The electronic scoring and automatic bumper bowling are convenient features and staff is always at the ready when a slow-pitched ball from a little one doesn't quiiite make it all the way. The food is what you might expect and there are a decent amount of choices from pizza and wings to French toast and nachos. Little Mister is a fan of the French toast and you have the option of ordering it with either cinnamon and sugar or powdered sugar. Well, I suppose you could order it without any sugar at all since you can dip it right into the glorious liquid sugar called maple syrup. Or maybe it is high fructose corn syrup that tastes enough like maple syrup to pass with flying colors. The nachos are sufficiently okay. They get soggy under the cheese, and the chicken is flavorful but nothing to write home about. The potato skins are great dipped in sour cream and you can order them without bacon if you prefer. There is also an arcade that can swiftly devour your funds. Many of the games offer points that can be redeemed for treasures in the arcade store. Ultimately, you can spend a bundle of cash to win enough points for a tootsie roll. I'm exaggerating. But not too much. There are games like Wicked Tuna where you can test your virtual fishing finesse, or Jurassic park where you can blow virtual raptors into oblivion. There's even a good ole hoop-shooting game that tests your basketball skills and gives you points for your athletic prowess. Overall, BLS is a great place to unwind and have fun. Call ahead to see if they have open bowling. They usually do but if not, there's always the arcade if you want to lighten the burden of carrying all that cash in your wallet.

Great staff that are always friendly and professional. My friends who brought me are big fans of escape rooms, and they assured me, this is one of the best escape rooms around. Some clever puzzles, decent concept, mostly good experience. The Chernobyl room, however, was kind of terrible. I do a good number of escape rooms, and it wasn't that it was too hard, but more poorly conceived. It was a mix of super niche or hard to find clues combined overly easy ones, starting with an uncomfortable and somewhat pointless lock. It was also very linear, so a large group would likely have people standing around because there's not much going on at once. The most frustrating thing was the ending has a very finicky piece of equipment that we couldn't master. We ended up giving up because, while we felt we solved it, we couldn't get it to work and just wanted to be done at that point. Plus, our experiences outside of the room were super awkward, not offers for ceremonial photos. Will not be trying another room.

Unfortunately, my most recent experience with the rental rollerblades and roller skates was disappointing. On Sunday (8-23-26), my brother and I had to exchange our rentals three times because they were so uncomfortable. The first two pairs of rollerblades I received had front wheels that were badly worn down. You could tell the wheels hadn't been rotated or maintained properly to keep them evenly worn. This caused my ankles and feet to hurt while skating. The third pair of rollerblades ended up causing even more problems and left me with a blister on my foot. I really think the rink needs to update and properly maintain its rental skates and rollerblades. I understand that rental equipment gets a lot of use, but customers should still be able to skate comfortably and safely. I know I'll eventually have to invest in my own skates, but until then, I hope the rink takes a closer look at its rental equipment. On the positive side, the DJ was great, and I still enjoyed being back at a place that holds a lot of childhood memories for me. I just hope the rental equipment gets some much-needed attention.

We just held my son's 9th birthday party here this past weekend. This was my son's third time at RU…read morea Gamer. He loved his birthday party. The owner was there and another employee. They were both great with the kids. They helped them get set up on the video games, kept track of what kids were allowed to play what level of games, i.e., E, 10+, T, M, etc. They have a wide variety of games like Kinect Adventures, Kinect sports, Skate games, sports games and shooting games. The chairs that you game in are SUPER comfortable. The place is very clean, nice bathrooms, and good variety of snacks for purchase. I'd say that kids 8+ would have a good time here and I would do parent supervision for the younger crowd probably 8-12. The place is open every day, on Saturday they open at noon and stay open until 4am. Ladies night is Thursday and ladies play free from 6pm until close. I am sure in the evenings it is more of a young adult crowd and probably not kid friendly at all, but the young adult is really their target crowd probably anyway. BUT during the day, it was great for my kid and they really helped make him have a super birthday party. Highly recommend if your kid is into video games. If you are an older teen or young adult, I'd definitely recommend this place as it has tons of copies of most of the popular multi-player games. Open late.
