Happened upon this theater while eating nearby, have to say I had an amazing experience with very friendly and helpful staff and the comfort/theater condition is unmatched. It was very affordable and they validate parking. So cool that it's operated by Netflix and I get to watch their movies on the big screen! I will be back for multiple future movies. Great place!

This is the place you go if you want to indulge. You don't come here if you wanna see a movie every week or even twice a week. At $27 a pop for an adult ticket it is quite pricey. No wonder their clientele is celebrities and rich folk (that's what our server said). I came here on a Tuesday in November and saw Ralph Breaks the Internet. We were the only 2 in the whole entire theater. It was nice because we got to sit wherever we wanted. LOL We kept joking around about saying that this is how the rich live in their private theaters. We could talk to each other since no one else was there. Normally I would never do that. LOL The seats are comfy and white leather. (I hope faux leather. I love animals!) We were there early but the commercials that were showing already indicated what kind of crowd that they cater to - elevator installation in your home, Prada ad, Burberry ad, etc. On to the food - entrees start at $12.95. Appetizers start at $8.95. Luckily our server said that we were allowed to order from the kids menu (starting at $7.95) when my friend asked. LOL He got the sliders for $10.95 - comes with two and choice of apples with caramel, skinny fries, or fruit (+1.25). He chose skinny fries. As for me, I got the pizza ($11.95) and truffle fries for $10.95. I wanted to order just a side of fries but you are not allowed order a side unless you order an entree. Boo! I know...sucks. Over all the experience was a pleasant one. Our server was very polite and sweet. I'd definitely come back, but on someone else's dime. LOL Ok, ok, ok...I'll give you $13.50 for my ticket. :) Again, it's nice to be catered to. Also, parking isn't free (even after the validation) if you park in the structure. Street parking was practically impossible to find but good luck if you do get it. The area was decorated so pretty for the holidays. This is definitely a date place idea too. So, fellas...if you wanna impress me, I'm single and ready to mingle. J/K I'm not a gold digger! If the date goes south, we can go Dutch. LOL

UPDATE: They now have some discounts (finally) for the first show of the day on weekends and shows during the week. $15.00 for adults which beats the $27.00 regular price by far. Still not a fan of eating a meal during a movie (or being disturbed by others ordering) but the 5 minute walk from my house is nice. Seats recline and are a bit firmer than the ones at AMC but still relaxing. Small theaters but the sound was top notch during the "Bruce Movie" Blinded by the Light which was EXCELLENT.

Very quaint relaxing theater. Kinda get the feeling of being in first class on a major airline (not Spirit of course). First class service and introduction from start to end. Wait service was on point and the food is pretty good for a theater. Excellent wine selection. Nice place for a date night.

The Kobe beef burger is off the chain! I absolutely love coming here. This is my second time here and I was greeted with "Welcome back" by Latashia. Excellent service, great food and delicious drinks!

I had a great time at the Aero Theatre(interesting history, it got the name from the original…read moreMcDonnell Douglas aerospace company owner). This theatre is one of 4 in LA that are part of the American Cinematheque, which I joined before the show. After having a great time seeing Life Stinks and a Lesley Anne Warren Q & A at their Los Feliz theatre, I was eager to attend this Bruce Dern retrospective and Q & A with Dern and director Mike Mendez. I didn't make it to all 4 movies. I caught the tail end of Silent Running and loved the finale Joan Baez song. I would say that's my favorite Bruce Dern movie. Then I saw the full "The Driver" about bank robbers starring Ryan O'Neal as a bank robber and Dern as a hardnosed and unorthodox detective. That was really good and never knew about that Dern movie. Then, they showed the Mike Mendez documentary, "Dernsie", biography on Dern which was great with some cool animated parts recounting amusing "Dernsies." After the movies, Dern was gracious enough to spend a full hour doing a live Q & A(Dern's 90 and still a working actor). Highly recommended.

Really cool venue, run by volunteers, with great programming! Cant wait to come back here. $14…read moretickets and $7 large popcorns are extremely reasonable, and the atmosphere (full of film nerds) is cool and welcoming if you're into that sort of thing. I also think it's really cool - in theory - that they show older movies in 70mm. Went with a friend to watch T2 and had a great time. The big downside is that the film quality was quite poor. I'm sure restorers and projectionists were doing the absolute best with what they had, and the 70mm print was simply very degraded. That said, there were frequent jumps where 2-5 seconds of movie would be cut out, consistent sound quality issues, and noticeable tearing and lines all over the picture. If you're seeing something in 70mm here, you're seeing it to appreciate the history and preservation quality of film, not because you expect the print to be high quality. Didn't bother me too much, but want to warn people who might come to a film screening expecting movie-theatre-quality visuals and sound. They're heroically doing the best with what they have, but at least for this print, what they had was very uneven. Still a great time, and excited to return to catch more of their programming!

My son has been wanting to see Devil Wears Prada 2 and the first one is one of his favorite movies of all time. Personally, I don't like that movie but I went along with him. Tickets are $25 each and they have a $4 parking garage, but we were lucky enough to get a free after-hour meter on the street. It's a nice place and it seems like comfort is their top priority. The recliner chairs are extremely comfy and come with a blanket in case you get cold. You know how movie theaters are always chilly. Once you get settled, you can press a button that sends an employee over to take your order. It's completely optional. We got one small popcorn (light butter, $6) which was big enough for both of us. I like this idea of having the option of ordering and dining at your seat while watching a movie, but the reality is a bit different. It's kind of annoying to see the employees coming and going when someone needs a refill or places a new order during the movie. You can hear them talking and they can even block your view. It's frustrating when you are trying to focus. With that being said, I think it has more pros than cons. There are bars and bathrooms located across the several floors and the one we went to was exceptionally clean. I probably wouldn't go out of my way to come back to this theatre. I prefer something more standard like AMC or Pacific Theatres (RIP!)...

My wife and I were members of iPic for years and have always utilized the nearby Westwood location…read more Although disheartened when the company entered bankruptcy, we were encouraged to find out it had been purchased and would continue operating as The Cinemas Los Angeles. Last week, we attended a showing of Toy Story 5 at the theater. We learned that not only is the new ownership not offering food service during the transition but intends to abandon that amenity altogether. This is among the most foolish decisions that could be made from a business perspective and will undoubtedly result in a total loss on the owners' investment. The building has a gigantic kitchen going to waste. The screens are small, and the ticket prices are high. The sole reason people have chosen this theater over the numerous options (e.g. Century City AMC) is its special quality of in-theater dining and expanded, up-scale fare. It is absurd that the owners are trying to spin this as an improvement, claiming this unique feature has been "retired in favor of elevated food & beverage offerings -- designed to enhance your cinematic experience by reducing service-related noise, light and other distractions." No amount of polishing to the menu at the tavern will offset the loss of clientele brought on by the abandonment of the in-theater dining option. The owners need only look to the onslaught of terrible reviews streaming in across Yelp and Google or the consensus of complaints in the Reddit community to understand the extent to which this misguided approach will devalue their investment. They will certainly be losing our business until this irrational new approach is reversed.
