They farm their reservations out even if you book on their website, which is deceiving. They double booked me because my bank card flagged them as fraud, so it booted me off the site but I didn't know why it booted me off at first (got the fraud alert about 15 minutes after I was booted off the site). I retried booking it on their website prior to receiving my fraud alert because I thought we just had bad signal or something or the other "official site" through Google was broken or something. But then in the end, even though my credit card said I was not charged and I didn't get a reservation confirmation or charge on my credit card (at first)..... you know it .....they double charged me (I got two confirmations and two charges well after I booked it the first try). We got to the hotel and told them what happened and then they told me I booked through a 3rd party and made me call some 800 number to fix it. FYI: if you decide to book with them, I would just call them to book it and ask them if it is being booked through a 3rd party. Anyway..... I called the number they gave me (they said it was Agoda and I know I didn't use Agoda because I don't know who that is and if I used Agoda it shows on Google that it's 1/2 the price I paid) and the people at that number (Agoda) said I didn't book with them and said I had to talk to the hotel and then we found a number from our email confirmation who at first also said we had to talk to the hotel but then my husband called and got a person that said they would talk to the manager at the hotel to get approval to refund us for the double charge. We went back to the desk and they said yeah the manager has to approve the refund (who of course wasn't there) So why the run around? Why didn't they just have the manager approve the refund and be done with it and the manager could work with who ever they farm their reservations out to. The charge on my card even says guest reservations Bay Landing....???? Why did I have to spend 30 minutes to an hour talking to their 3rd party reservation people that kept saying I had to talk to them at the hotel??? Kind of BS. My emails we got about us disputing the charge says Priceline and again I know I didn't use Priceline because their price was much less that what I paid. I first went to Google and chose Bay Landing Hotel official site and then after it glitched (due to the fraud alert) I went directly to their website and chose reservations tab. If you try both of these I see now that it redirects you to direct-book.com which I guess farms it out to whoever ..... Agoda? Priceline? Who knows because both of those names show up on some of our emails. We are supposedly getting a refund in 5-7 days. Agh!!! As far as the hotel: There are reviews about a great breakfast buffet.... Nope .... Not true. They had typical hotel eggs (frozen omelette style eggs I'm sure just heated up) and sausage patties and other continental breakfast items..... waffles, fruit (bananas, apples, canned peaches put in a serving container), breads, maybe oatmeal and cereal, etc. The good about the hotel: Beautiful view if you pay for a room with a view, which I did, the bed was pretty comfortable, it was quiet even though it's right across the water from SFO. They have coffee available in the lobby all the time, however the decaf was cold when I got some in the evening. Ice maker worked right by us on the 2nd floor. Room was spacious and had everything you need. The main lady at the front desk in the evening could use some customer service training. She wasn't totally rude but wasn't overly friendly. We asked if they had water where we could fill our water bottles she was like down the hall...... not all that politely..... it was drinking fountains.... Which we made work. I would give the good things a 3/5 rating but customer service and reservation process a 0/1 so I rate this hotel a 2.0. read more

A little dated decor, but nicely kept. Beds are pretty firm to sleep in as well. Bathrooms were very clean also. They also offer a free breakfast, which was well stocked, omelettes waffles and potatoes, everything you could want. There's also a restaurant next door if you're looking for some close by dinner. catching a flight the next day, so I found this hotel with free airport shuttle. Unfortunately, it didn't start running until 1 PM, which meant I had to wait an extra hour and a half. Then, I noticed the driver zoom past me at the bus stop, so I had to call the hotel to send him back. The hotel is right by the water, and you can see SFO from there. The room is spacious and really clean, and the staff were super friendly. Many Chinese restaurant next to the hotel. The next day after free breakfast I hop on the shuttle to SFO for DXB. Long story but let me just say the front desk saved my bacon. On top of that there's free parking always ample amounts and free breakfast. Also got an $11 credit at the snack bar with my Expedia booking. The rooms are a bit dated but clean and comfortable and the views of the bay and SFO are nice. They have double windows for the noise and you can open them slightly for fresh air off the bay. They have a shuttle to and from the airport but they take a long break from 12-3 and don't run all night. But there are plenty of transportation options nearby. A bus that goes to the airport stops about .2 miles from the hotel an easy flat walk for a $3 ride to the airport and drops you right at the Airtrain stop in the international airport. You can also walk to the Millbrae BART station and take that to the city or to the airport or anywhere it goes. There's a nice path that runs along the bay behind the hotel for an evening or morning stroll to take in tons of birds and other shore life. There are a few restaurants next door and across the way a Benihana if you want something fancy. read more

