Do not go to this vet, especially on PDSA. One would assume…read morethat if a vet is the only one in the city to provide PDSA support they would be compassionate, but unfortunately not. Stead was r ude, entitled and abrupt. Refused to explain my pet's condition to me, injected him with something with no consent or information of what was injected and then falsely diagnosed fleas. Any time I spoke Mr Stead had a smirk on his face. He didn't greet me, did not check the heart, eyes or ears of my pet, handled my pet roughly. I found a ton of reviews reporting the same thing. The reception staff are lovely but suddenly went quiet when Stead entered. This man is truly a wful, r ude and simply a bad vet. I can only assume he saves the luxury of medical information and manners for non-PDSA patients. I will scrape every penny for the next ten years not to take my animal back to ST Stead. PDSA pets deserve more. Do not go to ST Stead.

They spend time thoroughly examining the animals and talking to them and calming them. The vet always explain to my young children what they are doing and why. A great vets with great care.

We thought our cat was going to die he was thin, weak, not eating or going to the toilet, within two weeks he was much better and now a year later he is as fit as ever. They provided round the clock care for the remaining 3 pups who are now doing very well. Provided timely updates on the pups who were in critical condition when they went into their inpatient care. Of course it was very expensive but I think all vets are unfortunately! We were happy with the service from Abbeyfields and would use them again in the unfortunate incident that we would need to take one of the pets to the vets.

Both the Surgeons and Nurses are wonderful and even our little scared-y cat relaxes whenever she's around them. They offer brilliant advise both over the phone and in person, are never late for appointments and are open late so you don't necessarily have to take time off work to visit. The surgery is clean and hygenic so there's no worry of infection being caused by the surroundings. The prices are about standard of vets that I have visited and we have not been charged for follow-up appointments following our cats being neutered earlier in the year.
