Our neighbor had used Angeles fencing in the past and was satisfied, but I went ahead and got two other quotes to be safe. One other firm was definitely more high end--their estimator was extremely knowledgeable, pointing out issues with the previous fence construction I was unaware of and suggesting specific improvements. But they also were by far the most expensive. Angeles and another vendor pitched similar quality fencing materials and construction, but Angeles was about 30% less expensive. When it came to the rebuilding the gates, there original estimate was for a "standard" style gate, but I wanted something more robust. After some back-and-forth we agreed on a gate with tongue-and-groove construction, glued, new latch hardware and a rounded top arch. The gate came out fine; the cost was 1/2 what the high-end bidder was asking! The crew was efficient and on-time; the fence took one day and the gates took a second day.
