We bought a 2006 Toyota Sienna LE from Bayside Auto. The test drive went well and they worked with us with the deposit. We were happy when we picked up our van, until we heard a clicking noise on turns and a grinding noise when you have stuff in the cargo area. Turns out it needs a right front axle and might need struts. These were probably things they should have taken care of before they sold it. I very highly recommend Bayside Auto! I found them through their listing of a low mileage, extremely clean, and well priced Toyota Prius on Cars.com. After coming in to the shop to view it, I found the car to be just as described online, if not in better condition. After two months of ownership, it still operates without any flaws. The small staff at Bayside Auto were able to tell me exactly where the car came from, as they themselves bought it from the original owners. The mechanic carefully detailed my car up until the moment I drive it off the lot. He also gave some good advice on maintenance and encouraged me to come back if I needed any service. I was so impressed with my experience at Bayside Auto that I later took a family member back to sell their own car. We were able to sell it to Bayside at a very competitive price. Once again, the service was great. Now, this is the place for my whole family. From my understanding, Bayside Auto is also a fully functioning mechanic shop that largely services classic cars. I think this, alongside the small staff, explains the high quality of their dealership service, as they have knowledgeable mechanics on-site and aren't flogging cars they don't know or care about. I bought an 03 miata from these guys. I spent months looking at all different Miatas all around San Diego and Los Angeles and look at about a total of 6 cars. I even almost found a mazdaspeed miata I liked out in east county but it was not in the best shape. Each car I looked at I had to compromise. One car I might need to fix something with the engine block, another car I would have had to get all of the rust out of the radiator and who knows where else. Here I found the best miata NB that was in the best condition I could find. Pretty much the only problem was a motor in the mirror being broken and the factory radio not displaying its digital output correctly. I worked primarily with Hiro who pointed out all of these above issues out to me from the beginning, let me inspect the car all over, and took me out on a test drive where he drove the car and had me drive the car. The buying process was easy, straight forward, and the autoshop took care of all of the paperwork involving the DMV. In addition to the above, everyone who works at the shop is friendly, always picks up the phone, and is extremely trustworthy and professional. I felt this way from the very first time I stepped into their auto shop. They have some amazing cars on display in the front, have even more amazing cars in the back, and(while I was there) had customers happy and smiling as they paid for repairs on their cars. (I believe the woman I saw my first day there was having a honda minivan being worked on). The last time I was at the shop to pick up my license plates and registration, a happy customer driving a mazda 3 was leaving the shop. It has now been a month since I have bought my Miata from the Autoshop. I am about to go to a track meet, I have parts coming in the mail, and I am extremely happy about my purchase. The owner of Bayside Auto Group was buying a 1959 Cadillac to re sell for more money, which he later told us he was doing, put his deposit down on a negotiated price (negotiation number 1) then called back and renegotiated the price because he assumed the car had air conditioning, which we did not advertise that it did, we helped with the cost and lowered our price once again for him to be able to put in AC (negotiation number 2). He then waited until his seventh day to fly to Denver to inspect the car which we suggest. He was given all of the receipts that came with the car from the restoration almost 200 pages and about three inches of documents. He selectively went through to try to find repairs without receipts in order to negotiate once again, we had already lowered the price twice we let him know we would not lower it again. He then left without confirming he wanted to buy the car. The next morning on the eighth day he called in to try to renegotiate once again asking for an additional $4,000 off, this was not ethical. Simply Bayside Auto Group was trying to work as a middle man to make money, got greedy and was not sold the vehicle. He is now frustrated that he negotiated himself out of the vehicle. His client would be very disappointed if they ever figure out why they do not own the car. Lastly even though he was a day past his seven deposit we refunded his deposit to help with his flight cost. Do not work with this company as a buyer or a seller as they will not get you the vehicle you want or for B2B will take up your time, your staffs time, and are unethical to work with. Know that Hiro is not honest and will not be open with purchase prices of cars if you are using him. The vehicle was sold to the next buyer as Hiro had went past his deposit term and tried to re negotiate once again, he then was extremely difficult and complained about how he was entitled to the car.
