When I had my tummy tuck I lost a lot of blood and development a hematoma. When I went for my follow up visit after being at the hospital for two days he drained the excess of fluid and it goes worse and developed a high risk infection. After multiply visits to Dr. LaMonaco's office my wound wouldn't heal, he found GAUZE inside my incision! It's a shame that's such a high end hospital such Methodist Clear Lake would work with a such a doctor. He is not caring or professional and only cares about the money. During the initial consultation I found Dr. Rich to be extremely knowledgeable and very attentive to all my questions and concerns. She carefully explained all details of the procedure which helped me set expectations for the surgery and recovery phase. The office staff was equally outstanding. As a man I was a bit intimidated at first with the idea of an all lady staff. That quickly dissipated as everyone was friendly, professional, and treated me like royalty. While this was not my first surgical experience, I can't recall a more comfortable and relaxing procedure than this one - most likely a result of the "special touch" provided by an all lady team. The surgery was performed on a Thursday and I was back at work the following Monday. Though swelling was noticeable for several weeks the pain was very minimal and didn't require medicine. Wearing a compression garment 24/7 for 6 weeks was a bit inconvenient but the worse part was not being able to perform any physical activities during that period. On the positive side I am now caught up with most of my Netflix shows..... While full healing is expected to take up to a year, the results two months post op are simply incredible. I was referred by two friends, and I couldn't be happier so far! I never felt uncomfortable in his office, and my husband feels the same. His staff is incredible, every person I interacted with was pleasant, knowledgeable, and helpful. They all had a way of putting me at ease, and that's not typically an easy task. I asked Dr. Adam to make me proportional, and told him I was afraid of going too large. He offered me two sizes he thought fit my body best and recommended the larger size. I was really scared of the larger size. He told me the reasons he thought it would fit my body better, and I agreed to that size. I was extremely nervous about it, though. But now? He was totally right. If I had gone smaller, I would be too small for my frame and it wouldn't look right still. Everyone I know agrees. I'm so thankful I trusted him. I have what I would call normally moderate anxiety. On surgery day, I couldn't eat or drink anything (obviously), and started feeling ill. I had a full blown, very embarrassing, anxiety attack in the pre-op room after I got my IV. My husband went to get a nurse and moments later the nurse rushed in. I was nearly passing out by that point and shaking horribly. I scared them a lot I think LOL But they handled it like the professionals they are, quickly getting me a cold towel and asking how I was. The anesthesiologist came in and talked to me a lot, and gave me some medicine to calm me down once he understood it was just a really bad anxiety attack. He was a wonderful man who really helped make me feel safe and calm again, even beyond the medication he gave me. Their bedside manner is unmatched, pretty much. They asked me several times if I still wanted to proceed given my anxiety attack, and I assured them I did. Then I woke up in the car on the way home. Regarding recovery, now I'm almost two weeks in and it still hurts like a MF. I am a mother of a two year old and have clearly overextended myself, particularly by using my left arm too much. I fully trust Dr. Adam so I'm 100% certain this is a pulled muscle I did to myself, and nothing surgery related. My next appointment with him is next week to get the sutures removed and have the follow up. Everything looks great, seems to be healing just fine, and I am very pleased with the results so far. I can't imagine how happy I'm going to be once I'm fully healed. 10/10 would recommend. So far I couldn't have asked for a better experience (except maybe if it wasn't over an hour away from me! ).

After the third message, the office manager finally responded, tersely, didn't provide any cost info and, when I said I'd cancel my procedure if I didn't know at least roughly how much it would cost out of pocket, she said "We have a very long waiting list," suggesting she didn't care if I cancelled because they had lots of other patients. I called the next day to complain and asked to speak with her, but she wasn't available. The receptionist said she's call me back that day; she never called. I cancelled my procedure the next day. Long story short, if timely, courteous treatment by the office staff is important to you, then look elsewhere.
