We have a small backyard, which was mostly covered by a large concrete slab (approx 290 sqft) that was approx 4" thick. Our side yard was only 36" wide, so large equipment (ie. a bobcat) wouldn't be able to get to the backyard. After getting several quotes, Fernando's quote was the most reasonable - in some cases, 33% cheaper than other quotes. I was able to schedule to have them come in within the next week. They are punctual and fast. Work was estimated to start at 9am and finish at 4pm. They rang the doorbell at 9 on the dot and completed the work by 2pm. This isn't some random small company renting trucks and equipment...they rolled up with their legit demo truck and a bobcat. Bobcat was staged in the driveway, so that they can bring concrete debris to the bobcat via wheelbarrow, and then used the bobcat to lift the debris into their truck. I'm extremely happy now that we have a clean slate for landscaping and more plants!! I definitely recommend Costa Demo!!! read more

I happen to be doing some backyard remodeling ( new pavers and pergola etc) and found CD by luck . After speaking with Fernando initially, I felt very comfortable with his demeanor. CD was not the cheapest in fact but I wanted the work done right and the work to start as agreed. And as promised, Fernando and his crew showed up! In my front court yard, the crew forgot to take out the cement under the pavers but Tulio promptly rescheduled for a day later and everything went as smooth as you can expect. I also wanted a few old items dumped and Fernando just charged me a nominal fee to remove. Fernando was so cool he even dump a few other items for me without any additional charge. The only bummer was the demo guy chipped a small corner of my stucco in the front of my house in the courtyard and Tulio will return with a bit of stucco patch I'm sure he will fix. It was a great experience with Fernando and Jonathan's team. I had a few dirt piles left from another job all over places in my back and front yard. They came on Wednesday April 5th to see the job site and started the work the very next day and finished up on Saturday morning. Originally they planned to use 3ft bobcat to get the dirt from the back yard as my fence gate is only 4ft wide. Since their bobcat is broken so they only had 7ft bobcat which can pick up dirt in the front yard. The back yard dirt was taken out by hand using their wheelbarrow--they brought another guy for a day to get this part of job done. Job completed as what I had expected. Great people. I also hired them to demo my driveway concrete and dirt. Backfilling with base rock is included. Jonathan compacted the first half of base rock using my plate compactor and then fill the 2nd half of base rock. They cleaned up the job site before they left everyday.. yes everyday. I've worked with many contractors, my father having been one of them, and it's not often that I've been impressed. But, Tulio and his team are efficient, on time, and extremely competitive when it comes to pricing. I already had some demo work done by another guy, which only made me wish that I had hired Costa Demolition in the first place. I also learned that they lay down hardscapes, but I had already committed with another landscaper. Tulio, who is mild mannered, kind, and also professional, did not take offense nor was ever pushy. When I asked for a couple of other jobs on the property, in addition to demoing the driveway and walkway, he did not hesitate and still quoted way more reasonably.
