I've noticed many people who book here will keep booking the same time every year, just like our family. The family that runs this place is SO welcoming, kind, and easy to talk to. I haven't been to BLR in years but Michele always asked my family about me and finally seeing her this year was like no time has passed. It's comforting to know such a wonderful place is ran by wonderful people! Our cabin (#3) has the perfect view of the lake, my parents say they pay for that view if nothing else. Its even a beautiful sight on a cloudy/rainy day! Cabins are pretty clean and updated, nothing bad to say about it. Full kitchen. Heat/AC available. Wifi worked great. Super cozy. My bed was so comfortable, I slept great every night. Somehow, this place feels like home and paradise at the same time. Lots of recreation available: swimming area, playground, fire-pit, docks, canoes, boat launch, grills, etc. It's also about a 10 minute drive from the village! Blue Lagoon is easy to fall in love with, definitely stay here next time you visit Lake George!

I like it because you don't have to walk up or down a great big hill to get to the water. At night they have a nice bonfire to sit around and they provide all the wood for you. It's a nice relaxing family atmosphere . We have stayed in their cabins. They do a great job keeping everything clean and updated. ThereThere's a nice clean beach right there on the property. Unsanitary, unsafe & horrible management Please don't believe the positive reviews!…read more August 2024 I never leave reviews, but I really don't want anyone else to have the terrible experience my family and I had on vacation at this terrible resort. We had a total of 45 family members staying here. The rooms are old, dirty, and poorly maintained. Some of the rooms had no hot water and the owner Lenny, said that he tries to regulate the hot water. The lock on the entry door to our room was broken and difficult to lock. Lenny checked it out and said you have play with it, and it isn't going to be like your lock at home, you have to play with it. If you rent the big house on the premise, it smelled and had cobwebs on the chandeliers and in the kitchen. Also, keep in mind that the owner lives on the top floor. Its very odd! The two bedrooms both had holes in the walls from the door knobs. The bathroom is tiny with a very old tub and sink. The next day we rented boats. Lenny and another worker set the boats up. I expressed I didn't know how to swim and needed life jackets. They got the life jackets, but once we were already out on the boats, we realized there were none on it. I called the owner Lenny and he wasn't apologetic and kept saying he couldn't believe they weren't on the boat. I checked again with him on the phone and there were none on it. He then brought us the life jackets on the lake. Other family members were on another boat that broke down on the water. Lenny came and made light of it, said he knew there was an issue with the boat, and told them to wait on the boat while he went to talk to a mechanic at dock. Again he never apologized or offered any compensation for their lost boat time. Upon returning my boat, he didn't apologize and then proceeded to tell us that we damaged the propellor on the engine. There was no way we did and and he was so nasty about it. My husband and I started arguing with him. Immediately he started saying I'm going to call the cops. I expressed how with any complaint we made, he made light of it, and never tried to rectify the situation. We got nowhere with him and decided to leave. Please read the other negative comments because they are true! He must be writing his own positive reviews!

My niece was married two weekends ago at the Inn at Erlowest on Lake George in upstate NY. On the…read moregrounds of the Inn are a series of lake-front split-level townhouses and smaller villas known as Sun Castle Resort, and that's where the wedding party and family members stayed. The resort is located about a mile north of Lake George Village, which makes it very close to the outlet malls, Six Flags Great Escape, and all of the wonderful hiking and boating options in the Adirondack Mountain region. You check in up the hill, right as you turn into the property off of Rte. 9, and then drive down, past the stone castle (Inn at Erlowest), and down a steep hill towards the lake. From there you have an assigned parking space, literally feet from the shores of the lake. My split-level townhome was spectacular with hardwood floors, granite countertops, two separate bedrooms with private bathrooms, a sleeper sofa in the living room, a fully-stocked kitchen, seating for six around a dining room table, washer & dryer, barbecue grill, and two balconies facing the lake. Some of the other townhomes had fireplaces and even more bedrooms for larger groups. Sun Castle also has private cottage-style villas which are a bit more rustic, but also have the same amazing views of Lake George. These are designed for couples or small families. On the property you'll find a heated outdoor pool, also overlooking the lake and the mountains. They have a kiddies playground, and free use of the resort's kayaks and rowboats. There are also private sandy beaches along the lakefront, as well as boat launches and dock space. My niece decided to hold the wedding on a point of land, right next to the lake, and adjacent to the townhomes, and so we were treated to these amazing views of the water and the mountains while enjoying her service. Fabulous place, and a great little "hidden gem" for those wanting to enjoy a romantic weekend in the Adirondacks.

