Our family pet Mia

My Mia is in the Gatden area. they are loving, kind so loyal to our family I would highly recommend Heaven's pets to my friends and family Mia Oubre Mommie Josie & Shelia lyons -Mom of Mia and family thanks you all .

I didn't deal in person but just on phone. I was happy with conversation. We accomplished everything I wanted. The lady on the phone knew what I lost and was so kind. Called me back when she recieved him. When I picked up my baby everything was perfect . Thank you

Ceramic dog on top of box was not part of package. Note the TPLO screws and ink print of paw with missing toe... personal touch.

Extremely compassionate. Quality and beauty of box is best of any others I have received. They even called to ask if I had a preference regarding which paw for imprint and ink. I wouldn't have thought of that in my grief but I actually had a preference. But the biggest unexpected surprise that was above and beyond expectations was sending the plate and screws from her TPLO surgery. I called that her bionic leg. Little details can mean more than they know. I am very grateful for the compassion and care during such a hard time.

In the counseling area, lots of options for honoring your pets remains, should you choose to privately cremate.

My 15+ year old cat passed in January, and since I rent, I needed to find an alternative to burial. I called around and everyone suggested Heaven's Pets. They're the only outfit in town that does cremation. When I called I was told that there were two types of cremation available, private or communal. Alistair, my cat, was....a very difficult cat and keeping his ashes was not a priority to me so communal seemed the best option. I wrapped him up as he passed at home, and brought him over on a rainy, dreary day. The staff was respectful, reserved and empathetic. They took Al away and asked me to sit. "Oh no" I thought, "they're going to want to talk to me about him." A lady sat with me to go over my information and the method I preferred as well as to chat a little bit about Al, the kind of cat he was and to sympathize with me. I was really impressed by her sincerity, and in my grief appreciated that they made me and his memory feel special and unique. They quoted two weeks to pick up his memories (clean blanket, lock of hair, paw print, poems, certificate of cremation). The lack of 5 stars is because it took me nearly a month to pick up Al's memories. I called at the three week mark and was told that someone would call me back. After a week with no communication, I called again and was told I could come by that day. Again, I was seated, the golden retriever support dog "Blitzen" came to keep me company and a different lady talked over all the pieces of my memory package. When I first spotted the bag of his hair I thought goodness, they must have given me some other cat's hair as it looked too dark. But upon closer inspection I saw all the dandruff and flecks of tablecloth he had rubbed into and knew it was him after all. I am overall quite pleased with my experience, the level of care given and the value of the service. Communal cremation was $100 which includes a paw or nose print, and lock of hair at no extra charge. Private cremation with the return of their ashes costs $200. Urns not included.

Urn and certificate

It's hard to put into words how truly amazing this place really is. Every step of the way my girl was treated with respect, and kindness. The letters that came with the urn were so beautiful they had me crying, but most all were helpful with grieving. To the woman who was working February 6th... thank you truly for you kind words, and interest in seeing pictures of her and reassuring me my grief is valid regardless of what kind of animal she was. If you've lost a pet you can rest assured they'll be in good hands at Heavens pets

Included in the price of an individual cremation (that's a lock of hair in the bag).

People in this line of work, should have training on how to deal with grief and grieving people. Based on my experience, they haven't.

My baby died that morning and since I elected to have the private cremation, Heaven's Pet picked her up the next day.

There was an option first to cancel, which I did not press because that was not my intention. Subsequent ones came asking me to confirm or cancel, but I did not see u ntil later. There was one around 11 am of the day of my 1 pm appointment that said " Hey, are you coming." I did not notice any of these, nor subsequent texts that the appointment was cancelled until I appeared at 1 pm for the appointment. I was told there was a policy that the appointment would be cancelled, but I explained I did not know that and did not recall being advised of it when I booked in person a few days before. I have not had such an experience with other groomers. The groomer also insisted she had called me, but I later checked my phone for voice mails or missed calls and saw nothing from Petco. The worst thing, however, was the rudeness and condescension. I am 78 and was lectured about the text policy multiple times as if I were a child. I attempted to reschedule but did not understand what service packages included what and could not understand her diction easily as it was very regionalized. I do not have a hearing problem. She complained I had taken up 20 minutes of her time and again lectured me about the text policy. I did, frankly, lose my temper and told her she was being rude and I would not schedule with Petco again. I apologize to Petco for the time it took and my losing my temper. I felt truly broadsided by her attitude. No effort was made to apologize to me for any inconvenience. I was new to going to Petco for grooming, do not have a dog, as the dog belonged to a family member who needed the favor. A little training in customer relations, not managing or insulting, could go a long way. Hint, also: not everyone has the time to monitor their texts. A courteous phone call truly made could go a long way.

Because we do not live in the area, we had to do a significant amount of research, ask detailed questions, and place a great deal of trust in the person we chose. May appeared professional, was knowledgeable about her services, and clearly cares about animals. Based on our early interactions, she seemed capable and experienced. However, communication became a major concern. Email responses were very slow, and important details were not provided until the last minute. The most concerning issue occurred one week before the wedding, when we finally received an invoice that included unexpected charges. While we were initially quoted $75 per hour, the invoice included over $200 in additional "consultation" fees. There was no formal consultation--only a few email exchanges (approximately 3-4 emails) requesting basic information about services and timelines, many of which went unanswered. Due to the lack of timely communication and the surprise fees so close to our wedding date, we ultimately felt uncomfortable moving forward and canceled our plans. Future clients may want to clarify all fees in writing upfront and ensure communication expectations are clearly established.

May watched my cats for 4 days and took excellent care of them. She helped ease my anxiety before I left and made sure my cats were well cared for while I was away. I would definitely use May again next time I need to go out of town. Thank you, May! =^..^=
