When I said I was blown away, that isn't an exaggeration. I tried their sampler of the Jambalaya, red beans and rice, gumbo, and their shrimp étouffée with the cheesy grits. That étouffée with the cheesy grits blew my mind. The rest of the food was good, but that first bite of the étouffée was one of the best mouthfuls I've had in a very, very long time. So much flavor! I certainly didn't expect this in Huntington, WV. I wouldn't have thought there could be a hole-in-the-wall Cajun place in WV, but this is absolutely legit. So much so, that I went back the next day to get a full portion of their shrimp étouffée and try their shrimp po'boy sandwich. Again, it was nothing short of incredible. This place is small, but it deserves a lot of attention. The owner is a man of few words, but his food is absolutely fantastic. A restaurant never hits on everything and it's up to personal tastes, but those po'boys and that étouffée are absolute winners. It's unfortunately often the case that the small restaurants have some of the best food, and that is the case here. I am in Huntington for work often, and I absolutely will visit this place every time I'm there.
