They helped me find a hotel. Made me comfortable in town. Gave me a ride. Oh...and the repair was priced very well...they totally could have hosed the outsider. Finally! They documented all the damage as this repair is falling to the dealership. Jeff Thomas, I need relate to you and all perspective customers what has transpired with my 1989…read moreJaguar XJS, and the warranty which expires on 20 September 2020 which you would not honour. As you remember, I paid over 6,000.00 for your services and regret every minute and dollar spent. I should have asked for the accreditations of all the people who worked on my vehicle as I believe they were more BOCES than Jaguar trained, yet I paid the big bucks for what I feel was no more than Craigslist mechanics. Let's begin with the loose steering. The steering wheel still has play and earlier this year I brought this to your attention but you refused to look at it unless I paid a 67.00 fee. Since when does a shop of your "caliber" look for money to inspect warranty work? That's why I wrote to the Better Business Bureau and they published my complaint regarding tour work. Next is the alignment which you did twice and admitted, "That's the best I can do". At 275.00 for an alignment I would think you could have made this big engined vehicle...12 cylinder go down the road on a straighter path. Let's talk about the brakes, 1500.00+, which pull to the right and the front hose which I was charged 101.00 leaks. The brake light keeps coming on at the oddest times, and then shuts off. Finally the "Minor" tuneup which you gave the car. You didn't clean out the mouse nest which took me 2 hours to remove, but you did tell me there were leaves. 970.79 for a job that left my idle to this day erratic, and quite a few vacuum hoses which you "forgot" to reinstall. I inspected terminals which were not cleaned but corroded. And one more thing, the PCV valve which you replaced for 104.83 and mentioned it really didn't need it but it might have been original, so why not...but the engine breather which was adjacent you didn't touch. I read the manual, removed it and soaked it in gasoline to remove the molasses like crud in its lattice work shaped body. I also scraped the gunk around the pipes which I am sure you should have looked at as it was so close. Jeff, you and your crew did a disservice to my beautiful 1989 5.3L XJS convertible. This year since you worked on it has been a nightmare as I believe you didn't solve the problem but became part of it. And yes, because I know you will use this...I did complete your survey immediately as I trusted you, but didn't know the negative issues until I drove the vehicle and it was too late to retract them. You used this against me when I disputed 2,900.00 worth of your work with American Express, and you won the case. Sly...very sly. My vehicle, as we reach the 1 year warranty point which you will not honour has been driven less than 4000 miles which again fits into your warranty specs, is not where I want it and reed it to be...I feel I have wasted a great deal of money and would not recommend your shop.

I chose to go with Murphy's and there was a slight issue with getting my transfer case oil changed, but in the end I was glad that the mechanic did not put in the wrong fluid, and instead waited until the OEM-specified fluid was available the following week. I was very grateful that the wrong fluid was not used, despite the delay. However, when we returned we waited with the vehicle for the transfer case to be done which took ~45 minutes, just as promised.
