Not even introducing herself or what the call is for, asking for full payment of $5000 Or $6000 to be withdrawn from his account to cover the cost for Escrow! He was like what! Props to my amazing husband for being on top of every bill and proof! Why are you waiting 12- 14 months later to call us about the payment, when we never received any calls, letters, emails in regards to this? Asking for negative balance to be paid and raising our mortgage! Yeah, no' Your bank dropped a ball, simple as communicating and sending a letter or email! We literally have nothing that shows us that our escrow was in negative for someone who is on top of their bills and checking emails. My husband is a pretty organized person and it would be hard to believe he missed this! This was a total surprise and shock! Makes me really nervous to bank with them and I have lost all trust after today! I believe by California law; Your mortgage servicer is required to provide you with an annual escrow account statement within 30 days of the end of each escrow account computation year. * This statement should outline the activity and balance in your account and may include the previous year's projection or initial escrow account statement. * The servicer is also required to perform an escrow account analysis before providing this statement. In the…read morepast things went fairly smoothly but this last experience which was transferring a loan from one property to another in a 1031 exchange was beyond ridiculous. The back and forth and continual requests for docs which I had already submitted was unbelievably frustrating. It took 2 months of back and forth because it was "complicated". My father has a trust and as the surviving spouse was selling one property to purchase another and so doing was moving the loan to the new purchased home- how complicated is that. Provident marketed this loan as transferrable but I believe due to the low interest rate they did not want to transfer it so looked for excuses. It was a nightmare even though I had a banking relationship for years. Will not be going back.
