The last few times I've come here, I have not been as dazzled with the service as in the past. I recently came in to have my low tire pressure lights checked out. I was quoted an hour, which seemed long, but ended up waiting over two hours. No one came out to tell me they were running behind or apologize. Nobody likes waiting, but when you wait significantly longer than expected, it isn't a good start to your day. Frustrating.

I need to get something off my chest: I cannot endorse the services at Baxter West Dodge. Their staff is careless when it comes to keeping your vehicle safe, and I encourage you to look elsewhere for a more capable and thoughtful car dealership. On Thursday, July 2nd, I received a call from Baxter about someone breaking into my prized 2016 Ford Mustang. I left it in their care for some repairs, believing they would take every precaution to keep my car safe. After receiving that call, I immediately stopped what I was doing and headed straight to Baxter. After arriving and inspecting my car, I noticed suspicious elements break-in. No glass was broken, and the locks were not tampered with; it was clearly left unlocked. It appeared that someone easily "broke into" my car, damaged my AC controls, and stole my amps and stereo system in my trunk. A service representative and a mechanic attempted to explain their fault away, claiming that a break-in on Baxter's property was equivalent to a break-in at a Walmart parking lot. But it doesn't take an expert to realize that's just not true. A respectable dealership like Baxter West Dodge should ensure that your vehicle is cared for and repaired when left on their premises, unlike at a Walmart, where you park, buy what you need, and leave, all within an hour. This response was completely inappropriate and apathetic. I asked for the manager, Ronnie Menicucci, hoping he would provide better customer service and answers. Unfortunately, Baxter seems to only employ indifferent people who don't take responsibility for the actions of their business. The service representative, mechanic, and Ronnie all urged me to file this under my insurance, even though they are clearly at fault for this break-in. Ronnie later called, starting our conversation with a bad attitude. I asked Ronnie if they have cameras on the premises, but he admitted that the cameras at Baxter West Dodge are fake, saying that Baxter is "working on that." He also said, "Do you really think we can afford to pay for any incidents after hours?" During the call, Ronnie suggested that someone broke into my car with a slim jim, but that couldn't have been the case. After the service work was completed, I noticed a layer of dust on the car that showed no struggle or an attempt at breaking in, so it's clear that no one tampered with my car to get in: it had to have been unlocked. But it doesn't end there. The day of the break in, Baxter called me after filing a police report, not before. They did this because they didn't want me talking with the police. They knew that the car was not tampered with and the door was unlocked. I want to share my experience at Baxter West Dodge and their staff because I don't want you to go through the same issues I went through. I urge you to not support them, and instead support a business that cares about their customers.

Wow, what a great experience. All I can say is...Scott Orrick is the car salesman you've always hoped for, but never believed in. He's honest, transparent, does the research/legwork for you ahead of time, and even willing to call and check in on his day off. I walked into Baxter Ford and within an hour and a half, the paperwork to my beautiful new Subaru Forester were signed, sealed, and delivered. Thank you Scott - and thank you Baxter Ford - for what felt like the royal treatment.

    What a beauty!

My experience with Woodhouse Hyundai has been a disaster from start to finish…read more On July 7, 2025, I brought my 2020 Hyundai Sonata Limited to Woodhouse Hyundai for a manufacturer recall repair. The vehicle was fully functional when I dropped it off. While the car was in the dealership's custody, a cleaning vendor operating on their lot backed into it and caused severe structural damage, ultimately totaling the vehicle. This happened while the dealership had possession and control of the car. What followed was months of confusion, poor communication, and misleading information. Woodhouse told me a cleaning company was responsible but refused to identify the vendor despite repeated requests. I was later contacted by an insurance company regarding the loss and eventually received valuation reports. During this entire period, I continued making loan payments on a vehicle that had already been destroyed while sitting on their lot. In December, Woodhouse issued me a check for $2,764.93 drawn from their own corporate account and represented it as money coming from the at-fault party. What they did not clearly disclose was that the back of the check contained restrictive language attempting to release Woodhouse from liability if I endorsed it. There was no separate settlement agreement explaining this. I did not accept the check. The dealership also repossessed the loaner vehicle they had provided, leaving me without transportation. Meanwhile, the insurance process resulted in approximately $16,971 being paid to my lender to satisfy the loan, but that did not come close to covering the actual financial loss and months of disruption caused by this situation. To make matters worse, Woodhouse told both me and the Nebraska Attorney General's Consumer Affairs Division that I had received "over retail" for my vehicle, which was simply not true. The core issue is straightforward: My vehicle was destroyed while in Woodhouse Hyundai's custody, and the way the dealership handled the aftermath was opaque, misleading, and incredibly frustrating. If you choose to do business here, document everything and make sure you fully understand any paperwork or payments presented to you. A dealership should take responsibility when a customer's vehicle is damaged on their property. That accountability was missing here.

