My boyfriend Alex recently went through a mortgage refi, and it was a smooth process, THANKS TO JOE ADAMSON! As a first time homeowner, Alex was going through a very stressful time not knowing where to begin or what to expect... but Joe was extremely helpful and patient with Alex, especially with explaining the entire process to him. He was always responsive with emails and phone calls, and even called Alex from time to time to check up on him and see how he was doing. The process took a while, but Joe got the job done. My boyfriend is not one to write YELP reviews, but he asked me to write this review on his behalf because he TRULY believes Joe is great at what he does. If you are looking for someone to guide you in the right direction, We HIGHLY recommend working with him! read more

I had my first consultation with Joe Adamson yesterday. It was wonderful. I am just thinking of buying my first property, so naturally, I had a lot of questions. I didn't have to bring much to the meeting, but by the end, I had a clear understanding of: my credit report and everything related to it (what's great, what's less than great, what looks like a problem but really isn't), my personal balance sheet (what a lender will think about my income and my liabilities), what we'll be able to do to mitigate some things when the time comes to apply, and the size of the mortgage I'd qualify for. Joe also advised me on average timelines and order of steps involved in buying a home, as well as costs of ownership. I now feel armed with knowledge and ready to proceed, and look forward to working with Joe in the future. read more

If I could give Mortgage Magic (MM), Doug Jones and his team 10 stars, I would. My husband's family has known Mr. Jones for over 20 years now. MM helped his parents and two older brothers purchase their homes. In 2011, MM helped my husband purchase his first home in the Fremont area. We've lived there for 5 years now and love our community. Since I was not very involved with the purchase of our first home, I had only heard of Mr. Jones' professionalism. This time around, I got to experience it first hand when my husband and I decided to purchase an investment property in the San Fernando Valley. Mr. Jones went above and beyond to help us with this purchase. I will share that my husband and I were committed to purchasing a home down in the Valley in order to help my parents live closer to family and my siblings. They were living out in Palmdale, CA but were not very happy. From the get go, Mr. Jones demonstrated an upmost professionalism and work ethic. The difficulty with the purchase involved the timing and location. Mr. Jones and MM were in the Bay but we wanted to purchase in LA. But that didn't stop Mr. Jones. He came down to visit some homes with my husband and me. He called and dealt with some pretty unprofessional people just to ensure we got the best deal. He even came down with his wonderful wife, Trudy, to LA despite being ill in order to be present the day of a property inspection. Boy are we glad he was there! He was honest about the condition of the property; it wasn't worth our time. After 3 failed offers, we finally found the perfect home. Mr. Jones and MM were prompt, responsive, and drove down to look at the property when my husband and I couldn't due to our work schedule. Some may think we are crazy, but we didn't even look at the property in person before purchasing! But that's because our family in LA had seen it and because we had trust in Mr. Jones and his team to do right by us. And right by us they did. We are so incredibly blessed with our new home down in LA. It's been about 2 months now and my parents live comfortably. My father was so impressed with Mr. Jones that he decided to retain his services in order to sell his home in Palmdale and move back to the Valley into the home we had just purchased. Let me tell you a little about my father. Please excuse my oversharing but this is a man who lost his home to a foreclosure in 2008 during the mortgage crisis. This is a man who was priced out of the Valley and had to move out to high desert area in order to own a home. My father, a very kind man, doesn't trust just anyone because of his experiences with shady real estate agents. But my father saw the quality and professionalism in Mr. Jones. My father is a monolingual Spanish speaker, and Mr. Jones made sure that someone who spoke Spanish was in constant communication with my father. This is what it's all about ladies and gentlemen: Providing access and quality services to everyone regardless of language, race and creed. Beyond all of this, Mr. Jones and his team have shown that they are simply high quality human beings. I write this review today from the comfort of my home in the Valley, where I now get to see my parents living happily and close to our extended family. We are just days away from closing on the sale of my father's home and we couldn't be happier. We are truly blessed to know Mr. Jones and his team at MM. Please don't hesitate to reach out in case you have questions about my experience. I can't write more because this review is already longer than most according to Yelp. But rest assured that you are in good hands with Mr. Jones and his team at Mortgage Magic. My family and I owe them a great deal. Thank you, Doug and Mortgage Magic for all that you have done for us. read more

I have known Doug Jones for many years, he is very professional and always looking out for the client's best interest. He and his team are organized, fast, and easy to work with. Our most recent experience involved an inherited home, an estate trust, and a refinance. We were already feeling a lot of stress due to the loss of a family member, but Doug set us at ease, worked the numbers, and instilled confidence that things were going to work out well. The process was fast, easy (much of it is done online), and stress free. Doug has a great sense of humor and really showed that he cared for us. The final loan terms were simply amazing. I highly recommend Mortgage Magic, there is nobody better. read more

