Called a number of computer places locally most said the motherboard is shot and It would be cheaper to buy a new computer. Laptops aren't built to last? Then I called Tony at 911 computer repair. He quoted $99 and came to the house and picked up the computer. He did say the labor and parts charge could be more depending what he found. He called back in 2 hours. "You need a new SSD . I'll get it from Amazon and won't mark up the parts. " He sent me the link from Amazon and we agreed that the labor would be $165 as he had to reinstall windows too. I thought $235 to repair a $1500 laptop was reasonable. Tony kept in touch throughout the process of ordering the new drive and installing it, texting me pictures of each step of the repair. Tony had my computer up and running at a much faster rate within 72 hrs. Tony is honest and a man of his word. I would have no problem going back should another issue with my computer arises.

Well i didn't need to get to them...so i didn't worry. When I tried a few weeks later..I couldn't get any to open. I tried to contact him several times and received no response. I decided to take it to another shop to see if they could retrieve any of the data from the disc hard drive and all the files were corrupted and didn't contain enough data to retrieve. They also pointed out that the SSD wasn't even being used...the operating system was booting from the disc hard drive not the Solid State Drive. They advised that they would have transfered the operating system to the SSD and partitioned off the bad start-up sequence on the disc hard drive...that way all of my data would have been saved ! When he installed my SSD to replace the disc hard drive that was operating the system he didn't transfer the start-up or operation system to the SSD. So basically.... he completely wiped my disc hard drive and all of my data with it when it could have been easily saved by a knowledgeable tech. Years of pictures...gone....What a waste!

I gave the PC at 10:30 am and it was ready by 2:00 pm that same day! That may be atypical but still very commendable regardless! They are close by to USF/New Tampa. They are in a small plaza with Hungry Howies across the street from Popeye's on Florida avenue just south of Bearss intersection. A hard drive had to be replaced. It was $160 plus tax total. I'm sure BB or other big places would have been $200 plus. Cons: None. Note: Their minimum fee is $79. If additional parts/labor are needed, it will be added to that amount.
