To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally complain…read moreabout repeated misinformation and lack of follow-through by staff at the AAA branch on Brokaw Road. A few months ago, I went to this location to handle my mother's handicap placard using a valid Power of Attorney. I was incorrectly told by a staff member that a Power of Attorney would not work under DMV rules. This information was false. I later confirmed directly with the DMV that a valid Power of Attorney does cover all of my mother's DMV-related needs, including this matter. Yesterday, I returned to the same AAA location to cancel two memberships--one for my mother and one for my aunt--both of whom I legally represent under Power of Attorney. The front desk employee, who identified himself as Javier, stated that he would remove both individuals from the account and that all calls would stop. Unfortunately, that did not happen. Today, I have received multiple calls from AAA stating that these accounts are "expired" and need renewal. I had to repeatedly explain that both memberships were already canceled and that both individuals have permanent handicap placards, making the memberships unnecessary. This reflects a serious lack of communication, training, and follow-through by your staff. Power of Attorney is a legally recognized document, and it should not be dismissed or misunderstood by AAA employees. Additionally, when a cancellation is confirmed in person, it must be properly processed to avoid continued harassment by phone. I expect the following: 1. Immediate confirmation that both accounts are fully canceled 2. Written assurance that no further calls will be made regarding these accounts 3. Proper staff training regarding the validity and scope of Power of Attorney documents This situation has been unnecessarily time-consuming and frustrating and should not happen again. SMH ‍

An 82% increase in 2025!!!…read more I previously had a 6-month cost of $1,257.44, or monthly payment of $209.57 (but was charged $230.30/month and they have not explained why). As I understand, an at-fault parking lot incident would be 1 point. More than two years have passed with a clean record as well as mileage that decreased to 1/10 (if not even less) in the past 8 months. I had no significant increases until this year. I also checked with friends and family with State Farm in California, and they had approximately 17% - 22% increases (which CA approved), not an 82% increase! This is unique to their agency. They are stating that s previously stating that "2 full years have passed since 11/19/2022. A clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or violations is a 0 or SR. Because of this at-fault accident your driver rating should be a 6, but 2 years passed, meaning your driver record is currently now a 4." State Farm billing states that "For every 12 months since the renewal following the occurrence of a chargeable accident or the conviction of a minor violation, the initial assigned Driver Record Level for that chargeable accident or conviction shall be lowered by 1 level." This agency is stating "Every 12-month period, your driver record would decrease by 1 point, meaning this incident will be on your driver record for 4 more years." In the state of CA, at-fault minor parking lot incident is 1 point and is on record for 3 years. This was not a traffic violation or other serious infraction that would result in a 6 rating or longer lasting record. It does not make sense that they JUST decided to raise my payments by 92% after more than two years of a clean record when I am in year 3 and back to a 0 rating. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. I have obtained four 6-month quotes with other reputable auto insurers with my record that are within $250 of my previous $1257 6-month rate and will no longer do business with Rachel Bhan.

My agent left the business, and my policies got transferred to Peter. I was happy in the few…read moreinteractions we had, but then the following happened: I asked to add my fiancee to my auto policy. They got her information, and said they needed to run a check on her out-of-state license, and then they will add her. 6 months pass, and I get my renewal documents - she is not listed. I email Peter, no response. I call the office - and the person I spoke to essentially says in a very nonchalant way: "oops, looks like we forgot to add her, now it's fixed". Huh? She was driving essentially uninsured for 6 months, you don't see how it's more than an "oops"? Blown away, I ask for Peter (who is apparently busy at the time) to give me a call back. Nothing. A day later, I call again, and again ask to speak to Peter as soon as possible. Again, no response. I had no choice but to change agents at that point. The lack of response and acknowledgment of their error was completely unprofessional. Mistakes do happen, but this is not a way to handle them.

Peter and his team are incredibly easy to work with. Everything can be resolved with a quick phone call or an email. This proved invaluable during a recent home financing where the bank required some changes to our home owner policies. Peter and Lucy quickly made the changes and emailed the new policies to the back--in minutes. Peter regularly reviews my policies to make sure I have the right amount of coverage for my own risk profile. In most cases this results in a net reduction of premium. I couldn't ask for better service.
