Agee's is who they use for their cremations. We took him on Monday, Agee's picked him up Tuesday, he was cremated Wednesday, and Thursday morning, our vet called and let us know that we could come pick him up. Seeing the way Agee's presented our big boy was amazing. We chose a box urn, that you can insert a picture, a clay paw print, and the ink print nose. It was the absolute most beautiful thing I've seen (besides my Big Bruce when he was living). Our hearts are truly touched, and I can't help but cry every time I see him, and the apparent care they put into helping us. Thank you for all you have done for us, Agee's. Thank you so much.

My baby girl died on Monday morning. On Tuesday morning, they called after receiving her from the vet. That poor woman on the phone had to deal with my snot-nosed crying, and she was still able to make me laugh. By Thursday, my girl was returned to me in the most beautiful box, and all of the trimmings--silicone paw print, nose/paw print (inked), a huge clipping of fur, beautiful poems, you name it. Losing a pet is so dang hard, but they really did right by her, and I am so appreciative for the care and compassion from the staff here. They really gave me a lifetime of memories, and I am ever so grateful for how amazing they are and the services they provided.

We did choose to get a wooden box to put her ashes in so she could sit with my dog Bruiser who passed away last year. They were friends for 10+ year. Like a favorite toy, blanket NOTHING. I always left my pet wrapped in blanket and asked and got the blanket back. Using the same blanket each time I've lost a beloved pet. The last time was March 2024 but went through my vet but with the same company doing the cremation. A form was filled out to return the blanket. The blanket was NEVER returned. They claimed it was cremated with my pet. This is NOT what I wanted or requested. These people could care less what they did. Even the district manager I spoke to was rude and could care less. I'm not 100% sure that it was cremated with her and at this point I'm not 100% convinced I have 100% of my beloved pet back. DONT USE THIS COMPANY.

Who else has had a traumatic experience with Med Vet on Causeway?…read more https://www.medvet.com/location/new-orleans/ I was referred to this emergency vet after calling Pet Center on David Dr. around 10:49 PM regarding a severely injured baby possum I found still alive with traumatic injuries and exposed organs. I was shocked and deeply upset by my experience. The hospital refused not only to examine the possum, but also declined to provide humane euthanasia. Instead, I was told to drive approximately an hour to Baton Rouge (which was closed) or begin calling wildlife rehabilitators myself--after 11 PM at night. What made this experience even more upsetting was that no veterinarian came out to speak with me directly. I was told they did not handle wildlife, but this was a tiny, fatally injured baby animal clearly suffering and in obvious distress. I understand clinics have at discretion policies and limitations, but I left feeling helpless, frustrated, and heartbroken. I took a chance driving there late at night, even with a brand-new trailer attached and no lights, because I was trying to do the right thing and prevent suffering. Sadly, the baby possum died later that night. That reality has stayed with me. Part of me wants to share the photos so people can understand the severity of the situation and why I was desperately seeking help. Compassion matters in emergency situations. I was not looking for specialized wildlife treatment--I was simply trying to find humane help for a suffering animal and left feeling dismissed during a heartbreaking emergency.
