This is the street side. Biergarten is on the other side.

I just spent a most enjoyable evening at a charming restaurant and bar in the historic downtown area of Springdale. Our party had a large freshly baked soft pretzel presented with a dip and a variety of German sausage, pickled carrots and onions and of course, German potato salad. We had mimosas (I had a LaCroix) I also had a beer brat with German sauerkraut that was so good! My wife had a knockwurst and I also got to eat half of hers. Excellent. This is a charming place and Daniel and Steve Hintz are wonderful hosts. Daniel and chef Jennifer Hill Booker are business partners and brother Steve Hintz works the intimate bar. If you are in the Springdale arts district, you can't miss this place. It is painted in a spectacular mural by Octavio Logo, an up and coming artist now in New York City.

Great local gem with an awesome selection of German beer on tap! Very good food as well and great atmosphere indoors and out with the kindest owner.

    Is this business dog friendly?

Absolutely! Roughly half the patrons had dogs in tow when we were there. Plus, it was in the heat of the summer, so their shady seating area seemed much more dog friendly:)

The dedicated parking offers easy access if you're not coming in on two wheels. Service is order at the bar and take it with you to your seat, which works well to keep things moving. A wide range of beers that never disappoint. Offering smaller and larger beer options I would suggest going with the smaller ones unless you're really thirsty! If you've had a busy day and you just wanna stop for a few and catch your breath, this is the place to go. Check it out when you're in the area.

It's on a small pond (probably a stormwater retention pond) that has a bike trail around it. You could bike here, if you were coming from a nearby neighborhood. There is seating inside outside under a tent in a patio. Much of an overlooks the water and trees. It's just a real natural feeling, even though you were in the middle of an urban area. But let's get to the beer. I love German style beer, and they have plenty of it. Everything I tried was excellent. I also appreciated that they have large pretzels that they will heat up and that they're a reasonable price. I'm really tired of paying $15 for a pretzel. We split a charcuterie tray, pretzels, and a few other items along with beer. An amazing way to spend an afternoon with friends plus great beer.
