The term homely takes a new meaning with this place, it actually is based in a house!! If you want sunday lunch this is probably a good place to go.
As I said the place is is set in a big old house, a tad old but the antique look has a charm that you would associate with all things old or "authentic" as it is often called. It has been refurbished recently though so it's not exactly falling apart. Naturally as is the case with all "homely" venues the food here is excellent and the staff are friendly. The sunday lunch option I spoke of is 3 copurses for under £15.
Be prepared however to share the restaurant with customers having bucket list meetings. The restaurant is very popular with the local retired community. So don't be surprised, you have been told!! read more
