I've been seeing Dr. McMullen for 15 years and wouldn't change doctors if you paid me. She is efficient and kind. I don't think I've ever had to wait more than a few minutes in the waiting room! We are all busy people and I really appreciate how everyone in the office respects my time as much as their own. Dr. McMullen takes the time to answer all my questions and doesn't make me feel rushed. She's also very efficient and the appointment goes quickly. The office staff is friendly and conscientious. I appreciate the reminder emails and phone calls they give me. The option to purchase contacts and glasses in the same location is very convenient and I've found their prices to be fairly competitive. read more

What an outstanding practice! Moved to the springs in February and was due for my annual eye exam and glasses update. Asked around and was told by several people to try Mountain View Vision, and I did. From making the appointment to picking up my glasses, I was so impressed With the entire staff . The doctor took the time to listen to my concerns and did everything to make sure that they all were addressed and was able to correct my vision better than it has been in the last 3 years. My kids and I have gone to Mountain View for eye checkups. The two doctors here are Dr. Melissa Tada and Dr. Stacy McMullen and are both really friendly and great with kids. The office uses high-tech equipment and they offer the optomap retinal exam. Unfortunately that isn't covered by most insurance companies so you'll have to pay $42 and $35 for kids if you opt to get it done. (I have had an optomap done by a previous eye doctor and it was included in the eye exam, which of course was paid for by the insurance.) You can also choose a regular dilation instead, which is included and paid for by insurance. They offer a selection of de$igner eyewear and kids eyewear. And yes they are pricy but they seem to be good quality too. The staff was nice enough to adjust my kids glasses too even though we didn't get it from there. As a tip, just note that appointments need to be made at least a month in advance as they are a busy place. So no walk-ins. read more

Every time I have some sort of transaction with this business, they bill insurance incorrectly and as a result they start billing me more than I should be. I have excellent insurance and have no billing problems at other vision providers (for other members of my family). The latest instance, they billed my insurance as a medical procedure instead of as a routine eye exam in August of 2019. Then a year later sent me a bill for almost $500 because the EOB came back as deductible not met (which I don't have a deductible with my Vision insurance). The insurance company processed the claim within a month and notified them with the EOB at that time. They waited a year to bill me. I only learned this after calling my insurance company because they refused to do so when I asked them about the problem. It seems to me like they either have unethical billing practices, or are not fully aware of what they're doing when they do it. Be cautious when entering into a transaction with this company. read more

I took my son here for his first ever eye exam. They made my him very comfortable and answered all my questions. They had a great little selection of kids glasses and my son found a pair he absolutely loves. He keeps asking me every day if they are ready for pick up because he really wants to wear them! I can not say enough good things about this clinic and it's staff! I live downtown and was in the area because my children had dental appointments. This particular morning something got into my eye and by the later afternoon, after flushed and drops and of course, crying.....it was only worse. I was getting nauseous and couldn't keep my open. I stopped by this office, as it was in the same building as my children's office. Everyone was very kind and helpful! I had the very pleasant experience of seeing Dr. Melissa Tada, she is absolutely such a wonderful and friendly person. So thorough in her explanations, and sweet in disposition. My kids were in room with me and she talked to them about what she saw and it never felt rushed. Highly recommended practice! 5 out of 6 of us in our family go to Mountain View Vision and love the practice. When we get there we are seen promptly, both doctors take time with all patients whether it is an adult or a child. They are both super patient with my kids and have listened to any concern that I have about the kids vision or my own. They have a very good selection, which I wasn't expecting for such a smaller office. Their selection is frequently updated, as well. The only reason they don't get a full five stars is that they are super booked and you most likely will not get in quickly. I am talking a few months out, at times. This isn't a big issue once you start going there, since you make your future annual appointment at your current one. However, if you have to cancel and reschedule, you have to wait one to two months to get back in. That becomes problematic when trying to keep the family on the same schedule to keep track of yearly benefits and such. It also is a bummer when you're trying to get in as a new patient and you have to wait so long. My husband goes to another eye doctor/office because of that. His eye doctor is available every Saturday which is good for his work hours and he can get in within a week of calling for an appointment. read more

Amazing! DR Tada is excellent with kids. She was extremely kind and friendly and answered every question that we had in detail. This is not your normal in and out optometrist, although quick, they are extremely thorough. The entire staff was friendly and courteous. Unlike other places where they guilt trip you into buying expensive frames and lenses, here a simple "we'll go somewhere else" gets you a response of "sure, no problem". The next sentence was a question of if they can adjust my daughters glasses at no charge. Initially there was a two month wait, but by asking to be called if someone cancelled turned that two month wait into an appointment with in 4 days. If you need an optometrist in the Springs this is the place to go hands down!! read more

I started struggling with chronic dry eye disease and came across the fairly new treatment of lipiflow offered by this doctor. I have learned a lot in dealing with this condition and am grateful for the treatment and care Dr Tada has provided me with. She is a joy to be around. I know she has other patients but she has a way of making me feel like I am her only one. The front desk is organized, friendly and efficient. She is very perceptive and intelligent.
