I worked with Ka-Yi in Bay Apex. I highly recommend her as she goes above and beyond for her service. To help you see the difference, I will compare my experience with her with my typical experience. 1.) Quick: Closing process usually takes at least 1 month, and more so when you refinance. Ka-yi makes it happen in 2 weeks. 2.) Attentive: It usually takes a while for the lender to get back to you on questions, especially during crazy time like this where everyone is refinancing. Ka-yi stays very on top of things and she will respond to you quickly, sometimes even at weekends, or later in the evening. I appreciate the attentiveness. 3.) More choices: An advantage of working with her is she can give you several choices on lenders that work best with your situation, whereas individual banks dont give you much choice at all. Prior to making with Ka-yi, I have no idea about online lender and I am surprised at how quick, efficient, and much less fees compared to what a normal bank would charge me. 4.) Less fees: She genuinely helps you to save money and fees, which I find to be a very very rare quality in a lender. 5.) Honest and open: She breaks it down for you very well, and is very detailed. In the beginning, I didnt go for 30-year fixed, and she actually told me quite honestly if I am looking for 7/1 ARM I can find better rates elsewhere. Ka-Yi Ho was the agent helped me to get the loan for my new home. I was absolutely happy about the whole experience. It was really nice to work with her and she was very patient, professional and knowledgable. I heard a lot of stories about the pain in the loan process, including asking for ridiculous documents one or two days before closing date, saying close on time but actually can not make it. I did feel worried when the closing date was approaching. There seems to be some extra processes that need to be addressed because it's a newly constructed home, even the builder told me It will be a very challenging task for her. But Ka-Yi nailed it and did pretty nicely. She explained everything very well, even when it's very late at night or when she was on vocation. And yes we made it. Ka-Yi was there helping me whenever I had questions, and responded fast. Signing documents, lock rate, actively helping me pinging the lender, builder and Escrow, everything went pretty smoothly. Ka-Yi also helped me get a pretty decent rate. The lender she was working with was flexible, also react pretty fast too. I would give more than 5 stars if I can, and I feel lucky that I met Ka-Yi and asked for help on loan. I've refinanced my condo once before and I wasn't looking forward to it this time. My last one had was tons of paperwork, email, office visits, phone calls, fees, and last-minute changes. Thankfully, Ka-Yi definitely has this down to a streamlined system. She's savvy with the business as well as current technology (I've had loan and real estate agents print out mountains of paper for me that could have been easily sent digitally. No thanks to that! Save some trees, please) This all helped things move along quickly without a lot of unneeded correspondence. She was quick to answer questions and offered great suggestions that saved me a lot, such as paying slightly more principal to qualify for a much better rate. She even saved me some late fees by reminding me my property tax was due which I had forgotten! All the services such as appraisal and mobile-notary (conveniently sent to my house for signing) were completely handled for me and I just needed to pick the dates, with which which they were very flexible.