Wendy Wong of Mortgage Magic is one of the best mortgage person I've ever worked with. We've bought and sold plenty of houses before but this time, it's different. It's the pit bottom of the mortgage crisis and I no longer have a full-time job. I'm an entrepreneur/business owner now and it has never been so difficult to get a loan in my entire live. We went to at least 5 different mortgage firm and none of them came through for us. Wendy was the only one who did it and more. The rates are outstanding and she really made sure we got all the necessary components we needed. Time and money wasn't on our side and we refinanced on 3.7%, which was an out-of-this-world rate. Wendy, thank you!!! - Michael Soo read more

Heather Kulp deserves a 10! Not only because that is her level of professionalism and "can do attitude" even when things seems impossible but because she made true magic with our bridge loan. Two loans in one, that had every possible thing that could go wrong come up yet she made it all happen! She handled many hoops and guided us on how to jump over them and keep pushing through. We had a contingency that could have cost us a fortune and I am SOOOOooooo HAPPY we got into contract on both properties closing our old house and moving into our brand new home almost simultaneously. Best of all, Heather's MAGICAL work ethic resulted in cutting down much of the out of pocket expenses we would have had to pay had this bridge not been possible!!! read more

If you want a painless and pleasant mortgage transaction, then Nancy Pham-Nguyen is the right agent for you. She has helped my family with two refinances in this tough, volatile real estate market. Nancy really delivers on client service - she's been extremely diligent, honest & thorough from start to finish. From endlessly searching the best rates, guiding/explaining paperwork to assisting all the way through the Title process, Nancy always has her client's best interest in mind. With Nancy on our side, we never have to worry about the refinancing process. We get excellent rates with quick, honest & friendly service. read more

Very well recommended. I needed to refinance an investment property and Joe at Mortgage Magic came through. He undercut the several quotes I got from larger banks like Bank of America, Wells Fargo and Chase as well as from two private brokers by thousands. There was no bait and switch on the rates and an easy quote right up front so I knew how much it was going to cost to close. I almost didn't trust him at first because it seemed too easy, but having gone through the process, I can say that it was just that easy and I would use them again. Joe was very responsive to all my contacts and really knew the ins and outs of the trade. Having several investment properties in different legal entities can be off-putting for most banks and some brokers. It was nothing he hadn't seen before and the process was really easy. I recommend Mortgage Magic for anyone considering financing for real estate in California. read more

I am a veteran home owner & have worked with many mortgage companies over the last 35 years. None of the past companies are in the same league as Mortgage Magic. My wife & I wanted to consolidate debts & improve our home while reducing our monthly payments. Joe Adamson showed us a number of options which helped us accomplish all of our objectives. Joe is very knowledgeable & patient. He helped us through the steps needed so we could close on time to meet some important deadlines. I have to say, I was very nervous buying my first home. I heard stories that you have to sign a billion pieces of paper, send a ton of stuff either by email or snail mail, call a hundred people every day, and then get a realtor to help you find a house. I decided to suck it up and do it. The first person I called was Mortgage Magic. Looking on their site, I picked Joe Adamson, there was something about his face that gave me a feeling like I could trust him, not to mention his extension was 123, which I found neat. He answered his phone right away and after chatting for only a few minutes, I knew I had picked right. He explained everything I needed or wanted to know in great detail and would always have an awesome story to back it up and help clarify. Whether it was emails, phone calls, or in person meetings, I was always well informed with everything going on. I know this may seem weird, but these guys have a passion for mortgages, and that puts them above all others. As I said before, I was nervous with this being my first home, but once Joe and Mortgage Magic took the reigns, everything went smooth and streamlined. Even when the broker was on vacation, he was still able to help me out. Joe handled everything and the work I had to do in order to get my loan was so minimal, it was amazing. A couple phone calls, a few emails, and a few signatures and I was done. Not only was it fast and simple, but being who I am, I like to know what is going on and make sure I am getting the best options. Every time I asked a question, I would get a response in extreme detail, which showed me that even though I asked, Mortgage Magic had already done the best thing. Long story short, i'd give Mortgage Magic 6 starts if I could. Fast, easy, and informative. I would recommend Mortgage Magic to ANYONE who wants mortgage help. If you want someone who is not there to just, get the job done, but instead do it right, call these guys!! read more