She calmly informs me that this class of reservation is rooms where there is a $40 charge for a roll away bed. I say, no, I need two real beds. Nice lobby area, friendly staff. Check-in was a breeze, quick & easy (5 mins). Room was great size. Bay views, king bed. I did a thorough bed check soon & bedding passed being clean with flying colors. Bathroom was clean. Shower is large with dual heads/handles, two can shower together. Water pressure is fantastic will burn u in shower so be careful & know how to use it b4 u get in lol. Free breakfast @ 6am! I was pleasantly surprised by my experience here. This hotel is very affordable for all the inclusions! Parking, wi-fi, breakfast, fitness center, and SFO shuttles are all complimentary! The concierge was super friendly too. I paid about $90 for a king bed room and it was overall fairly clean. The theme of the hotel is very old school, so don't expect anything fancy or modern. In our room, there was one stain on the carpet and some hair in the hair dryer... but overall, pretty clean. I do wish the bed sheets and pillows were more comfortable, but the bed itself was very soft and plush. Our room had a nice view of the San Francisco bay! There's also a sidewalk to have a walk by the water too. Shuttles to SFO would come very often and as early as 4 am! The shuttle is completely free and got me to my flight on time. The free breakfast (due to COVID) is simply a bagel, some fruit, and a Yoplait. KEEP IN MIND: They do charge you a $100 deposit during check-in to ensure that you do not smoke or have pets in the hotel room. It is later refunded after your stay. read more

The front desk is usually accommodating and the room conditions are good but not this time. I get to my room and the curtains are shredded and knotted and the window is facing Bayshore Blvd. I requested to be transferred to another room and the front desk didn't even try as he said there are 12-15 other guests that have yet to arrive. Bay Landing hotel provides everything you need for a short, hotel stay near SFO Airport. A few pros and cons though: Pros - * It's a 5-10 minute drive from the airport with a great view of the bay front. * It's quiet, has shuttle service, and the breakfast buffet is back in service. * Affordable (I booked through a 3rd party service and got a great rate so check those out) Cons- * Not too many restaurants around so if you flight arrives late in the evening, your only option is to get food delivered to the hotel * The hotel is a bit outdated, and felt like the room had a ton of dust as my allergies were acting up like crazy. Really this was the difference between giving the hotel 5 stars, so just be warned about that. Overall, it's a good choice if you need a place to stay before a flight. I probably wouldn't stay for longer periods of time, but for a 1 night stay it's perfect. I attached a picture of the shuttle service times as well since I was a bit confused on how it worked. I just ubered over to the hotel since I got in late, but typically the shuttle would pick you up at the airport hotel shuttle stop. I did take the shuttle to the airport which is a communal shuttle shared with other hotels, so give yourself plenty of time if you take that option read more

My best friend has never been to the West Coast and I wanted to give her the best experience and I'm so excited I decided on this hotel! Parking was easy and FREE! I walked in and immediately was greeted with an amazing smell and nice lobby music. Check in staff was very informative (although not the friendliest). Our double bed room was so clean and a good size for 3 adults and 2 children. The reservation said city view but I was pleasantly surprised we had an amazing view! With toddlers, the TV channel selection was the best I've had for a hotel. There was a mini fridge and a microwave too which made reheating fries a breeze. Breakfast was way better then expected. They had coffee, bagels, muffins, AND a to go bag with juice and snacks. I made the reservation through a 3rd party site and got an out of this world deal but I'm so happy to know this gem exists. Liked that the microwave/mini fridge/coffee area had an automatic light when you walked by on your way to the bathroom. Though it is located close to SFO, noise was not an issue. Stayed here for two nights mid week to get some work done in my room and pop out for meetings. Everything in the bay area is very expensive, including hotels, and it's so difficult to know if a place is any good. If you are looking for a safe, quiet, convenient location, this is a good choice. The rooms are large, and the hot water works. Staff is friendly and courteous and housekeeping does a great job. The rooms are clean and the parking is free. There is a public walkway along the bay behind the hotel that is very popular and safe. Things to know before you go... Bring every charging plug you own. Maybe even one of those plugs with multiple sockets in them because there are no USB ports in the room. There is one plug in a lamp and one of those old time telephone line ports for when we used to dial up in the previous century. The most convenient outlet in the room wasn't working, so I had to charge my phone and other devices where I could find outlets. This is an example of the dated decor and amenities at this hotel. The furniture all has scratches and the chairs are heavy and difficult to move. The wallpaper in the bathroom was beginning to peel away, and the close-up mirror on the wall was beginning to rust. The coffee Brand was Farmers, so plan ahead for your own coffee. There's a Starbucks down the street and a little café in the other direction if you need it. There's a lot to choose from at breakfast, but it would've been nice to have a protein that wasn't eggs. One of the mornings there were only eggs, and if you don't eat eggs... It was my birthday weekend and we wanted to enjoy the city but avoid expensive city hotels and overpriced parking. After looking around we decided to stay by the airport in Burlingame. Check in was easy and parking was free which was a bonus. We had a bay view room and it was beautiful. I sat outside on the bench and just watched the planes depart and come in. Surprisingly it wasn't to loud in our room with the double paned windows. The room is a bit dated but it has charm. The shower has dual shower heads and plenty of space with good pressure. My only complaint was the temperature and temp control. Once the heater kicked on it was way too hot and without the heater it was chilly. We couldn't find a happy medium. Also the outlets were hard to reach. You had to go under the tables to plug in your charger which shows the hotel age. Overall it was a nice stay though read more

