We have a problem. Thermostat was set to 75, temp was reading 78, and climbing. We have out of town guests coming in 4 days. If we can't resolve this we'll have to arrange for a hotel, not to mention living in miserable heat and humidity. Good luck getting an AC repair in 4 days in the heat of summer! I expect this will be a painful and costly process. I was out Monday and not able to call, so now I'm down to 3 days. After looking over reviews, I decide to call AC&H Services. Scott and Chris have nothing but good reviews. They start at 0700 so I'll try to call and see how far out their schedule is. I call at 7:10. Scott asks for my address and says he'll be here this morning. Wow, impressed that he can get me in today, I think he'll come around lunchtime, walk around and give me an estimate and schedule a future day to come back to do the work. Not at all what happens. Doorbell rings at 7:25! 15 minutes after the phone call! It gets better! At the door, not much in the way of introductions, Scott immediately begins asking questions, what happens, what doesn't happen. Looks at the thermostat for a few seconds, then he and Chris head around back to look at the condenser. Quickly they figure out it's a bad contactor. A relatively inexpensive part that they have on hand in the truck. Just a couple of minutes later and the AC is back online, the house is cooling, the invoice is written, and that's that! I'm good to go and they're ready to leave 30 minutes from the time I called! Clearly things worked out for me and the odds of everything working out don't often happen. One of the reasons I called his business, other than the killer reviews, is that he's very local to me and I hoped it would help, and it did. It's a testament to their professionalism and customer service that, not being an AC expert, Scott could have sold me anything at huge markups because I needed it fixed now. That's not how it went, and I can't express how grateful I am. If at all possible, I will absolutely give Scott my future HVAC business and have, in-fact, advised him that when things slow for him in the fall, I'll want him to replace my old AC unit with something more modern. 10/10 recommend AC&H Services!

I can honestly say that there is not a single thing a person could have required done to their heating and cooling systems in a home that I have not had done in this house since purchasing it. To include a new chimney liner for a furnace and a new mini split in a converted garage. During my time with HV Mechanical I have found the company and its personnel to be extremely flexible, kind, and honest. For example, Heath identified a part listed in a new job for one of my projects that was not truly and instead of going ahead with installing the part they bought at their cost he left the component in place and reduced the cost of the project. I would never have known the difference. I trust Heath and his team with the upkeep of this house. Another time I had an issue with my AC unit and brought multiple people out here for a free estimate on a new unit. Instead of gouging me for a complete new AC unit Heath did a thorough examination of our system. Identified the issue and attempted applied the fix to the coolant tubing in an attempt to save us money. His fix has held for over a year. Every company has its faults, especially small business. HV Mechanical Services and their team do their best to ensure they provide you with the best service available at a reasonable cost.

They do 1.5 million dollars with First American Home warranty, which owner proudly stated. Their highest regard is serving the home warranty company and not the customer. We have a mechanical breakdown of our AC handler. We have no AC. The entire coil inside and outside is completely iced over. Tech stated he would return in 2 weeks after previously stating that the coil had a leak to check and stated it works, and it was. I linger frozen. He stated the home warranty company would not replace the unit, which we know is a lie since we have been a customer for 13 years. Then he took back the comment that the coil had a leak, blamed the blower and then said there is no diagnosis. He does not have the technical skills to diagnose an AC outage nor is he willing to state on insurance paperwork a replacement. Replacement should be stated due to age of system and coil leak. We had another contractor come to our house before the home warranty contractor and he stated the unit has a coil leak and needs to be replaced. York Mechanical was fired on the spot due to unwillingness to diagnose our AC outage. They also leaked excess freon into our yard. Tech said "I have to take what you say with a grain of salt," which is stating that I am lying about our AC outage. Can you even imagine being told this by a tech with your AC broken? He told us we turn our AC down too low at night and that is why it is frozen over. If you go with this company to do work with your AC out, they have a 2 week lead time at least. Under warranty while waiting for parts you will have no ac up to a possible 6 weeks. I do not recommend this company unless you want to have someone who does not want to truly help you and is more worried about pumping more business into his business via home warranty calls.