My fiance and I were first time home buyers purchasing a home about 80 miles from where we had currently lived. Our realtor, who works with several mortgage brokers, said she was top notch. I highly recommend her services. read more

I had a great experience working with Nancy Pham-Nguyen. She helped me refinance my mortgage, buy a house, and sell a house. You can definitely count on her for your real estate needs. I had been putting off refinancing my loan even though the interest rates have been dropping. When I finally got in touch with Nancy, she explained the process to me very clearly and helped me get all my documents in order. She helped make the whole process very smooth and I ended up saving a lot of money. Later, I decided I wanted to buy a different house so I got in touch with Nancy again. She explained many of the strategies and tactics needed to buy a house in this super competitive market. She also gave me a lot of valuable tips on things to look for when considering a house. Once I figured out what house I wanted to buy, she helped me prepare the offer and the counteroffer. Thanks to her help, I was able to buy my house on the first try. Buying a house in today's market is near impossible, but Nancy made it relatively easy by explaining every step to me, strategizing the offer price, and helping prepare all the paperwork. Finally, when I wanted to sell my old house I knew I could count on Nancy. She helped me through the preparation process such as getting my house cleaned and staged. Nancy also did a great job organizing the open house and talking to all the people and agents that came by. She kept me up to date with all the offers that I received, and my house ended up selling at a record price in the neighborhood. Nancy really went the extra mile to deliver excellent service. With her help, everything went smoothly and earned/saved me a lot of money. read more

I Just wanted to say I was looking up mortgage brokers on yelp when my husband and I started this process in OCT. I found the company through yelp and decided to give them a try and make an appointment to discuss our options for a home loan. I called and spoke with Doug, he was so helpful and even agreed to meet with us on a Saturday since my husband and I work opposite shifts. We met with Doug and he explained everything to us in detail. We really had no idea how to get a loan... or how the buying process worked except for the research we did before the meeting. He explained so much more then we knew and answered every question we had and really made us feel comfortable moving forward with his company and the process of buying a home. He took us to see many homes and was wonderful during the offer/negotiation process. He got us a fair price and really bent over backwards making sure this would happen for the home we really wanted. If it wasn't for Doug I can honestly say we would not be in the home we are today. We moved into our home Dec 23rd. We also had the pleasure to work with Gloria and Marc through our process and they were outstanding as well. If we need anything in the future for mortgage needs we will only do business with this company. We had the best experience possible. They made buying a home as stress free as possible. Hands down they have my business for life. The Sinclairs read more

Doug, Trudy, Gloria and Jean Marc are absolutely amazing! As first time home buyers, I'm glad we found Doug and company. Trust me Doug has seen it all and is prepared for any hiccups that might arise. Doug and company went out of their way to ensure we understood everything that was going on, ensured we got locked in to a rate that was the best fit for us. Gloria is a loan expert and can tell you exactly what the banks are looking for and what you could expect. Gloria's experience held true to value once we were in escrow and were pressured to close in 20 days per the sellers request. I've already referred Doug to a couple friends who are in the market and would not hesitate to share my experience with anyone who brings up home buying or selling! Joe Adamson and his team over at Mortgage Magic are the best! Thanks to Joe, my girlfriend and I pulled off a small miracle and managed to get an FHA loan in about a month for a cute house in San Jose near Santa Teresa for a great price. Being a first time home buyer, we both had a ton of questions and the process is incredibly intimidating. Joe was there every step of the way. He went BEYOND above and beyond for the both of us. He worked late hours, answered every last question we had in amazing detail, and would even go so far as to explain the history of the particular procedure and why it was the way it was. It's actually really difficult to describe just how far out of his way he went and how safe he made us feel during the process. Buying a house is a massive undertaking and we always felt like Joe was working for us, not his own bottom line and in the end, our trust was well placed. We have quite a few friends who are at the stage in their lives where they are house hunting and I have recommended Joe to all of them and will continue to do so in the future. I recommend him to anybody. read more

I worked with Doug and his associate, Gloria, on a refi and a then a HELOC. The refi had some complications because my parents actually owned the home and I had been living there for a few years. We had some difficulty with the HELOC as well because I have three scores and different banks do different income calculations and accept different scores. I have scores of mid 600s, high 600s, and mid 700s. In both cases, Doug did a great job. He is very responsive both by phone and email. Also, he was always available to meet me to explain stuff or strategize on next moves. I had a target for the HELOC which I wanted to reach because I want to do a remodel on the house. We worked together and I was able to reach my target. You really have to go to several different banks and shop around. Doug did this very well.
