Unprofessional service When they arrived, they did not use…read moresuitable packaging etc which lead to 7 items of furniture being damaged in the move (not all of this was flat pack furniture some being from Barker and Stonehouse which was damaged) The damaged flat pack furniture was not due to being flat pack and not going back correctly, it was damaged due to poor handling and assembling After many times contacting back and forth they sent someone out to try to fix the problem with white nail varnish which we wouldn't not accept this was a suitable repair. They then refused to do anything and we proceeded to take them to the small claims court We went to small claims where we were awarded compensation for the damaged furniture. There is a clause in paperwork to say they would only pay £40 for each item of furniture damaged - lucky we were not given this paperwork by P&M movers so received more than the £40 per item. After the claim was successful, they only paid half the amount on time. From our experience we will not be using this company again as they did not follow their own procedures set out in the offer letter and did not carry out a professional service

Upon arriving the next day the apartment was packed and I noted to my partner that it felt like a work of art, the boxes were so beautifully arranged and structured. The move was a challenging one with a lot of equipment and cases being moved into a four storey home, the chaps were so mannerly, well thought-out, approachable and particularly careful with all our assets during the move. Well, let's look at AMS Man and Van's glimpse into my personal life. They moved me into Withington with a boy who was horribly wrong for me. Drama. When that predictably hit the fan, they moved me out into my own little place by myself. And last weekend, they moved my husband-to-be and me from our respective flats we were keeping on into our lovely, amazing new Ancoats apartment. And they're just ruddy brilliant. I wouldn't trust anyone else with the ins and outs of what's going on in ELH World. So first of all I hate moving, and (I always say this) I don't plan to do so again for a few years. No matter how well organised you are, it's always stressful. I can't think of anyone in the world who likes it. But these guys take at least 50% of the pressure off, and boy did they have a job that day. First stop was Fallowfield, where they brought all my stuff to us, unloaded it into our new place, then they hotfooted it to City Road East and did the same with Chris's stuff. This move included furniture, bags of clothes, heavy electric goods, the whole shebang. They had all the relevant equipment to make the move easier, they started at 8.30am and were done by early afternoon, and all we then had to do was decide where all our stuff went. Simples. Flexible, friendly, great prices, and they handle your stuff with care. Awesome guys. I'll definitely be giving them a call next time I move, which hopefully shan't be for a looooong time.

The actual move was quick and painless, a few large items got wrapped in blankets to protect it and they were unfazed by the small lifts they had to use.