The staff here was very friendly and parking here was an absolute plus. They have shuttles for you to take to the airport, but i don't understand why doesn't it take you to the Bart station. My family enjoyed their stay here and when you walk out you have a nice trail for you to enjoy the bay and it's views. First the good. It's quiet despite being right by the airport. The bed is comfortable. I slept well. Parking is easy and readily available without issue. They do warn about the high potential for break-in's all along that whole stretch of bay front hotels so I was leery of that. Fortunately, I was able to park right in the front of the hotel's front door. The hotel property is quite dated. The interior desperately needs an update. The window and shower curtains are old and torn. Towels are old and torn. The carpet needs a good steam cleaning. The windows need to be cleaned both externally and internally. The heating controls need to be simplified or have instructions available. I didn't have a bay view room, mostly because I didn't think I would be there long enough to enjoy it to justify the increased cost. With the window being so dirty, probably for the best anyways. The hotel breakfast looked good though I didn't eat due to having a fairly early flight. They did have to go options such as hard boiled eggs and fruit. Overall, the staff were pleasant. read more

-- KEY POINTS Date of Stay: September 28-29, 2019 Room 332, slight bay view and Benihana/Grand Harbor view We booked on a third party site (due to collecting points), but the BLH site is simple and easy to navigate Parking, WiFi and Continental Breakfast included Gym with Simple Equipment Coca-Cola Vending machines by Ice Dispensers Alongside the bay with a view of the airplanes leaving SFO is the quaint, out-dated but very pleasant, Bay Landing Hotel. We booked here as it was within a pleasant walking distance to a wedding we attended at Grand Harbor Dim Sum, which is right next to Benihana. Check in is at 1500, and check out is a 1200noon. We arrived around 1700. Parking was not packed but I can see it filling up on a busy day. The check-in was quick and simple, the attendant's name tag read "trainee". She looked up our reservation, asked our the color and make of our vehicle and then provided us the information regarding WiFi and breakfast. Luggage carts available if necessary, and there were 3 different elevators that we used. Included Breakfast Buffet from 0600-1030 consisted of: oatmeal, rice, sausage patties, omelettes, hash browns, cereal (flakes/fruit loops), yogurts, puddings, jellos, pastries (mini muffins, scones), hard boiled eggs, waffle maker. -- But go early because it tends to run out. We got downstairs around 0930 and they were out of omelettes and hash browns, and we didn't stay to see if they restocked, we just brought our food to our room. The room has all the basic amenities, and then some. Walking into room 332, to the left were the mirrored closet doors which housed the ironing board, iron, hangers and plastic laundry/dry clean bags. Then to the right was is the restroom, which has a pleasant sized tub.. and next to that is a mini fridge, coffee machine, ice bucket and microwave. Our room had a king size bed, reading chair with lamp, desk with two chairs including letter writing material, and a decent sized LG tv above the dresser. We did have a slight issue with the light switch sensor in the restroom for about a minute. I'm guess it's energy saving and has a sensor - but it's green light was not lighting up and not allowing us to turn on the light. Oh, and the door to the restroom is heavy, so we propped it open with the luggage stand. But other than that, water pressure was good and tub/sink drains were emptying nicely. The bathroom also has one of the wall mirrors on an arm that has a magnified side! The bed was comfortable, a little squeaky when you get onto the bed. Pillows are small but do their job. And it was nice having light switches within reach of either side of the bed. And surprisingly, you do not hear the noise of the airplanes leaving and landing at SFO! Overall, I was very pleased with our stay. I rarely post. This will be my go-to hotel in burlingame in San Francisco. Great value. Great full hot breakfast. This was lower than nearby chain hotels. Best part, no parking fee. The hotel receptionists are the best. I love it when they say yes to your requests. Free shuttle to airport. I was allowed to check out late at 2 pm since our flight was 450p.
