Unprofessional service When they arrived, they did not use…read moresuitable packaging etc which lead to 7 items of furniture being damaged in the move (not all of this was flat pack furniture some being from Barker and Stonehouse which was damaged) The damaged flat pack furniture was not due to being flat pack and not going back correctly, it was damaged due to poor handling and assembling After many times contacting back and forth they sent someone out to try to fix the problem with white nail varnish which we wouldn't not accept this was a suitable repair. They then refused to do anything and we proceeded to take them to the small claims court We went to small claims where we were awarded compensation for the damaged furniture. There is a clause in paperwork to say they would only pay £40 for each item of furniture damaged - lucky we were not given this paperwork by P&M movers so received more than the £40 per item. After the claim was successful, they only paid half the amount on time. From our experience we will not be using this company again as they did not follow their own procedures set out in the offer letter and did not carry out a professional service

We have just had the worst experience from this company . we entered into a contract with them in…read moregood faith. It became more and more obvious that they were unable to complete the removal satisfactorily. They took our money and proceeded to take 4 attempts at transporting our house contents over a distance of half a mile. They placed our furniture into storage after stating that it would only be for one day and two nights In actual fact our furniture was stored over a whole weekend. Instead of it being stored from thursday to Saturday it was stored until the Monday, no discussion of extra payment for storage was mentioned. It transpired that this particular storage facility is closed for the weekend. We therefore, were unable to obtain our entire house contents until the Monday. Apart from the storage mishap each pick up time was missed by a number of hours. On the day of completion they did not turn up until 6.30 pm. My husband is a vulnerable person who suffers from advanced parkinson's, he was made to pay an extra storage charge of over £1000.00 otherwise the team of workers could not complete the job. My husband had to travel to the bank to arrange payment. A ballustrade was damaged in our old property our fridge freezer was scratched and the stair carpet in both properties had muddy marks . In total we paid over £3000.00 for a service which was well below expectations. The overall management of the removal was appalling with misinformation about times and storage arrangements from start to finish. The upset was considerable not only to my husband and myself but also to our purchasers who had to wait for us to remove the internal and external contents of our property for 2 days. We have heard nothing from baxters.

At a charge £100 we thought that this would be, for them, quite lucrative in that there were almost new and unused items such as flat screen TV, Washer, unused oven/hob,large fridge freezer etc etc. As we are isolating/sheltering we left them to it. When we returned the bungalow was a real mess. There were ornaments/lamps etc all over the floor and surfaces and cupboards unemptied. They had only grabbed the things they could sell - apart from the clothes that we'd already bagged up for them! The bed was removed but the bedding was strewn all over the floor. The little outhouse had not been touched, bar things they could sell on. We now have to pay someone else to do the job that they promised. NOT IMPRESSED. At times like this the last thing one needs is lies to get a job and not do as promised. DO NOT use this firm.
