Bay Demolition just finished a project at my house and I am very happy with the results. I had a number of very large rocks (hundreds of pounds) that I needed removed from my backyard. One was a huge decorative rock that was supported by cinderblocks. I had a bunch of others forming some steps from my desk up to my patio. I needed a fountain removed (that was formed from cinderblocks), and the rocks removed that formed the decorative facing for a retaining wall. When speaking with hardscaping companies, none would touch this job with a 10-foot pole because of the challenges of removing these things given the limited access to my backyard. So I decided to call someone who specialized in demolition and am very glad I did. Getting a quote was easy and it was very competitive. The team arrived as scheduled and got the job done in two days (I was quoted 2-4 days). The workers were very respectful of my property and were careful in their demotion to not damage anything not being removed. They were very friendly and they cleaned up nicely. Very helpful and professional. I called them at 6:00 p.m. and they had it removed by 10:00 a.m. the next day. They were even a few minutes early which was nice. Workers were very nice and smiley. This in my opinion shows that they have a great employer. I had them remove a large shed that had been built by a previous tenant that turned into a home for possoms and a stray cat. They were very nice to empty the contents of the shed where I had asked and cleaned up and removed everything nicely. Five stars all around! We used Bay Demolition to demolish a 1400 sq. ft guest house in our backyard, including its concrete slab foundation. From our first meeting, Henrique was knowledgeable, transparent, accommodating and offered a detailed explanation for how the work would be completed. Our local jurisdiction required a demolition permit. Henrique and Vanessa were very helpful in securing this permit. Our guest house was built directly against the property line on three sides of the building. Because of this, the majority of the demolition was done by hand to ensure that the neighboring properties would not be damaged. The crew was very careful throughout the entire process. They arrived on time, worked diligently, and were always respectful of our space. A special shout-out to the excavator operator. The final wall to be removed was concrete, and against our neighbor's property. He took it apart with incredible skill and precision. I was nervous it would fall into their yard, but he managed to remove the entire wall, over 75 feet, without a single block of concrete falling into their space. We couldn't be happier with the outcome of this project and the service we received. If we ever need demolition/hauling services in the future, we will call Henrique first. (grinds are marked with the letter "G" and are a maximum of 5 ft wide ) Cleanup and removal of all concrete debris. They gave me a reasonable estimate, arrived on time and did a GREAT job. They worked hard and cleaned up well. They saved me money by offering to hand grind instead of renting a large grinding machine. They even hauled away some trash (bricks and old wood fencing) at no extra cost. The work was approved by San Jose City Trees and Sidewalks.