Update- in getting ready to get my plates, noticed that things were off. Watch out for the finance guys, with the exception of Matt. We were sold an additional warranty package after it was explained that Chevy know has a limited warranty blah blah blah. We were also sold gap insurance, me being an agent I stated I could add that to my policy. Finance guy then went onto confirm coverage and how insurance pays on their gap. Hmm guys he isn't licensed to confirm coverage, nonono!! Then to find out my taxes were figured at 5 2 instead of 5.5. After reaching out and Matt helping me, we were able to cancel the extended warranty and gap, and dealership issued a check for the missing amount of my taxes, have yet to receive this. Things didn't sit well so reach out to Andy Wednesday, explained things just didn't sit well. He was supposed to contact me before the end of the day, hmm nope and today is Friday. I did call on Thursday 2x's and was put on hold for 5 minutes. Not ok

Beware of "Payment Packing" at Gregg Young Chevrolet (and how I saved $6,000)…read more Sharing a recent experience at Gregg Young Chevrolet that almost cost me over $6,000. I'm posting this so you can protect yourselves. When I purchased a 2026 Silverado, the finance office "snuck" a third-party warranty (EG Assurance/Ethos) into my contract for $5,420. They never mentioned the price or told me an Official Chevrolet factory warranty existed for $3,000 less. They simply manipulated the numbers to hit the monthly payment I asked for, a deceptive tactic called "Payment Packing." The Lesson: Always review your itemized contract! I found the $5,420 charge and confronted the Sales Manager. Because I went back within 24 hours, they were forced to redo my contract. My monthly payment dropped from $503 down to $401. That's $102 a month I would have been paying for a marked-up third-party product. Important Advice for your next purchase: Demand Manufacturer Warranties: Do not just accept a "Premium" plan. Ask for the Official Chevrolet Protection Plan (or Ford/GMC). Dealers push 3rd-party brands because they make more profit, but the factory plan is better and cheaper. Buy the Warranty "On the Side": You don't have to finance the warranty into your car loan! I am now purchasing an official manufacturer warranty separately from a high-volume dealer. Not only is it nearly $3,000 cheaper, but it also provides 2 EXTRA years of coverage and 30,000 MORE miles than the third-party plan the dealer snuck in. By paying for it separately (or rolling it into a low-rate refinance), I'm also avoiding 5 years of interest on a marked-up price. Know the Law: In Nebraska, you have a 30-day "free-look" period to cancel service contracts for a 100% refund. If a dealer sneaks one in, go back and demand it be removed. Don't let them work the numbers to "fit your payment" while hiding the true cost. Stay sharp!

Getting a verbal agreement on a price directly with the manager including the stock code, price and making a deposit is not enough. Make sure you get a signed proposal breakdown before driving there. DO NOT let them tell you to "trust them" instead and "swing on by". Despite an agreement over the phone on stock code and price, if the GM Skee(?), does not like it, he will say the price is too good and set a new one. Over the past two years at Greg Young...between my extended warranty company and out of pocket expenses they've been paid more than $9700 probably closer to $10,000.00. The most recent was timing chains replacement, intake and exhaust actuators in both banks, the upper motor mount that bolts to the front cover, and an oil change done in January-February 2024. The oil pan gasket was being repaired at the same time because it was under warranty through Greg Young because the last time they had repaired it the repairs had failed (this was the fourth time). When I brought the vehicle in, it was hesitating to accelerate, making noises, and throwing a P0011 code. I've done regular oil changes and maintenance on it as it was a requirement of my warranty company. $4000 later I get the vehicle back, had completed an oil change because it was due for one at that time of repair and I reset the oil life calculator while still in their service center bay. I received the vehicle back the beginning of February. Fast forward to April, mind you I only take the vehicle to take my daughter to and from school and on errands occasionally. It starts jumping during acceleration ever so slightly, so my dad who's a master mechanic checks it, and the service engine soon light comes on. The code is the same P0011. It starts hesitating to accelerate. It's going through fuel like crazy but the oil levels are remaining the same and there's still 12% oil left on the computer. There's no leaks. I called to get it in right away (the timing chain repair should obviously still be under warranty.) I was told it would be almost a week and a half before they could fit me in. I stressed the importance of needing to have it looked at. I was told it was the soonest available. I scheduled for 4/30/24 in the morning but called three times over the course of the week trying to get it in earlier. The 30th comes around and I take it in. I don't so much get home in the loaner vehicle which is a 30 minute drive and get a phone call there's no oil on the dipstick and they need to do an oil change. I tell them that's not possible or something is wrong because I just checked it the night before and it was fine and there was 12 percent oil life left on the oil in it. I hear nothing the rest of the day. Then get a phone call the next morning saying the bottom half of the engine fell out while it was there due to it having no oil and that the "code that the computer was presenting is not the parts that were failing." Mind you I never had a check engine oil light because there was oil in it...now they want me to pay $5000 for a new engine or I'm out of a vehicle. Do NOT have your repairs done here as you'll get shoddy work, mechanics that don't stand behind their repairs, service advisors that are complicit in trying to cover up shoddy work, and you'll end up screwed and they'll just keep trying to bleed money out of you.