No one slept well because of a safety light on the path next door shining in the rooms. Master bedroom upstairs has doors to a small balcony overlooking the main living area. There are no shades or curtains on these doors so you can't have the lights on in the kitchen area or dining area without them shining in the bedroom. There are three random wall lights but not a single switch turns them on. There were dishes in the dishwasher, food on the spatula, and food stuck on the cutting board. There was hair in the upstairs bathtub. The downstairs bathroom was clean and the shower curtain looked freshly laundered. The extra blankets snelled strongly of someone's perfume in places. Unlike other condos or rentals we've stayed in there were not the general provisions in a full kitchen like you might expect. Such as salt, pepper, You cannot adjust the temperature. That lil B word thermostat just kept saying...... but my family likes it cold. So instead we opened up windows, but awesome sauce theres no screens on the windows. If you happen to stay the weekend of a wedding, you can hear the music from the festivities in the condos. There were fireworks offered by the wedding party, which usually I'd be jazzed about. They were at 9:45. We're in the season where it's dark out by 7:30. Just my personal opinion, they should be an hour after sunset in any season if your in a highly populated area.

From the beginning, under the original owners, this resort became more than just a vacation spot, it became part of our family tradition. The original owners were truly remarkable people who poured their hearts into the resort, treating guests like family. Their warmth, hospitality, and understanding of what made this place special set the tone for everything we've come to love. Now under new ownership, I know there have been mixed reviews, but let's be honest, everyone starts somewhere. Chris, the new owner, listens, takes suggestions seriously, and is clearly making an effort to modernize the resort while honoring its legacy. Change is never easy, especially when emotions and memories run deep, but I see the intention behind it and truly appreciate the effort. The rooms have been revamped with clean floors and refreshed spaces, and housekeeping comes every two days, which works perfectly. And if you ever need something... just ask! The staff is accommodating and always willing to help. What keeps us/me coming back year after year? It's the community of regular guests who've become our "summer neighbors." That sense of connection and tradition is still very much alive. Chris understands how much we loved the previous owners and respects that legacy, while also bringing a new chapter to Flamingo Resort. My wife's family has been coming to The Juliana for over 30 years now, and I've been going for over…read morea decade. In that time period, there have been many ebbs and flows to the quality of the experience. Right now appears to be a significant downturn. When the new ownership group took over a few years ago, we were hopeful. Rooms were refreshed a bit, new bedding and towels were purchased. Since then, it's been a steady but slow decline. We always stay in the same rooms, and the shower in room 29 has been leaking in the same spot for the past 3 years now. The deck to room 30 is rotting away and was absolutely filthy when we arrived. The sheets on two of the three beds in room 30 were stained. The entire building ran out of propane our first night there, so there was no gas for the stoves or any hot water our first day and a half. The grill on our deck was absolutely filthy and had old food lodged under the grill plates. The stove's burner was partially disassembled and had soot all over the place. These are oversights that never would have occurred when Eric was running the show. While all of these oversights throughout the property have happened, the costs has grown exorbitantly under the new ownership group. It's a terribly sad thing to see. The location is still fantastic, and the front-facing staff there are still wonderful, but it seems like the absent ownership is taking the profits from this property and putting them into their other properties in the Lake George property. We'll probably give The Juliana one more chance purely for nostalgia's sake, but if we don't see significant improvement next year, it will sadly be time to move on. There are far too many properties up and down the lake to accept what The Juliana is providing for the price point they are charging.
