And hopefully will help with future problems. Their office staff is wonderful! I worked with Angelea, their insurance specialist, and she is amazing! I have known her for 15 years, as she used to work for my chiropractor. She is extremely knowledgeable and helped me find the best VSP plan to keep my costs down! I like the fact that I have a 1 year warranty on both frames and lenses in case they break. I have had to use that warranty a couple of times, which has saved me a lot of money in the end. Kayla helped me with picking out frames, which turned out to be a big job, since I am extremely picky. She worked with Mindy the office manager. They were kind enough to order a few pair to help me find the perfect frames! Thank you Angelea, Kayla and Mindy for your time and patience and great customer service! My appt was in September here I am getting billed again for the third time for same appointment weeks later (it's Oct 8). I have two different insurances I shouldn't have to pay anything for a SIMPLE eye exam. It's ridiculous. I call to complain cause why would they keep doing this promise me a call back within an hour. Nothing. So just to clarify I had an eye exam appointment in September. They told me at the appointment that my insurance will cover the eye exam. There is no co-pay there is no fee. I'm like perfect as to be expected when I have two different eye insurances, right. Wrong. lol They have now billed me again weeks later after they called me and demanded over $100 extra the day after my appointment because they messed up somewhere. I can't get an explanation for this of course because the staff there are incompetent when it comes to insurance and billing. Clearly. Manager can't be bothered to take my call. Won't be going back. Also getting into this parking lot and parking is a nightmare if you have a truck.

I complained as it was 3:30pm and she had still not been seen. We were assured they would see us quickly. Mind you, we live in the country 1hr away, so when we come into town we have all her appointments and errands mapped out for the day. I explained this to the front staff as well. I was able to reschedule my Sister's next appointment which was at 4 PM. I rescheduled till 4:30 PM same day. We were taking back but ended up being the last people seen so when we left the office, the doors were closed lights off and not one patient in the office. I felt this was intentional! This is how medical has gone down in Colorado Springs. The doctors want you to respect their time, but they have no respect for yours, even having people sign forms where they will be charged when they are late. Colorado is known to be the number one state when it comes to people with disabilities. If the doctor is running behind, they should give patients a call prior to their appointment and get the same respect that they expect. An appointment lasting from 240 until almost 5 PM for a disabled woman who is also about to have a tantrum in the office is completely unacceptable. I would like to know if this is the same owner as the ear associates? People need to start filing complaints with the state of Colorado medical board and any other board because this is completely unacceptable, especially in Colorado!

I called Abba early on Christmas Eve Eve and they were able to sneak me in same day for an appointment. I saw Dr. Douglas Kim who was thorough, informative and very forthcoming about the infection and what I needed to do to resolve it. They called in an rx for me at Walgreens on the west side at Uintah Gardens. Walgreens was unable to fill the rx due to a stock outage so I called Abba and they were able to immediately call King Soopers in the same complex which DID have stock. Abba went out of their way to ensure I had the rx before the holiday and I am so grateful to them! I went for a follow up today with Dr. Kim and he gave me another thorough exam and feedback. I'll follow up with my local optometrist in Dallas next week after 5 more days of medicated eye drops. Abba was easy to work with, their staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful, and I am so grateful I found this location for future needs while visiting family. Accurate prescriptions provide quality of life. I did not get that here and instead left with thousands wasted on glasses (with a prescription certified here) that has caused me severe pain. When I came into check I got a rushed double check saying I could just use my old prescription and they'd recertify that and a new one "but it wouldn't be as good". There is no compassion or empathy here to get to the root of your problems--opticians or doctors. What's worse is I went to a new doctor and he verified they had gone way too strong on the prescription causing my issues and was shocked at their poor attention to care and said shame on them for ever allowing this. There were instruments and machines I had never seen before. It was the most thorough eye exam I have ever had. I got new progressive lens glasses and I see much better. The quality of the lenses is much greater than you will find at discount eye stores. He even put me on vitamins to increase the pigment in the macula of my eyes. This reduces my chances of developing macular degeneration. I was so impressed, I sent my thirteen year old daughter in and he was great with her. I will never go anywhere else.
