to make the best of the situation. We left our belongings in the room and returned that night. During the night while trying to sleep we were awoken suddenly to Roaches all over us in the bed and throughout the room, they were literally everywhere!! Unfortunately we had to wait until the morning to discuss the situation with staff since no one is available during the evening hours. My wife, infant baby and I stayed up all night waiting for the front desk to arrive, it was miserable. Finally in discussing the incident with the desk the next morning, we were promised a solution to this unfortunate problem, which apparently was also occurring in other rooms throughout the resort. The solution was that they promised to spray our room with pesticides to kill the insects, but of course we couldn't stay in a room with residual chemicals and an infant child so we decided to vacate. We had to discard all our food and perishables we purchased for our trip, we also had to throw away some of our belongs in fear of having insects. In conclusions, all attempts to discuss this matter with management remain with empty promises. I personally spoke to the owner who apparently has left all responsibility to a person called Eileen, who has not responded to a number of phone calls. I have stayed in many hotels and "resorts" throughout the country and overseas and I usually understand when things are not perfect, but this was something neither my wife nor I have ever witnessed our lifetime. When you are staying at a facility the least you expect is cleanliness, this place has clearly failed at this basic concept. This is by no means a RESORT and we will never return, I strongly suggest doing yourself a favor and finding another place to stay while in the Hamptons, trust me you will thank me later read more

There's no phone in the room to contact the front desk. Tried calling their "emergency" number and no answer. No assistance what so ever with staff. Very cheaply made motel even with all the "renovations". Definitely not worth the money!! Just a shame because I was expecting to have a good time based on the reviews but this place certainly had major problems and over charges for their rooms! read more

I so badly wanted to give this place a 4 or even 5 star rating but could NOT. 1st the water for showering was way below body temperature. Probably 85 degrees! 2nd the internet service is simple bad. What do they have only 1 wifi for all 25+ units. The signal is weak or on existent. If you pay over $250 per night for a room this means that you almost definitely have a high income. Almost everyone with a high income works hard and probably will be doing some work on vacation and will need reliable internet access. Cell phone access in the east end of long island is limited so you rely on wired land lines with wifi access. If the 1st & 2nd were not an issue this place is great 5 stars for the price. Great staff, great location, nice rooms, great parking, great amenities (pools, beach pass, kayaks, etc.). I hope this rental place fixes the above and then they will be a more desirous budget resort. read more
